i was kind of thinking just using acylic base , and using 2 pak clear . end up going with the easier option . hmmm maybe ill have to do that.

so i decided to do repairs my self after and L plater reversed into me , now all the structural repairs went well , although 4 days ago i just finished respraying my bonnet and front bar . after the cut back and buff it was looking awesome and i was pretty suprised with the quality for a home job . now today i went off to the beach and my car was parked in the sun for possibly 2 hrs , as i came back i noticed instead of the smooth finished bonnet i had , there was a texture to it ?..... i was pretty pissed off thinkin where did i go wrong . i mean i know if you leave something freshly painted in the sun this can happen as iv come across when i have painted other things with acrylic in the past . now does any one know why this has happened?.. or whats the recomendation in order to fix this??... should i just sand the clear coat back and then give it a few more coats? i mean im sure i gave the bonnet ample time to dry etc...any help or info would be much appreciated. thanks guys

i had that problem a few years ago , ended up taking it back to the exhaust place, they yanked the hell out of it . i was watching he really had his work cut out for him lol.. took him like 20 mins to get it off , they ended up using a pipe like an L shape to get it off. try using hitting around it with a mallet to loosen it up , then pull with a hammer if need be .

na man no cutting , all depends what side projector u got , but mine were pretty big .

ahh you wouldnt ruin your headlights , there isnt any modifiying into the actual head light , you basically are just mounting them in . all you need to do is just remove the standard beam , which can always be put back in again . im working on the focus pics guys , finally had both done last night , now all i have to do is just get the correct adjustment which is taking a bit of time , but i will have some good pics up asap . thanks

im currently tweaking adjustment at the moment , but its getting there . as for hi beams , i have the 2 other projectors from the es300s which i could do .

18 inch Work rims , heaps of tread . tyres are 265 x 35 all round . wheels are 10 inch all around . offset is +35 iv been told . they fit on my gts pretty well although they sit out of the gaurds a bit , about an inch . at least 80 mm of dish . NO GUTTER RASH im seeking $1900 + a pair of r33 stock standard rims . or $2000 straight up . reason for sale - im after a change to something different. might be willing to trade

im spraying black , although there is a very very minimal tinge of gold which is barely noticable.

isnt it a bad idea to be using a sander on the car?... iv always heard people saying they sand it by hand to prevent indentation.

im seeking to respray my front bar , and a new bonnet . although i might leave the bonnet carbon fibre finish for a while . so what would i need , iv done a lot of spraying with acylic , but i want a strong finish so im on to the 2 pak . is 2pak a 1 mix coat , or are you applying a base coat , then another clear coat after? thanks for the info . might check out this place in yagoona , its only 10 mins away . cheers

thanks for the comments guys cheers .. as for putting a cover , to be honest you cant really see it with all the surroundings being black . i was going to spray the actual projector black , but when i put it in you couldnt even see . just took some pics at night for you guys to see ... i want to get the other headlight done aswell . although it is time consuming to remove those plastic covers , especially when your oven is too small lol and you have to use a blow drier.

after an L plater reversed into my car i decided to do the repairs my self and keep the insurance cash . in the process of sanding scratches out of my headlight, i decided to switch to projectors with hids . bought myself a pair of lexus es300 headlights , and took out the projectors . heated the headlight cover off and mounted the projector , installed the hid . suprisingly it came out a lot better then i though it would . i ended up putting 6000k hids in . im halfway there just have one more headlight to do . as hard as it is , there is no aftermarket headlights for r33 , unless of coarse you buy r33 gtr headlights with the projector . they look pretty neat although they are like 2k aparently . this job basically cost me $200 ... $50 for the es300 headlights and $150 for the hids .... tell me what you think , ill get some pics up later of night views... cheers
