It really blows in these situations where idiots on the road can cause you to be in an accident but it ends up being your fault as you hit the other driver from behind. Have to agree with you. Think about it from their perspective. A couple "kids" under 21 want to pay you money to cover all the possible costs of repairs for a car worth $200k? Due to their age, they likely dont have a lot of driving experience, more along the lines of you CAN'T have a lot of experience due to your limited time at being able to have a license. Plus young drivers are more prone to speeding, etc even if you personally don't fit that category. How much money would charge a couple of people that came to you, asking you to take on that risk? I wouldn't be surprised if they asked for $20k just to insure you if anyone actually agrees. On the other note. Best of luck mate. Would be awesome if you actually got it covered.

Just a general comment on this as my plates are my surname. And I know you weren't having a go at me personally. They were a gift my partner got me for christmas a while ago as all my mates call me by my surname. Its like a nickname in this case. Its not that I went out and purchased them to 'label' my car or let you know who's driving. I like the plates a lot anyway. Plus my grandpa was proud as punch (is that the expression?) when he saw them. Just thought i'd put a different spin on the idea of having your name on your plates as opposed to the above opinion.

Pettet knows his stuff and has a reputation for targetting imports. You are not able to make holes in the body of the car for piping. They will need to be repaired (covered/filled) for it to be satisfactory to the best of my knowledge. I suggest reading through the EPA thread as i'm sure this must have been covered before. My recommendation would be to get it to an engineer quick. You'll most likely have to remove the intercooler you are using unless you can get some custom piping to connect it another way.
