  5. iv painted some skirts and a lip with acrylic ... now i was all set to finish them off with the clear when i ran into a major problem . as i sprayed the clear top coat , after 2 mins the nice sparkly metalic base coat started to fade? went a sort of misty colour does any body know why this is happening? , i mean i mixed the mixture right . 1 part thinners to 1 part clear top coat? , could this be the thinners eating the base coat? any help would be appreciated?

  17. i lost my license approx 4.5 months ago . speeding over 45 k . 143 in a 60 zone . i have close to a month and a half till i get my license back . i was just talking to some one who said the following to me . i had 4 points at the time a friend lost his license 18 months ago for speeding 45 and over . lost it for 6 months , he also said when he got i back , after a month he recieved a letter in the mail saying he will be susspended for a further 3 months . because of the points he had at the time.he had 5 points at the time i also called the RTA up when i lost my license to ask some Q and A's , about 4 months ago . and asked my point situation . they told me when i get my license back i will be on no points for the rest of my green P's . and if i got caught doing anything wrong , i will be of straight away for 3 months . and this will keep proceeding until i get my points back when i get the black license.. is this true = or am i faced with another 3 months? i know this was a year and a half ago , but could this happen to me - can some one shed some light on me with this ? i will be calling the RTA tomorrow , but im anxious to know if anyone has a responce . thanks
  18. how is it possible to loose it 4 times ? thats a big amount .. agreed with everything that every one has said . so you have been driving for roughly 2 years , and been caught 4 times , thats CRAZY , i lost my license 4.5 months ago .... racing - it was the best thing that has ever happened to me . taught me a valuable lesson . ill never be speeding again . i know how hard it is with out a car . its a privilege to have a license , most of us take advantage of that i got caught doing 143 in a 60 zone . i could of attempted to get away , as they were on the otherside of the road . but im glad i didnt - other wise i would never have learnt this lesson the hard way! plus if your caught the punishment is much worse ..
  19. pics will be up shortly of the painted enclosure....

  23. to marco : iv seen the small baby apexi pod filters . they are tiney , but still an adverage size pod filter . it would just be more time consuming , you just need to think out how its going to be done . thats the way i did mine . had a good look in the engine bay , thought for a day or 2 , went back and had another look - then i came to my decision of how i would go about . but bolting directly to the afm was the best idea 1 / it supports itself in the frame - which saves you mounting them . 2 / make the whole frame stronger . if your thinking of doing a twin pod setup , PM me , id be more than willing to throw a few ideas at you with the easiest way to do it . yet again thanks for the good comments guys , glad to see good work can be appreciated these days.. cheers
