lol dude, i have s13 traction rods r33 tie rods s14 suspension parts jic from tophats stock rears ksport coilovers (complete ass) gtr tranny s14 subframe and a homemade exhaust not to mention my intercooler mounting. my shits ghetto
-
lol hoenstly if i was in australia, id ask for an internship i mean, he knows alot of stuff, when he has the equipment to make stuff i dont, so i have to make ghetto shit work
-
true most liekly BUT, the reduced camber would defeat the purpose of the camber VIP.....
-
im not following mate top of tire camber correction is the same as using a camber arm ill post up a picture of the wheel and tire before i did any adjustments on the suspension when i get home, i cant access it at work it sticks out almost 2 inches from the fender. only way i could htink of doing it without alot of camber on my particular car, woudl be to get the rear axles shortened, grab some ikeya formula rear LCAs, and adjust them in, along with the Upper camber arm, which would bring hte hub in further, allowing me to run lower offsets without as much camber.
-
cant do it in order NOT to hit the wheel on teh fender, i had to max out the camber arm with no lock nuts, spot welded to prevent moving i can however fit a 19x10-7offset with minimal camber on teh same pull i have now. i had to shorten the traction rod to pull the wheel forward from all the camber i added.

the ride wasnt bad it wasnt bone jarring it was abotu as stiff as my stagea is now and remember, I didnt bring up the cedric, someone else did...... i didnt mention it anywhere until he did. but you guys arent attempting VIP, so stop thinking everythign i say is an attack....it wasnt even remotely applicable to any of you. you guys really CANT do it becasue of the laws, not your fault.
-
how about this then You make that same fitment a 10inch wide, -30 offset wheel, on the back of a Y33, with just a 20mm pull. go for it VIP is not a style for cheap people its not a style for people that think that way. The good thing about it? It weeds out people that cant hang. Id be keeping my cedric if the military wasnt bitching about me having 3 cars (i can only own two) Mercedes did it like 5 years ago as well didnt they with the little open wheel car thing All im saying, its not just a bolt on affair, you have to have a fully adjustable rear suspension setup, which is already costly for most people. Then you have to cut and modify those arms to achieve that effect. Is it reasonable? no Is it safe at that camber? Not really, if you dont keep up with your tires Regardless it is a style, which is next to drifting in japan, and quickly becoming the largest up and comming "fad" in the US. i kind of like the fact it takes alot of money and dedication to do hte more extreme stuff in VIP, it weeds out the poseres regardless Lets stop the bickering, i dont mind you, your a smart guy. Im 22, i am hard headed. Just the way it is
-
i will ill prolly do it this weekend when i replace my subframe
-
man, i gotta tell you if you look at it from afar the eyelids, carry the same line as the lower vents on the Dayz bumper mirrored soooo mean, i was driving in front of my car today
-
becuase its a style VIP is a style that is nothing but show. Its who can fit the biggest wheels, with the best fitment and i achieved it regardless if you understand why, or not, its the style you dont have to like it im done though i bow down sydneykid well, let me rephrase i dont care ill keep doing my thing, you keep doing yours
-
lol you do realize, that the entire suspension was basically reengineered to be exactly liek that? increasing a moderate amount (think 2 or 3 *) wont really increase tire wear the -15 to -20* that i have on my cedric, is a little different. dunno why you capitalized track this is like the 4th track car ive built, your point?
-
shit, i didnt even think of taht good lookin, im gonna do that tomorrow
-
i agree but dont say it wont bolt up thats the whole start of this argument People were sayign that the fronts were different mounts they werent. then it went from there
-
i know i can but i dont know the wire order to rewire it
-
I did a quick search on google, yahoo, and this site anyone have the wire order on the MAF and what is grounded (if anything) i have the SR wiring, but i dont know if its the same.
-
 some people worry about every little detail some people spend half that time just doing it and makign stuff work and get to the track faster im that guy im using parts from 5 or 6 different cars on my car to make stuff work I mean, it doesnt hurt that i have like a junkyard of parts at my house from my past track cars, but its not hard stuff that im doing.
-
i <3 ohlins i had a set on my 180, had then revalved for a 10k/8k setup, best drift setup ive ever been in i might have to get some for this car
-
incorrect tophat has rubber cup base, if you insert it, and drive, the heat generated from the spring will seat it in its new position on the tophat problem solved, i had the same problem anything else?
-
obviously youd transfer your stock tophats to whatever you put them on. i have stock tophats on my coilovers, no need for anything else. the argument is if they woudl fit so yes, they fit Now, if his car was on blocks with no suspension, that would be different.
-
shotguns are for people that can't aim i prefer an M92
-
same here i have to pull the headlight, then the corner light double sided tape here as well
-
standard is unaccaptable to me every car i get, within a week they are in the trash so IMO, no, even on a stagea, standard shocks do not work acceptably but you act like the remark was directed at you...it was directed to everyone who said they woudlnt work they will work, maybe not parfet (if standard) but most wont be able to tell. I mean, most people dont know when a shock is blown
-
but you guys said it wouldnt work NOT that its undervalved (which i stated) or that they arent for a heavier car you said it woudlnt work So yes, i call you that disagree idiots. I am here, telling you for a fact, not hearsay that it works. You want to know why? I HAVE THEM ON MY CAR. I have r33 shocks on my car. so who are you to tell me it doesnt work, when it obviously does. Its like the deaf leading the blind. Im sure if sydneykid came in here and said they fit you would all bow down and kiss his feet.
-
all you need is a headlights nad turnsignal together and you can make it id just use maybe two layers of the woven matt and cover hte lights with tape, then lay the layers on the light once its done, you should be able to pull it off with the tape and trim then sand, bondo, paint maybe a days work
-
you know what i bet you 1,000.00 that if you picked 5 random people, that dont do track time and put them in my car and put htem in a random car with overly expensive shocks with little collars that you move for height you wont be able to tell the difference only diff is mine is stiffer, and handles super duper flat around turns its al relative, most of you guys talk out of your ass, and on hypotheticals, while im sitting here DOING the stuff you say cant, or shouldnt be done. I dont have problems making apexes, i dont have problems in touge keeping up with other skylines and silvias. When you buy aftermarket suspensions, its stiffer than stock correct? stiffer than the gtr front suspension? YES I build my cars to handle, comfort is ALWAYS a sidenote to that. You cant have a fantastic handling car and be plush...its not possbile so yeah, if you were putting stock for stock on the car MAYBE it would be an issue, but aftermarket coilovers (i would never buy anything otherwise) its not going to make a lick of difference to the average driver. And if it does, throw the fronts out to get revalved for 200 bucks and call it a day quit reading your life away, and start doing.
