  1. yay... nearly time to tuck myself into bed!
  2. What about Driven By Heels? i'm sure there's some single skyline owners on there?
  3. um.... why....?
  4. well, my renewal was up for my insurance a few weeks back, with Just Cars (was with them for my last 2 cars), and i went with Shannons (thanks _8OO5TED_) instead. The premiums between the 2 companies were virtually identical (within $50ish of each other)... the differences were: *Just Cars 'agreed value' (yeah, what they agreed to, i had no say in the matter) on my car was approx $5000 less than what the agreed value with Shannons was (that i actually agreed to! ) *Just cars were going to give me a rating 6 NCB, as they refused to honour my previous 3rd party fire and theft policies with them etc, whereas i got a much better NCB through Shannons (they honoured previous 3rd party policies) *Excesses etc were cheaper through Shannons
  5. no offense, but why not just buy a 32 GTS-t sedan?
  6. no R33 owner outrage here, but an R32 owner its really hard to say what its 'the same as', due to the fact that i believe the turbo was specced especially for the RB25... hopefully some of the more knowledgeable members find this thread and share their wisdom!
  7. i had mine dynoed with just a pod filter and a restrictive catback - i got 131.7 RWKW (manual transmission)
  8. why does nobody post in here at this time?
  9. you described what my car does in the mornings, right there. has done for years
  10. you will find links to an RB20 wiring diagram on Meggala's webpage: http://www.meggala.com/partcss.htm
  11. Hate to jump on the bandwagon here dude, but its not really my cup of tea. 10 points for effort though! Hey, at the end of the day, as long as you're happy with it, thats all that matters, right?
  12. ah, but you can top a polymer sealant with a good carnauba wax to get the best of both worlds
  13. mine, and alot of other R32's i've seen/been in do the same thing. you haven't got a leaking injector or something that is 'flooding' the cylinder overnight, do you?

  15. Hi Guys, I remember a while back there was a thread made by someone - can't remember who... (Cubes, Roy?) about the problems they were having with their AP Engineering R32 Power FC. when they looked at it, they found that its basically an RB25 or RB26 unit with a couple of wires changed? does anyone know where i can find that thread? Reason i ask is if its just a matter of changing a few wires, then it might be worth getting an RB25 unit, and modifying it, instead of forking out the extra $500ish for the RB20 unit... I've used search, and had a bit of a read back through the pages of threads, but i can't for the life of me find it! Any help would be appreciated Jason
  16. dammit, you beat me to it Nismoid
  17. what model skyline?
  18. Wow! Do you have a link to any information on how to do this? As i don't really see the value in paying $1500 for a AP Engineering Unit when you can buy an RB25 one for $900ish, when its pretty much the same!?
  19. sorry i didn't make it tonight, i'm feeling rather crook
  20. doesn't sound too bad then haha, i made the mistake of thinking the first one was a GT2530 (going by what the translation said)
  21. 1) Correct - polishing does take a small amount of clear-coat away... also depends on the 'cut' or the harshness of the polish... i.e. some will take alot, some will take barely any. The upside is, you really don't need to polish the car that often. If you polish it properly the first time, and use a good sealant and wax, then realistically you don't really need to polish it again for a fair while (6 - 9 months odd? if you keep it well maintained, with regular washes and waxing etc) 2) wax forms a protective layer between the air and the paint - yes, wax whenever you feel like it (generally not needed more than about once a month (as a minimum) unless its left outside in really shitty conditions. 3) Clay has mild abrasives in it, and you can get different compounds of clay... some aren't so good, and can easily damage the surface of the paint. Yes, clay will take very minute amounts of clear away with it.
  22. details? i.e. what actually happened, instead of just flying off the handle at the guy.
  23. not really on the topic of this thread, but i was wondering if you modded the RB25 PFC at all? or if you just plugged it in and loaded up the RB20 base maps?
  24. wow, gonna be a big night!
