  7. Beautiful car dude! thought it deserved to be back up the top
  8. I swear it looked like a car but I could be wrong.
  9. Another vote for the porka that just hammers past
  10. I think GTS4WD meant SDRO let it go, not you dude. This is an absolute joke that they could try to bring this sort of crap to the surface now.
  11. How about make driver training a compulsory subject in school from as early as year 7? There would be ways to implement it and have progressions in car types/power until it's a proper car. You could simulate traffic conditions and all sorts of stuff but more importantly have class sessions which give the kids an early introduction into the operation of a car, limitations and most importantly the injuries suffered when an accident occurs at 10km/h over the limit 20,30,40,50 and hitting at different points of the car. No babying, no Hollywood re enactments! The gruesome truth. I got to see a couple of months ago a police video of an incident where a person dropped an oxygen bottle off a truck and it ruptured. I know all the people out there who do any welding will know what happens when they go up! Saw exactly what happened to the poor bloke and it wasn't pretty. Even the damage this causes to families and peoples lives and what about the poor emergency services who have to turn up to these things time after time and notify family! We need realistic options not stupid knee jerk reactions like taking cars from P platers, half the cars they drive are their parents anyway!
  12. Some P platers out there are just Fin stupid! I had some green P plater come right up my arse in a back street last night and when I stuck to the speed limit he went on the other side of the road, took a speed hump at about 40km/h and then nearly lost it on a round about 30m up the road. The whole time I really thought I'd find this guy wrapped around a pole further up.
  13. That's one sexy bike! I hope no one buys it cause I would in a couple of months
  14. I've got the same as mafia in a mid mount setup and couldn't be happier. It would be a bit pricey doing it at the moment due to the exchange rate but just keep an eye out for a turbo setup being sold which includes the turbo, lines and mani and get that.
  15. You might be talking about race car driving schools but we are talking about awareness and training courses, two completely different things. If you show the dangers and ramifications of causing an accident I'd bet my left nut you will decrease the nutters on the road by an amount worth talking about. You could quite easily take a look at what mandatory work place training has done for the deaths in work places as it will be pretty easy to make the comparison. A lot of 17-24 yr olds with cool toys which cause a lot of injuries and deaths.
  16. Not necessarily the case. Usually a large part of training in any regard has a large portion that is awareness and I would be surprised if the amount of people taking those risks after seeing the damage, both physical and mental that accidents cause, the number of risk takers didn't decrease the training isn't thorough enough. My experience comes from work place related awareness training where deaths far exceed those that happen on the road and I for one take just the most simple task of lifting an object, more seriously. I do agree that training can never replace experience from age but I can't see how imposing restrictions on these young people will ever be more rewarding them than teaching them how to survive. Sure it brings more revenue from fines but who cares about that when you just lost your son or daughter in an accident that could have been prevented from extra training.
  17. What colour is the car? Got a picture of the right hand side guard?
  18. This has been posted before and was originally in the $100,000+ so it's definitely dropping in price
  19. They only bring him out for special occasions. Holes shouldn't have to be covered up, if it is decreasing the structural integrity you need someone to secure a steel plate around the hole to return it to how it was. As for the other stuff your state differs to mine. How nice of him to do this before Chrissy! Hopefully an engineer is working through it
  20. That's an awesome buy for a complete kit like that. From someone that has done one buy this kit and save yourself a lot of headaches!
  21. I think it's a later date now! What was the verdict?
  22. I'm definitely in the group of learnt my lesson, having a head on with a tree is nothing short of humbling haha and I definitely learnt NOT to go head on into trees. Road conditions are another thing experienced drivers learn to test before pushing them to the extreme. s13 thanks for the comment I LOL'd at it many a times! Still cracks me up.
  23. That's tragic dude! I hope you are alright and definitely find someone to have a chat to about it, even if it is a friend. Moments like those can have lasting effects if you don't deal with them right. I hope you have a merry Christmas and a happy new year!!!!!!!
