For those who might recognise me, I've decided not to risk driving a GTS-T on my P's for 3 years. But I can't not have this car. So I thought about un-turboing it. It'll have to be a good enough job to be registerable as a naturally-aspirated engine, so I need all the ideas and help I can get. I'm assuming simply disconnecting the turbo from the intake manifold won't be enough for the insurance companies because the turbo will still be there. Anyone? Many many thanks in advance.

Hi all, I'm 21 and got my license a couple of months ago, and have recently come into a situation where I'm able to buy an extremely good condition R33 GTS-T from a colleague. However I'm also aware of the ridiculous restriction laws on P-platers. I don't want to wait 3 years while kids are driving around in more powerful Aussie 6-cylinders. How often are you, as a Skyline driver, targeted by the police? How risky do you think this idea is?

To the guys who drive and havne't been pulled over, do you wear your P's? Isn't it a big giveaway if the cops see a Skyline with a P on it? That's what's bothering me. SUR33L: They didn't notice that you were a P plater in a turbo car? O_o Sometimes it seems like a huge risk, sometimes not at all.
