  1. I got a custom made one put on a flange near the end of my exhaust pipe. Chokes the hell out of the engine, runs like crap, sounds even worse. Cant even tell its on at idle. But it came through as legal. Because its on a flange though I can swap it over at any time in about 10 minutes. Im guessing your cat may have been bashed out or something as a stock exhaust should definately be legal.
  2. PM Sent, not advice on cameras though, so help him out guys

    Cracks me up. HAMMERTIME!
  4. Simple rules. You move to a country, yuo live by that countries rules, traditions, conditions, etc. You dont come to another country and try force your beliefs, way of life and whatever else on the people of that country. If they want to know how you do things, im sure they will ask. Situations that annoy me especially are those with schools bending rules for foreign students. Being allowed to wear the muslim headscarfe, being allowed to carry a small knife, not saying god bless in some schools as it may offend them. Im damn sure if aussie kids went and lived in the middle east for example, they couldnt turn up at a school there in a skirt, their head uncovered and wear a cross around their neck (yes I know im generalising, but you get the point). You adjust to the way of life of the country you move into. If you dont like it or its offensive to you, then head back home. Also, if you come here, make an effort to learn english. Mix with people other than that of your own nationality. No offense to anyone here but the chinese tend to be really bad with this at times.
  5. Deakin University in Burwood. Multi level carpark in the back
  6. Ive gone cruising down St KIlda with a couple R33's an STI and an Astra T (no comments needed on the astra), passed multiple police with no problems. Cruize slowly and itll be fine.

One of my best mates is a mechanic and at his workshop one day Nova came down and was doing a big promotion for gas conversions for cars. They actually had a Skyline come into their garage who has done a complete gas conversion (cant even run off petrol anymore, solely gas), and they actually produced more power with no other modifications. Supposedly if you do a full conversion properly (changing injectors, etc) to only run gas, your car will put out more power, and of course be cheaper to run in the end. Food for thought
  8. Not being able to hit your kids is stupid. I got belted when growing up and I turned out fine (so I think). I really think hitting chuildren isnt that bad within reason. Eg: a smack on the bum with your hand or wooden spoon. It really teaches good discipline.
  9. Best bet is to go to the wreckers. Other forum members will be able to tell you which ones are more likely to have skylines on hand. But wreckers/pick-a-part type places will be the best bet for something like this which isnt exactly a normal request.
  10. Im going to try and make it tonight too. Will depend on the missus, but will see what we can arrange. Would be good to finally meet some of you in person.
  11. Its sad but true. People will and do discriminate against other races. I was treated differently when I was overseas because I was white. Pretty much experienced racism first hand for the first time in my life. And I see it here a lot. My partner is Sri Lankan so naturally she is brown. I see people treat her rudely at times and ill walk up for the same thing a minute later and if they dont know we are together, I get different treatment. But yes, those that are overly sensitive about words like brown, black in relation to their skin colour need to get over it. Its not a bad thing unless you think thats the case.
  12. Sounds awesome. Would love to take part in this. Email sent.
  13. Im the second owner of my car in Australia. It came from kamikaze imports in nunawading. I know they arent the cheapest around by any means, but the car was in very good condition.

    Help Needed =)

You may find its simply cheaper to get SAU membership and use the supporter offer than to buy it and pay for installation even if you cant make sue of the other benefits.
  15. Mate got his STI tires (bridgestone semi slicks of some sort), just done at Bob Janes on centre road. Did a good job as it hasnt gone yet after 6 months
  16. Happy Bday Ash. Sounds like you partied in style
  17. The 32 will cost you more to run and maintain full stop. My best mate had a R33 gtst and went to a R32 GTR. While he enjoyed the power and handling, it was his daily driver. And R32's arent necessarily 'easy' cars to drive. They are mean cars on the track and have a lot of power, but driving with a heavy duty triple plate clutch in peak hour is tiring after a while. I drove both cars and while the R32 was fun, it wouldnt be my choice for a daily driver. Plus the costs of just replacing parts over time isnt small. Keep in mind you can be comparing a car from 1989 to a car from 1997. R33 gtst parts are cheap and easily available in comparison. Also as said, the R32 will 'feel' like an old car. The R33's are much more comfortable and nicer looking inside.
  18. I am starting to think Abu has nothing else to do other than look up R32 pics all the time.
  19. I like the idea of limiting speed for P platers cars. Maximum speed on aussie roads is 110. There has to be some sort of ECU control that can be fitted to cars to limit them from exceeding that speed. Dont get me wrong, that speed is still dangerous, but every bit faster youre going, the more damage its going to do. Or even better, have the ECU speed restriction and make the ecu control the acceleration. Aint going to be any P platers dragging if all their cars take 15 seconds to do 0-110 and then they are maxed out. I know in reality, while this would be the safest type of restrictions you could put in place, it isnt viable due to the scale and cost of the whole thing. But I think if they cant accelerate fast and they cant reach high speeds, alot of your problems are solved. That type of acceleration restriction, would affect the power output of any engine enough to stop things like burnouts too.
  20. LOL. Too true
  21. Im in Box Hill these days, but Ill probably be heading there with some mates from the Rowville area. Let us know if youre near either.
  22. Like to think I found good rims to suit my silver R33. But yes, it took me a while and wasnt easy to find. Happy with them though.
  23. More wasted lives. So sorry to hear it. Please everyone be safe on the roads this christmas holidays. So much traffic and so many people drinking alot. Just play it safe.
  24. R33's do. A standard R33 GTST is over power/weight for P Platers. You can get either an NA R32/33/34 or a R32 GTST.
  25. If I win the full 22 million, ill keep my word.
