If you are on P Plates it is a mission of Police to give you a hard time as its keeps them in the back of your mind and they hope this will keep you alive, but mostly it will peees you off and would come under harrasment in your books.

I think the Cops were pretty nice to you, and I would leave it at that. The point is you were doing something wrong and know will have to pay for it, if you try and outwitt the system it will come back and bight you on the ass, it would be like poking a sleeping Rottwieler with a big stick, soon it will awake and grab you.

Ok know how to get the air/fuel mixture right on the AFM on a RB30 by watching the code lights on the ECU when they stop flashing your mixxtures right, My question is are the RB20DET (Redtop) done the same way????

Contacted petrojet in Melbopourne & they couldnt help me?? Most Fuel injector places when I tell them what I am after basicly say sorry cant help you. I was wondering wether I can put bigger one in with a standard computer, would have thought the maps would have to be changed. and at $280 each to replace the six, would be cheaper to buy a whole Silvertop motor and do a transplant

Can any one tell me the Specs on the RB20DET Red top NICS Fuel injector, so far I know they are low resistance of between 2-3 Ohms I think they are 370cc but would need this confirmed. Also is there a replacement for them.

How do you tell the difference in Nissan Turbos? I was looking at a site the other day and there was a picture stating that he had two RB20det Roller bearing turbos one was identical to mine it had marking 16V on the front and the same style actuator. What confuses me is my RB20det (Red Top NICS)is suposed to have a ceramic non ballbearing turbo. How do you actualy tell what type you have with out pulling the thing apart? Is there a list of model numbers? any info would help. thanks

Wanted RB20det Red top coil as one of mine has died.

Ok my wiring conneters are starting to break up on my coil pack and are looking at getting a new harness made up, I can see this is going to cost some serious money. My question is can you run a single coil on a red top RB20det with high tension leads instead of bloody expesive coils packs as I think one of them has gone as my car seems to be not running on all cylinders. Help please!!!!

I would be looking at a high rise manifold and to get the bends and laser cut adaptor plates would be around the $300 mark, so cost would be very good...

While were on the turbo thing I was thinking of making up a manifold to hold twin Turbo on my RB20, would twin RB20 turbos work fine and what RwKw would you get also what pitfalls can you see in doing this. I know I am stealing your thread Andrew but just another idea down this road..

There has been radical changes with this car so I would be waiting for the 2nd series before I bought one, to make sure they get all the bugs out as you find with Holden & Ford the first of a new model has a few problems and they are generaly fixed in the second series.

It all comes down to Penis envy and somtimes I think some people must have very small ones;)

Mario has had a big dummy spit, So I think we will see what happens when he calms down if he goes ahead with it. Viper 180 I have a GTS coupe and they are great car they have the same problems as the aussie one, in other words not many. I have a nics in mine and it goes fine compared to my old RB30 Silo (grunt wise), up the boost a little or even change the turbo, an IC and you have a half descent car. All up bang for buck, good car

Oki checked the place today, they have the fine mesh but dont have the large stuff and they want $50 per sheet which is 1200 X900 they are called Masfield engineering in Bendigo as I said could be a bitch in price to post something of that size, I think they have a dimension limit anyway. If people are realy interested let me know, but I would try somewhere in Melbourne first...
