  1. depends whatcha wanna do with your car? do you have any adjustable links? once i get all my links, all my settings will be just out of factory adjustable range. i picked up some Cusco tension rods this evening....rear traction rods are all it takes and im done!
  2. fwiw for touge my alignment is Front -1.5* camber .5* toe in stock caster rear .5* toe in -.75* camber thats all i had adjusted i need to buy traction rods for the rear and tension for the front so i can finish my suspension but these numbers are only an initial alignemnt to what i had on my 180. i need to get it on the track and find out what i need to tweek...im sure the rear toe is gonna wanna go a tad in for a better initiation for my drifts....but it hinders my high speed stability..so we shall see. BTW GTR33 front fits S14 rear fits sway bar wise buttt since sydneykid hasnt spoken yet, and im sure he will contradict everything ive told you so far If you want an alignment that is in the middle of comfort and performance oriented GO stock camber all around. in the front tell them to tow it in a half a degree. you will get a more responsive turn in on your turns. but that is ONLY my experience, and is by no way a go by rule. i tend to like it more.
  3. with RS in a 225/40/18 being 120 a tyre and the SS being 80 For the price i can definately not complain they are even CHEAPER in 17s!!!! liek under 100 bucks shipped

  5. the federal ss595s are pretty grippy for hte price. i went touge with them, and didnt have a problem
  6. main factor is i have a half failed coilpack that is intermittent, 550s in without a tune yet, and a 3inch straightpipe exhaust from teh turbo back. im waiting on my turbo to get in so i can tune it. its my fault im getting horrid gas mileage.....and yes driving style has alot to do with it
  7. id imagine so itsa ll the same drivetrain almost...the rear end has a few different parts.
  8. a crossreference list ive made up for all the suspension components on the stagea info sourced from FAST, cusco, JIC websites Front Sway bar R33 GTR Rear Sway bar S14 Front camber arms GTR33 wgnc34 Rear camber arms S14 r33 rear toe arms s14 r33 rear traction /tension arms s13 s14 s14 y32 y33 v35 all 32 /33/34s a31 z33 c33/34/35 front tension rods BNR32 BNR33 toe rods front a31 cefiro HC33 M35 i think that covers all of them....
  9. its not about a high horse its about someoen offering less than half of retail for a set of coilovers. you cant even get them this ceap on YAJ. but its ok. im in no rush
  10. Cefiro Hc33 and M35 all crossreference

  12. i just like engine pics....thats the only reason why lol i like that dolphin bumper. i want to get the kit, but im not going to spend that much! good find on it!
  13. i get 200 KM to the tank in city around 300 on the highway
  14. i think you need engine pics
  15. yay mine says RC40 i just check!
  16. average depreciation on a used coilover is 40% look at yahoo auctions japan smarten up...i sell parts to the states on a daily bases. its ok, because a serious tuner would know the advantage of these coilovers....and i hope they end up in teh hands of someone that will, instead of a lowballer.
  17. maybe with linear spring rates it is useless but preload with prgoressive springs (which sprint has avaliable) not only will tailor a ride, but increase preload pregressively and yes on a linear spring it is useless except for safety the main problem with preload only adjustable suspensions is when you lower it, it removes tension from teh spring, and creates a gap as another gentleman was complaining about from the whitelines. that is unsafe i have seen it myseld on preload only adjustable suspension at the track, break, becuase the spring unseats while there is no load on teh suspension and leans over in the seat, making the strut come down on it, and shearing the shaft more than once you say all you want but the preload only suspensions are garbage IMO. extremely limited adjustability if thats what you want to pay for then go for it. id rather spend a few hundred more and get fully adjustables also on a anti roll note Sway bars can only do so much. im not going to custom make a sway bar, i alreayd have a 30mm S14 rear sway on my car, and it still has to much roll so...spring rates will have to do it and im drifting, traction doesnt matter (but thats only for me) adn on a side note, it really sounds like your pushing the groupbuy you made, becuase well, if you didnt have one, i honestly think youd agree that the dual adjustable setup is superior. at around 1,000 USD you can get fully adjustable setup that anyone could use, weather they need it or not. It IS superior in adjustments and sometimes quality DEPENDING ON YOUR INTENDED USE if your just a weekend driver, then im sure some clips on a shock body will do it. But for people that want REAL performance adjustments and not just an appearance and mediocre improved handling IMO. you have to sacrifice comfort for a remarkable increase in handling. becuase JGTC cars use only preload adjustment im sure....or time attack cars....or major drift leagues. Im callling BS on about 60% of the post you made sydney kid Not that im trying to be mean, just that your making it seem like there is no advantage to a different type of setup......at all
  18. the rear uses all s14 rods, diff, adn subframe bushings (if you want the metal ones liek i have) front uses skyline and s14 stuff...skyline gtr front sway, s14 everything else
  19. lol...if i could get it to you i would
  20. the skirts and front bumper are hideous
  21. eh, it works but it cant sustain a drift due to the open diff....but i haev that fixed. im going tomorrow to buy my nismo 2 way.....
  22. cornerweighting is a process of putting your ca ron 4 scales, put the weight in there that woudl normally be in it at the track (be it drift/autocross/grip/whatever) Add your weight in the driver seat they then adjust the height of each corner (or preload, depending on how you want to do it, i do height so my preload stays constant) so that the front two wheels bear the same weight, and the rear wheels do the same at this point you can also see your weight bias, and add or remove weight as needed (if you can) again 90% of people will never go through the pain int he butt that this is....but i do it every few months, or whenever i make a significant adjustment due to rubbing, which i need to do in the rear about a half an inch. ill get my first cornerweight on the stagea done once i get hte turbo in
  23. you cant cornerweight springs and struts
  24. well, as soon as i get them off the car, when my new ones get here (they werent the package like i thought they would be) ill clean them up and get pics up as soon as i can but for now, this is what they are http://www.silkroad-jp.com/section/a8.html and there isnt relaly going to be an offer lower than 650.00 they are twice that new.
  25. that aragusta is AWESOME i wanted it so bad, but i jsut didnt have the budget for it the shop i go to called Essential, the owner uses it on his S15 for grip racing, and loves it completely...when you order them, almost every single feature is customizable, from the inverted or normal tubes, to length of the shock, valving, spring rates, length of the shaft ont eh shock, etc etc its a great setup I dont liek flex, they are valved to soft for my liking apexi is just as good as anything, i wasnt very impressed on the 180 i drove with them...kinda a in the middle coilover like CST, K sport, Dmax, etc etc etc all the universal put your own business name on them coilovers
