When I first got my p's (I'm on a full license now) I only had an auto license. Just before I bought my skyline (just over a year ago) I went in to the government shop front and asked them to take the automatic condition off my license. I called up the dickson motor reg before hand and they told me as long as I've had my p's for 12 months I can get the automatic condition taken off. There was no charge. May as well do it, it takes about 30 mins out of your lunch hour...

Hey guys, Just wanting to know if anyone had seen these speakers before, they were in the front. My brother thinks they are the factory speakers, but I think he's wrong. I'd say they would have been installed in Japan as Carrozzeria is a rebrand of Pioneer in Japan (I think). I tried a google search for the model number but came up with nothing. Thanks.

Any idea how much it would be to ship to Canberra? Depending on how much that would be determines how serious I am...

I think I may have the same problem. The timing belt + a few others was changed about 7000 ks ago. It does only seem to happen when it's cold. I do notice that the oil light is on while it squeels. The squeeling and oil light both stop/turn off at the same time. I thought it may be the oil but I changed it 2k k's ago and am using a full synthetic 5w-40 oil.

This site has some good info for Australian laws and radar/laser equipment used by the police. http://radarlaser.com.au/ A friend of mine recently got busted with a radar detector on the way to the snow. Cop was going in the opposite direction and the radar detector picked up the police radar. There happened to be a radar detector detector installed on that car and got pulled over. My friend was fined $1000 and had to hand over the detector. If he didn't hand it over the cop threatened a further $1000 fine on top of that. I'm not sure if he could do it but my friend wasn't going to find out the hard way. Thinking about it my friend could have been a bit smarter about it. He should have turned the detector off once it had picked up the cop. Once he saw the cop turn around he should of taken it off the sun visor and got his passsenger to stuff it down their pants. If the cop wants the detector he has to search for it. I believe they can search your car but not your person, but don't quote me on that.
