Checked the mail today, and lo-and-behold, there is a letter in the mail from the lovely QLD Police with a nice picture of my car on it, taken by one of their happy-snap vans. To be honest, i knew it was coming, and was just waiting for it to arrive.... what did surprise me though, was what speed they show me as doing.... i remember seeing the flash go off, and i looked down at the speedo.... i was doing about 10kph less than what they say i was doing... and my speedo is pretty damn accurate (as tested on dyno's etc)... anyway, i'm not going to whinge that i'm hard-done-by or anything.... there were external influences (i.e. the dickhead in the lane next to me wandering all over the road, nearly causing mass carnage, so wanted to get out of there ASAP) and i had a momentary brain-fart and put the foot down... just so happened that there was a speed camera there... i accept i was speeding etc etc, and that i'm the scum of the earth and a babykiller and blah blah blah as per the media. As with everyone else though... if you can get out of something, i would like to... so, what i'm wanting to know, are what criteria are there to contest a speeding fine, especially one from a speed camera. There are several other cars displayed in the shot, one of them approximately 20m behind me... (the dickhead swerving all over the place)... someone once said to me that if there are other cars visible in the shot, then the photo is inadmissable, as its impossible to prove which car set the camera off? or are they speaking out their arse....?

i came up with 'enzin sisutemu' or 'engine system' which i'm guessing is like the red engine symbol you get on normal dashes?

Hi Guys, just wondering if i can have a little help translating this message? i test-drove a soarer yesterday (for my brother) and when you start the car this message appears on the dash in red, and it beeps at you. just wondering what you guys think it says? i've translated it myself, but just want a second opinion on it. well, one simple idea i had was have a 'lane' marked out around the drinks/bbq and a sign saying "pit lane" stuff like that is what i'm after guys

hrm... limited to 20 'events' per year.... that's going to suck ass, especially if they include driver training by outside organisations etc as 'events' i guess it's better than nothing/having it bulldozed though!

hrm.... i can think of quite a few 1980's cars in that price range that are decentish, and sporty, though alot of them are turbo so that counts them out for you immediately.... what about something like an AE86 (if you can find one without Takumi Tax added on) N/A Silvia N/A R32 Skyline R31 Skyline just to name a few

while the idea sounds great in theory, and i'm sure alot of the guys working here would go for it, im also sure that alot of the (hot) chicks here would dis-approve and no, i don't think it's really an option to get them in bikinis either

Hi All, My work is having social-club drinks on the 20th, and we're having an "Indy" Themed event to co-incide with the Gold Coast Indy. I have been asked to share some opinions on decorations etc, and have a couple of ideas, but was wondering if anyone out there has some ideas for cheapish (i.e. something we can make/buy for not much) decorations that would be suitable for a work environment.... any help would be greatly appreciated. agreed... the section through peachester is one of the best driving roads around... it is (well, at least used to be... haven't been up there in a while) billiard-table smooth, and beautiful corners...

possibly... depending what im up to (i have a very full day planned, and may still be busy at that time)

saw a black R34 with huge wing and (i think) stickers on the front guards.... racing a Z33 350z on the bruce highway at bald hills heading north around 7:30am yesterday. I was heading southbound sure, there were not many other cars on the road at the time, and it's a fairly straight road where you were, but slow down, and take it to a track, mmmkay? p.s. that z33 didn't have a chance

this is only a guess, but, in a single word no I believe this due to the extremely strict noise restrictions that are going to have to be imposed. as well as the track now being toted as an 'environmentally friendly' track, i don't think they'd appreciate people sending huge plumes of tyre smoke into the atmosphere. also, drifting is gay

was at coffee club toowong last night, and i saw approx 6 skylines drive past in the space of an hour

wow, interesting.... (p.s. im not being sarcastic) will keep an eye on these and people's responses i think

i shall be at stripper night with bells and whistles (and clothes) on. don't finish work until 9:45, but will go straight from work to there... hopefully someone is still there
