Whats The Black Code Code For Stagea?
Whooby replied to RubyRS4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Remember paint fades. Might be better getting it matched. Just in case the new fresh colour stands out. -
Only a few days now. Do we need to put an order for how we want our meat cooked Myles?

Unless something disastrous happens, We'll be there. Ipswich guys we should arrange a time to gather and then head south. It'll be early, so early to bed the night before

Black over Grey, quite possibly the only one. Ours is pretty loud. If you live where I think you do, we drive past your place just after we turn on to Warwick rd. -
S1 Stag In Ipswich Today (warwick Rd)
Whooby replied to Mr GTS4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Another Stagea in Ipswich. Good stuff. There is one that lives up the road from me, a Silver Series 2. Baby on board sign too i think. -
I've had this problem for around a year now I think. Damn thing doesn't fire on first crank. Idle is slow to pick up to 1100ish. I started a thread on this also, I tried all the suggestions. I'm now wondering if the ECU has an issue or if it's a timing issue. Can't get more than 13 degrees(stock is meant to be 15) of the CAS. It's a massive pain. The car was fine for months then it all went shit. Ive tried: Coilpacks, Plugs, AFM, O2, ECU Temp Sensor, Fuel Pump, Adjusting Timing, Removed and Cleaned the throttle body and cold start valve, tried injector cleaner. Sometimes it's a little slow to start even after its warm. All I've got left is injector's, ECU, hook up the fuel pressure gauge I have to see what's going on. And any other ideas people can come up with.

Seafood FTW!!! Just write it off as a text deduction for entertaining clients Myles We missed the last one, we were staying at the wrong coast. Might be able to make it this time.

Hello All, After running out of 'easy' options to find out what the starting issue is. The ECU is next on the list to try. Car has a chipped computer at the moment, so if someone has a Standard ECU we could try that would be great. Car is most difficult to start when it's cold so I'd need it for a day or 2 unfortunately. If anyone can help out let me know. I'm out at Ipswich(QLD), but I don't mind driving. Or if postage is easier might be able to work something out. ECU must be Series 2 Auto AWD Ours is 2000 model, not sure if it's going to matter or not with the Series 2. Cheers, Hugh.

Not sure if it's possible with the RB's but what about N/A cams? works for CA/SR motors. Could be a good cheap option.

Its pain to get a replacement hose for that one, I ended up just measuring the diameter of the ends, got some rubber hose(rated for oil/fuel) and using some screw clamps. Much, much easier to get on and off when doing the plugs. But with a series 2 it's covered so you can't tell till you take the cover off, so it's up to you if you want to track the hose down.

Water Leak Drivers Side Footwell
Whooby replied to MyStag260's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
here's my experiences and ideas. I had a fair amount of water in the floor of the car a few months ago, turns out it was because the gutters at the base of the windscreen couldn't handle the amount of water. The car was parked under the gutter of the carport, and it was copping extra water from there. I took of the inner guard and poured some water down the windscreen. Behind the inner guard you can see where the water drains down, but if the front of the car is higher than the back or you're driving along the water goes the wrong way and goes straight into the grommet. My hole was on the drivers side, so I plugged it and it hasn't happened since. It's a pain by try to clean the gutters, they do fill up with dust and crud add water and it blocks it up. Check the grommets under the carpet also, take the drivers seat out and the side trimmings and you'll be able to lift up most of the carpet. A long shot if you have sun rooves, make sure it's not running down the pillar? just a thought. -
Brisbane Blessed With New White Series 2 Rs Four S
Whooby replied to mattye's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Very clean Stagea, Well done. On the topic of the lights, I've found that there's a few different versions, The twin reverse lights type, Cold Weather Pack with rear fog light, but I found a set that has the twin reverse lights but has shadow chrome opposed to the normal shiny chrome. Only seen the one set, any one else seen or have them? -
Ticking Noise In Back Left Wheel
Whooby replied to MyStag260's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Could be way off but do you have 2 or 3 piece wheels? My Celsior has some 3 piece Enkei's and I had a clicking sound too. Turns out the wheels were a little bit loose. So if that's the case check of the studs and see how you go. -
Spotted Black Stagea Yesterday arvo. Going along Ips/Logan MWY. another motorman Stagea. Very clean car.

Gday Again, Still Chasing Issues With My Wgnc34
Whooby replied to lilcrash's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
If it's becoming an 'on and off' kind of problem, just make sure all your plugs and connections are right. Make sure they aren't full of crud or broken clips that may be bouncing. Check for splits in vac lines etc. Things that are free and may solve the problem. -
There is a couple of shell servo's in QLD that sell 100 Oct. But its 98+Ethanol. Never tried it. Saw it had Ethanol and drove to the next pump.
-
NNNOOOOOOOO! How could this happen?? Did you have any victims? Has the car been smokey since??
-
Yes Hugh, but your son's S13 has alot of work done, 300HP is an awesome figure. Should be enough to make it go sideways My Celsior was quicker than a S14 with a cooler and exhaust and it weighs over 1.8t!!!! Even though the Stagea has more weight a stock S15 vs. a stock Stagea(S1) may be fairly matched. But Phil's has some goodies. Even if I don't run it'd be good to go the drags again.
-
My $$ would be on Phil, As the S15(standard) I've seen haven't been much to rave about. Compared to the Stagea anyway. Shall keep it in mind Hugh.

Spotted White Series 2 last night. On Moggill Rd. about 8:40. Blown Headlight and fog lights on.

Great feature, just make sure no one gets their finger stuck. Because it doesnt have a jam sensor like a window. It just keeps going. -
How Fast Is Your Stagea (really)?
Whooby replied to KiwiRS4T's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
No turbo mods, 3 off the turbo back(Mandel not pressed), hi-flow cat, resonator+cannon, K&N panel filter, MiNes ECU(Jap Spec),Super Spark Coils(Work great), Replaced SMIC with a Mint one(See my thread for pics of the old one). Hasn't seen the dyno yet or the strip. But it faster from standing starts than a 4door Golf GTi, VX SS (aircon on and 3 ppl in the car), couple of turbo Magna's My Celsior made 131kW before the X-pipe, Hi-flow cats, big leads and new plugs. So fingers crossed for a good dyno resualt. -
Finding out the car had MiNes ECU was a big surprise
