No one has the right to hit anyone but he is in the wrong, he even knows he is in the wrong. I suppose you could question the trucks speed but even then without any factual evidence like tyre marks on road or a hand held speed camera from a cop how would you prove it. Rear ending is a completely different argument as it's general road knowledge that you have to always have enough room for the speed you are travelling to stop without hitting the car in front of you in any situation. It's chalk and cheese when comparing to someone pulling out in front of you from a side street.

As far as I know you are allowed to break the law to avoid accidents and be deemed in the right but regardless of whether the trucky wanted to avoid the gtr or not he will never be seen in the wrong as that would be one hell of a hard point to argue in court. And the point I was trying to put across is why should the truck have to deviate from his line and possibly go into another lane to avoid someone who is clearly in the wrong? I've always been told never swerve to miss things (people and the like not included) because if you do swerve and hit something it won't be the vehicle you tried to miss to blame, it will be you.

Even if the turbo is removed it is still classified as a prohibited vehicle due to the model and stuff. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. Also why would you bother? Unturboing a turbo and turboing a non turbo is such a hassle Especially when they come in turbo and non turbo models

I haven't heard of this paying business for permits but I have heard plenty of stories that It's as simple as getting your place of work to write a letter into the RTA asking for an exemption due to whatever reason (usually only car available is a such and such seems to work) and seeing what happens from there. The worst that could happen is them knocking you back and then you can just try again until they get bored of getting letters from you

I think this guy has a point. What difference does it matter if he is over 1 cm or 1 km? He is over the line and it is not the truck drivers responsibility to adjust for him. It's all nice and friendly to make swerves to avoid someone who has made a mistake but not when you could quite possibly cause and accident in the process. The guy is driving a truck remember not a mini minor.

Love the new STi. Went and had a look and sit in it about 3 weeks ago and to me it had an awesome interior with everything looking well finished, nothing looking takky at all. Outside with the flared guards and the little designer features to make it look more sporty went down a treat. Not a big fan of the other models ( rs, wrx, etc ) but sorry to say but I think this one has it over the older models. For me the older models were a rally car and looked the part, this thing looks much more like a sleek and stylish car you could do your everyday motoring in.

I'm sure if things were "legal" you wouldn't have any trouble passing without spending any money. Sorry for pointing out the obvious as my car is far from legal also but I definitely won't be blaming someone who is just doing his/her job, instead I'll be blaming the person who put it there, ME!
