    Snapping My Car

dont know the exact reason. i thought it was power to weight.. but then that wouldnt make sense cause they got some powerful cars over there. i think the U.S government is just too scared of a clean street warrior! you can have them over their but only for track use and stuff like that. i think i read somewhere that after 2F2F paul walker brought a 34 gtr or something..and loves it. someshit!
  2. rears are 36cm fronts are 37cm what are yours?? im guessing low 30s cheers
  3. haha that pic of the red 33s wing is soooo ghey! roughly how much are the stealth/drift wings to buy?????
  4. yeah looking at your pics, (nice car btw) i would want it about that low.
  5. yeah the rear are 9.5 and the front 8 or 8.5. hard to judge by the pics but the outside of the tyre and wheel sit straight inline with the wheel arch/body. so they dont stick out or anything.. as i said i dont want its dumped on its arse, just sitting a bit (inch maybe) lower than it is now. cheers
  6. +1 for that!!
  7. ^^^ jeeze thats a phat 33
  8. yeah definetly dont want to strech my tyres. any other help? cheers
  9. just weighing up my options... ok firstly i know the odds are against me in thins department. i got 275s in the rear and 245s up front. ive been reading through some old threads and have come up with: 1. dont lower the car on standard shocks (thanks sydneykid) bad bad bad! (which i woundnt do anyway) 2.dont cut springs.. (no way in hell!) 3.make sure you have a good combination of spring rate and shocks.. -now having these wheels i assume if im going to get it lowered im going to have to pump guards?? or at least lip them.? -if anyone is in or has been in a similar situation, what have you done that works good for you?? i dont mind a stiff ride, no track use.. ect.. and it doesnt have to be LOWW!!! just sitting nicley what springs and shock combo would be good considering my situation?? price roughly?? oh.. and is pumping the guards a massive deal? as in time and money?
  10. i think the stock ones arent metal (shiney), im sure there ceramic or whatever. pics will be able to determine
  11. nice! post up the finished when ya get the chance!
  12. did you run into any problems with the cooler and front bar??? did you have to chop chop
  13. nothing too outrageous.. entertaining with friends (i.e more than 2 people in the car) Rover on DUBS daily R8 weekend fun Z-tune
  14. yeah what did you settle for..? PICS!
  15. i got my cooler installed at a workshop man. cant help ya. if ya got new clamps for the new FMIC then if there impossible to undo just cut the clamps off and you will have new clamps for the FMIC anyway.
  16. hard to see by the pics but the inlet/mouth size hasnt changed that much.. a tiny bit smaller but thats all. no difference in temp, and feel absolutley no power loss. just running some plastic pipe up to the old stock cooler hole.. which obviously does nothing for CAI but somewhat.. is better than nothing..
  17. thanks for the heads up. not to say that the old lady in the subaru is talking smack or anything. but everytime i get pulled over cops always say " oh theres a blitz or a crack down" wether its speeding, noise, mods, tint anything... i quiet regularly hear that theres a blitz. as people have stated. if ya paranoid bout it, dont have illegal tint. oh yeah when ya get pulled over, all ya got to do is kick out your back windshield and wind down your windows.
  18. theres heaps of topics on this. try a search for safe boost, boost increase, stock boost ect.. stock as a rock (33 runs 7psi at max) i wouldnt boost it past 10psi, i probably would even go that high. just get a full exhaust and you should be sweet to run 10psi
  19. well said. stamped and sealed.
  20. 19 for looks imo. 18 would be a better all rounder though.. decent 19 rubber would be $250= a tire. not cheap
  21. sorry to hear that mate, if he broke it, he should fix it. New mechanic! take it to an experienced skyline workshop. hear all sorts of stories about family mechanics, firends mechanics, uncles best mates mechanic ect.. not really know what there doing. since i have extreamly little knowledge about skylines, i wouldnt take it anywhere else but a workshop that had extensive experience on these cars.
  22. haha a ridicuosly stupid idea to put that on youtube. cops would have jumped on so quick. funny though.. oh the guys laugh was real gay too. kinda pissed me off.
  23. modify the snorkel. i couldnt find much direction anywhere besides running a pod in an enclosed box. making its not too bad. a few on here have done it. and ive posted this up before. heres mine, im not a fan of pods either. seems to work fine:
  24. ha well if thats the case, then get your service done then, unless there are obvious problems.. enjoy your car..
