  1. bwhahahaha reminded me one time when i was at the gym someone left the treadmill running, and some lady went to go on it totally unsuspecting that it was on and ate shit big time. Everyone just looked at me cause i was the only one laughing
  2. ^^ as above, but just be extra careful when you're taking out the air vents with the flat blade screwdriver, the paint is very easy to scratch. Take your time and it will be sweet
  3. very nice, very original its definately going to be unique
  4. i'd say the ticking noise is just the exhaust leaking
  5. my younger bro has a r32 gtr, and i know what sound you mean, but its defiantely the stock bovs. At first it actually made me lol when i drove his car haha. The stock bovs dont make the same wooosh sound like the r33, it sounds very different, its hard to describe Its kinda like a retarded sneeze chhhaaeeeerrrt ??? i dont know.... lol
  6. if you're going to order a new one in why not fit it? Whilst its off and you have the gasket lying around you may as well use it, its a cheap gasket anyway, just replace it then you know its done.
  7. looks good, i like the colour combo BUT.... china cast < forged jap rims especially on a GTR, on a gtst you may get away with it, but this is like removing a pitbull's balls and replacing it with a set from a chihuahua
  8. out of interest, what have some of you guys paid for federal 595 ss for an 18inch rim? im looking at a 245/40 i've got a mate that works in a tyre shop and i was wondering what sort of markup they have
  9. sounds good mate, should be quite lumpy at idle:D kept everyone updated as you go
  10. for the boost gauge does it come with a map sensor? or is it inbuilt into the guage itself (ie you still have to run a vac line to the gauge)? it says that they are accurate (what gauge maker wouldnt say that haha), but are the ok for the price or are they bloody spot on in their readings?
  11. lol says the guy with a 33 haha.... at the end of the day its your choice, take both of them for a drive and see which one you prefer. The rb25 is as tough as nails in both models so i doubt you'll run into any troubles with either the r33 or r34 mechanically (unless it was severly abused). I personally perfer the 34, and because of that i drive one, it all depends on what tickels your fancy. imo the r32 is a great shape and i thought with the r33 they lost a bit of the aggressiveness by having a "smoother" looking car, but with the 34 its more inline of the r32 with a more "square" shape. The 34 has more power, is definately nicer inside and the exterior is upto the individual but for the extra 2-3k you would be crazy to get a r33 over a 34 (na wise).
  12. opps just realised its an rb20, wont got the rb30 route then get a 2nd hand engine, people practically throw out the rb20s these days
  13. if you catch it really early, you can get away with just slapping in a set off bearings. We did it to a mates car, 30,000km on and its still strong. If you've done a bit of damage to the crank you may have to get it machined, so pretty much a full rebuild will get done if the motors tired. or like you said just buy a 2nd hand motor, probably the cheapest option, but you may be buying someone elses problems OR slap a rb30 bottom end on your head
  14. ^^^ went the brembo theme haha, looks good just a tip with the painting, make sure they are absolutely clean when your painting (so get heaps of brake cleaner, dont cheap out on it), if you dont prep it well, under the extreme heat the paint will flake off easily then your calipers will = ghey
  15. only the r32 is purely rwd UNTIL traction is lost then it dumps power to the front r33 and r34 ALWAYS have a little bit of torque going to the front wheels (i thinks its around 5-10%), and as traction is lost it increases more front torque
  16. sounds more big endish than lifters. Worn lifters wont get louder under load, but a spun big end will. Check you oil for metal, if it looks metalic at all it'll be a big end bearing
  17. dont go a 3inch on a na rb25 its too big. a nice flowing 2 1/2 inch with a muffler and resinator is all you'll need
  18. well there you go, learn something new each day
  19. never talk to that person again, its bs plenty of people run extractors and full exhausts on rb25de's, you'll pick up a few hp and lot of response
  20. not if you bring a baseball bat the first hit to the knee is just to let him know you're serious, if nothing happens, then go the head shot
  21. depends on what you want with the car. If you're just running stock turbo etc, just go with the r33 rb25, its much cheaper. If you're wanting to push it a bit further, go the neo, it has solid lifters and gtr rods from factory
  22. cheers mate
  23. have they put a larger compressor wheel in? if so why and how much bigger? cheers
  24. the r32 doesnt have vct and has smaller ports afaik, the springs should be the same as any rb25 non neo (aftermarket wise)
