4wd Is Still Not Working & Some Other Problems
R34GTFOUR replied to omega36's topic in General Maintenance
if some one has gone to the effort to rip out the awd bulb then its more than likely something major was wrong with the system and they just covered it up to sell it. It may have a buggered attessa pump -

Very Disappointing Dyno Results, Help!
R34GTFOUR replied to Wacky Dee's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah thats not supprising, i've had a car on one dyno and pull 200rwhp then litterally drive downt he street to another and got 267rwhp, its been said before dynos are only tuning tools, and if you want to use them as power readers the best they will do is show an increase/decrease in power when you do comparison runs before and after changing a part (ie exhaust etc). The true determinant of power is a 1/4 terminal speed if your sure it feels dougher coming onto boost, why dont you just pop the timing belt cover off and double check the cam timing, SK noted that it may feel abit slower due to having a newer belt that doesnt stretch, but just double check it anyway. Take it to the drags when you have time and see what mph you get -
To Meister Or Not To Meister....
R34GTFOUR replied to R34GTFOUR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
the work meisters have 245/40 federal 595 tyres just paid 900 for them (i know a bloke in the business), and they are ALOT fatter than the 235 tyres on the gtr rims. On a track the pure width of the work rims will outweigh the gtr rims, but on the street the gtr rims are nicer to live with -
why dont you sell the top feed, then buy some side feed injectors that are suited to your rail. Problem solved?
-
aaahhhh a wa boy, where abouts do you live? looks nice n clean

Hey all, As my username my give away, i drive a R34 gtfour, basically the same deal as the gts4 in the r33. I have plans for this car, but at the moment buddyclub coilovers and gtst brakes(to be installed shortly) are the only upgrades. I've been driving around on 18x9 Work Meister S2r wheels for the last 2years now and last week i needed new tyres, i dont really have the luxury of having my car not in action atm so i ripped my wheels off (they were on steel belts... oops) and fitted a set of r32 gtr wheels i had and theres a problem, im actually starting to like them.... The work miesters are a big rim and two peice forged in design but are meant to be a lightish wieght and with the new tyres i just stuck on it weighs in at 21kg a corner. Now the gtr rims are a forged 16x8 and with the 70% tread left on them weigh in at 15.5kg each. This is going off a bathroom scale so it may not be 100% accurate but it shows a good comparison. Now from what i heard to roughly calculate the rolling diameter weight effect you mutiple it by 4 and thats what its simular to in normal car weight. So by me swapping the wheels over i roughly take the effect of 88kg from my car. Looks wise, i prefer the meister but the gtr rims are growing on me lol I've been driving with the gtr rims for a week now and the steering is ALOT lighter, and im actually noticed a difference in performance, it seems alot more responsive. The engine is only the stock neo rb25de, so it doesnt have a lot of torque to throw big wheels around but i wasnt expecting a difference like this. I suppose once the motor gets built, the meisters weight disadvantage will be worth it because i can stick wider tyres on for more traction, but for the time being i'm thinking of leaving the meisters off... So what do you guys think, to meister or not to meister?

hey guys, my younger bro just recently got his hands on a 32 GTR and noticed when he takes a left hand corner a little bit harder than usual the Hicas light illuminates. besides topping up the oil and or removing the hicas and installing the lock bar, would anyone have anyidea why it would be going off? cheers

Help! Will These Rims Fit My Gts?
R34GTFOUR replied to Charles89's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
dont buy them, 215 wide tyres are ghey, and with a rim width of only 7" you wont be able to fit much bigger later on. keep searching, plenty on nice rims out there EDIT: just realised you already bought them, OOPS... -
are you going to be sending all the turbos in one hit, ie once the group buy ends? also when did you need the bank transfer done?
-
they're bad in stock form, but you can pick the xr6t turbos up relatively cheap (a mate just got one for $800 with less than 30,000km on it) considering they actually are a gt35r with a larger rear housisng, you just take it down to any decent turbo shop and get them to bore out the wastegate and stick a bigger wastegate flapper and they are fine. I have a couple of mates running more than 550rwhp on the xr6 turbo with the wastegate mod and it holds boost fine.
-
why dont you just get an unsecured personal loan? it doesnt have to be for a car, and therefore you dont need a licence. But then agian, why do you want a r34 if you dont have a licence?
-
gt3076r - 1620 powerfc - 1250 gtr fmic - 250 get dump to suit your exhaust: 300 drop a skid... abliet over budjet haha
-
sounds like a blocked radiator if you only had a few blurts, if you were on a race track with continous abuse i would say you need a bigger/more effiecent radiator.
-
got mine today looks great except for one little problem, which i'll pm cheers again
-
now you dont have to worry about it starting anymore, you should be paying me....

if its a decent dent, they will most likely need to weld a piece of metal onto the panel so they can use a "dent puller", so you'll need to to be sprayed aswell. Probably looking around the 300-500 mark, definately get the money out of the kid, otherwise make him eat his own teeth
-
try turning it the other way??? dumbass...
-
great result mate
-
they would of stuck the bov in the vice lol the stock bov has been proven to hold over 300rwkw, you should be fine.

R32 Gtr Cooler To R32 Rb20 Piping
R34GTFOUR replied to G Kanobi's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
its pretty much impossible to stuff up alloy piping. The onlything thats shit in those kits are the clamps, which most ditch in favor of the big t-clamps. I doubt the ebay piping kits will bolt straight up, since they are designed for a different frontmount, but it wouldnt be hard to make them work.
