  1. lmao... i'm not THAT f**kin bad of a driver!
  2. spot on
  3. well, his insurance said that due to the location of the car (3rd floor of a multistorey carpark) he's on his own, so i was trying to arrange to get the car to a towie's holding yard overnight, that way you could have your rims back straight away, and he can then source some new wheels through insurance or something and the car is locked up safe and sound
  4. already been said... N14 Nissan Pulsar Q or Ti (they're basically the same as the SSS).... should easily keep up with a commo, and you can pick them up for around 4 - 5k... there are other options, but they're probably one of the better 'bang for your buck' cars out there either that or do as Col said and get a R31 or something
  5. i had 3rd party fire and theft on my sprinter when i had it, through Vigil, and also on my Ford Sierra through Just cars for about 1 1/2 years (which i had after the sprinter, so about 3 years of insurance all up) yet Just cars wouldn't honour that when i signed up for my skyline, they made me start back at the lowest rating. i just swapped to Shannons, and they honoured that 3rd party F&T and put me on a rating 2, so that's not too bad.
  6. dude... don't even think about getting an AE86 as your first car... a) they're rare enough as it is b) they're WAY overpriced, and parts are rediculously expensive if you break something c) About the only thing you have going for you is insurance (assuming its stock) - they don't charge TOO much to insure them (well, they didn't when i had mine anyway) d) don't know about now, but when i used to have mine the cops had NFI what they were, but i assume by now they've pulled over that many wannabe drifters that they've got a bad rep and are targetted by cops. e) They are not a good car to learn car control in for a beginner, as they are very twitchy, and will swap ends extremely easily if you don't know what you're doing with them. as has already been said, please heed these guys advice: they know what they're talking about... get a cheap car... maybe even a N14 Pulsar Q or Ti (they have a N/A SR20DE in them) or something like that if you dont want something TOO slow... it will be an infinitely nicer car to drive than a clapped out stocker AE86, but it doesn't have the 'ZOMG look at me dorifto' factor. Edit: also get comprehensive insurance, as it will help you later in life with insurance ratings etc, but you just have to be wary of what claims you make (i.e. don't make a claim for doing $1000 damage to the car, as they'll rape you for it... just pay the repairs yourself)
  7. try this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=12142
  8. what was decided with the snag sizzle? i'm happy to help out with that (maybe do a bit of cooking or something) if its going ahead
  9. Bryn, i'm happy to come up to you (i only live at Murrumba Downs, so you're literally just down the road from me) and we could take your car somewhere together for some shots if you wish
  10. congrats... i may just have to attend one of these days in the future, they sound great
  11. thanks for all the help - managed to get 4 x wheels for him
  12. pps - only really need 2 wheels, as he has the spare from his car, and another car there already
  13. even if we could just organise to borrow the wheels for an hour or so, so we can get the car onto the tow truck and to the holding yard, then put it back up on stands/bricks and you can have ur wheels back?????
  14. Hi guys, wondering if anyone has any spare wheels & possibly wheel nuts, in 5 x 114.3, that someone may be able to borrow/rent/buy for the night? seems like a bit of a strange request, but through my work, have had a guy with 4 x wheels for his Mazda SP23 stolen, and being so late at night, am straining my network to try and find some wheels/tyres for this guy so we can get his car out of a multistorey carpark and taken to a holding yard.... any help would be greatly appreciated. Jason
  15. p.s. i thought that steak was rather poor especially for $31 a steak....
  16. going to get ready now... see you guys there!
  17. that is correct Einstein... when i got my plates swapped over, they made a big fuss about making sure the slimline plate goes on the front, otherwise i will be fined (i had 1 x slimline and 1 x USA size)...
  18. 3 door? wtf?
  19. cops can and will defect you for ANYTHING, just to waste your time and/or money. when VY's were new, there was a SS Ute that literally rolled off the showroom floor that morning (so no mods AT ALL) that i saw defected, just because the owner happened to be at Aspley Macdonalds on the night of a blitz.
  20. awesome result man! Glad you had fun out of curiosity, what sort of mods do you have to your 32?
  21. if we can't get a booking, we could just rock up down the road at the Norman for STEAK!
  22. Spotted Marc & Karen before in SMR33 on Coronation drive, heading towards the riverside expressway.
  23. I'm out guys... have a wedding to attend that day.
  24. yeah, come to dinner! Kangaroo Point is just across the river from where you are staying, so it would be about a 10 minute drive! would be great to have your company
