  1. you've waited a looooong time to use that havent you?? haha
  2. have they sorted it out yet? must be itching to drive it
  3. the oil/water feeds are easy to do, definately no worries there. Its just nice to have the stock holes already pre-tapped ready to go, but i wouldnt go throwing the blocks out just yet haha have a read of the rb30 DOHC guide, it tells you everything you need to know and it has pictures to show you the mounting positions for the tensioner.
  4. i dont see a problem with it, if anything with its CR if it is 9.5:1, then it would be more boost friendly than the normaly turbo bolt ons. THere isnt anything "active" with the neo side of things, neo is just the style of the head, it has vct but that works the exact same way as in the r33's so no worries there (and you wont need to touch anthing to do with the vct). where are you from, i didnt think you could comply a r34 with a rb20? dont blame you for wanting to turbo it though, i've got a rb25de neo in my r34... f*k me its slow as shit haha
  5. if you were going to seperate i'd take the dump (as long as the wastegate pipe wasnt plumbed into it)
  6. also its normal that the rear are "bigger" in diameter because they have to house the handbrake assembly. The actual braking surface area is smaller on the rear though
  7. r34 na rotors and pads are the same as the r33 gts, not gtst. If the whole r33 gtst caliper/rotor is a bolt on upgrade, but you'll need the gtst calipers aswell (obviously haha) So just ask for r33 gts brake parts, people will know what you are talking about then
  8. HAHA wat??? how many phones have you broken?? i have a neat trick after a few beers, most times my shirt comes off and i start doing pushups & chinups... never really know why lol
  9. wooot wooot NOR Normally barning down dianella dr....
  10. is 255 for both sides of the rear or just one? jebus... also why are you replacing them? i've never heard of the wheel bearings go in any skiz to date, unless they were smashed. On a side note, make sure you correctly fit them. Buggered wheel bearings = wheel comes off
  11. i think your mixing hicas and the awd together hicas is hydraulic in the r32, electric in the r33 and my r34 doesnt have it all haha the awd pump are all hydraulic in all series
  12. The block isnt different to fit in the engine bay, there is only the slight difference on the bottom of the block where there are extra provisions for the front diff to bolt up. Other than that they are exactly the same. Also the brakes are the same as the normaly na skylines for the r33 and r34's Steering is also exactly the same in the r33-r34
  13. i would assume he means boost creep, ie boost keeps increasing as the rpm goes up. Quite a few xr6t boys have problems with that (obviously thats the gt35r iw) but the most common fix is a bigger flapper and porting of the housing. i would think the .82 iw would be ok, mainly because cubes is using it without any dramas. In saying that, i would make sure that the exhaust wasn't straight through 4inch pipe with no cats or mufflers, there needs to be some sort of backpressure to help boost control. is this your 2nd neo rb30? if so, did you have a chance to cc this head to see if the neo head is definately smaller (combustion wise)
  14. add me to the list cheers
  15. gearbox will be fine rear diff wont be its not a small job, like any conversion, its gonna cost quite a few $$$. Unless you were getting the gts4 really cheap, i would sit down and do the math and see how much you're going to spend. With the price of r33 gtr's these days i think you'll find that it doesnt work out that much more to get the real deal. But its all apart of the fun, if this is a project car go do it and you'll learn a whole lot, but if you want it as a daily save up that little extra and just get the gtr
  16. theres current group buys on slotted rotors and ebc pads, then another group buy on braided lines. Pretty well priced aswell
  17. this is all well and good, but these days most theives look at the front of a house, like the car and just smash inside and grab the keys/alarm remote. I'd personally just prefer a basic system that will do its job, but have a seperate gps unit tucked away with an internal battery so i can actually find out where my car is so the pricks can die. If someone wants your car bad enough they'll get it, its nice to be able to find them afterwards
  18. is a braided version still on the cards or nay?
  19. if got gtr bride rails in my r34 gtfour (has the same seats as gtt) and everything bolted up fine...
  20. im still very interested in their piston choice with the smaller dome neo head, should be very interesting. Goodluck with it, be keen to see it hit the perth streets
  21. mick is this your first car and are you on your P's? that sort of power is HUGE on the street, if you havent been in a car with that sort of power, i suggest you start talking to people that do and get them to take you for a spin, its bloooody quick. Its very easy to type numbers but honestly you dont need much more than 300kw's for the street, thats plenty. Have a read around for r33 gtst, see what people have done to get certain power levels, everything engine wise you learn from the rb25det's can be used for your engine. Also if you want around the 400kw mark, whilst your gearbox internally is the same as a gtr your rear diff definately isnt. They run the smaller axles (same as the gts skylines) and with that sort of power you'll definately start braking drivetrain parts.
  22. its not na if you use nos, NOS is a type of forced induction
  23. yeah instead of turboing his rb25de thats in the gts-4, hes talking about sticking a rb26dett in, still turboed
  24. no worries, you'd think cops would have better things to do but unfortunately they dont haha if you every out n about filming in remote areas just leave a screwdriver or appropriate sized socket in your car to undo your plates, but i dont know much about that...
