yeah mad, im 6"3 but pretty heavily set, if you know what i mean. The 2xl frame was a perfect fit for me and it rode near perfect sight unseen and untested, so i trust maccas judgement (owner reccomended it for me, as he is nearly identical to me) I think ive got 700 28's at the moment, but they are up around 70psi, so the rougher pavement can be a little uncomfortable.

Ive been guarenteed 500kw atw out of the setup i have on e85, so i imagine 400 isnt out of the question

Got it from my local bike shop, but they dont stock 700 series tyres usually lol. They are a good tyre(the ones on there now) but im just a little concerned with the wieght vs. contact area of the tyre at the moment. The shop owner(good friend of mine) should be back after this coming friday so ill go have a chat with him and not his workforce next time.

Bought a Giant Roam, but had to get it in a 2XL frame. Not a bad bike, havnt really ridden a bike in about 8 years. Drivetrain seems to be ok too, got ACERA paddle gear in it. Now the question, anyone know of any good tyre and tube combo's for 700 series rims? Must be largish and pavement/road bias as its my new work veehickles

You need a reason to come to the most laid back state in australia? Come on mang, srsly If you want to make bulk money and can handle big hours, come on up, but i can almost guarentee that julia gillard will be sending you a xmas card funded by the tax you are giving her. The weather isnt as bad as some people make it out to be, i grew up in the centre of australia (near three ways road house on a cattle station) and that is hot lads, farkern hot. The beaches are kick ass, the pubs are kick ass, the lifestyle is kick ass, the locals are kick ass(mostly), and the monetary opportunities are kick ass. There are almost infinite holiday destinations at your doorstep as the country north of mackay changes yearly with the weather, you have the reef, awesome fishing, just yeah, stop bieng a phaggot and get up here lol. The only thing you may miss is the shopping and nightclubbing, its not as intense up here, and thats because nobody really gives a fcuk up here lol!

Crank Triggers And Rb Possibilities .

That system uses the same honeywell 101 pickup. Havnt designed a substitute for the cas on twin cam rb's yet. They just use the autronic disc in the standard housing. Works very well, and i can tell you, its very well priced -
Currently the entire ministry annual 2013. Good beats on that there see dee

first initial thoughts of a big block owner as it lines up would almost definately be DAFUQ

Yep, gladstone tax licks the balls pretty hardcore. I went in and asked for a roll of .9 bare wire the other day and nearly fell over dead! BOC in this town have near zero competition, only air liquide, who are based in rocky, 130k's away. Looks great darren, you definately have some patience buddy

basic run down for a streetable 26 that i have seen lately: Built bottom end: $5500 Recon/Freshen up the head: $2000 Turbochargers: $2500 Injectors: $800-1000 Computer and tune: $2500 Clutch: $500-1000 Freshen up brakes and bushes: $1000 Labour: $3000 These estimates are all a little above what you could get it done for, and for good reason. NOTHING ever goes to plan mate, sometimes you need a little extra on block work or tuning or electrical gremlins or a slave cylinder ect ect. To build a tough street GTR is really a 20k+ affair to be done right. I havnt really factored in an exhaust, fuel pump or suspension and tyres as i would hope they are already sorted, like 99% of the gtr's out there.

Went and spoke to the manager today about filling 44's and was told "what happens at night has f**k all to do with me". Guess ill be doing a run every now and then in the cruiser ute lol

Or a 3600kg boat with a 1hz powered cruiser ute, from gladstone to hervey bay.......would have been faster to walk it there! -
Rocky has it, gladstone should have it by about 2231 I imagine...
-
Still for sale guys, throw me an offer, least i can do is say go fcuk yourself

really? If they are ill be drumming it from up there for sure! Hopefully they dont mind me filling up a couple of 44's at a time lol

Vipec Plug In , The Major Advantages Over Pfc ?
33GTRV replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Well, its not a problem all big dollar builds encounter either buddy. The distortion you speak of has a bit to do with belt noise and interference, this has been attributed to certain makes of belts i believe. In reality, you are overthinking this waaaay too much. Its a good ecu, ALL of todays breed of ECU's are good, cept microguess. Honestly, talk to your tuner, nut it out with him and go from there. If you have a signal interference issue, sort it then. If you want an absolute hassle free system thats going to be there forever, open your wallet to the tune of 45+k and call Motec, get a setup with all the fruit, and be happy with a 60k build for 250rwkw. -
Look for the fuel pump direct feed rewire thread, it gets rid of the fuel pump speed controller and shows you how to upgrade your wiring to suit the pump and give it the juice it needs. Now, the battery. I have had 6 batteries in 6 years, and its mostly to do with discharge and not bieng able to bring it back. I had invested in a C-TEK battery cycling charger and i have never had an issue since. I went to an optima spiral cell sealed battery, on its side so i could get a bigger one in there. You pay a little more for a spiral or a calcium battery, but imho, its worth the outlay for piece of mind, and the warranty that comes with it. remember to invest in a cyclic trickle charger though, will do your battery wonders mate.

Id also look into the continental range of tyres. They have some great high end tyres that mach the michelin's but im unsure on pricing. We used to run the michelin ps2's on our M5 and they were a great tyre, soft, but great. I would definately be looking into the ad08's as previously mentioned, they too are a fantastic tyre for the price. As always though, they tyre relies heavily on the suspension geometry and alignment bieng set correctly for your style of driving, duties of the car and road condition you live in.

Vipec Plug In , The Major Advantages Over Pfc ?
33GTRV replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You can buy a kit but its not cheap mate. It really depends on what you are doing with it. Chasing 400+ killerbees, get a trigger setup. If not, id stick with the factory CAS. Search the forums for Ross Trigger setups. A few threads on it now. -

if you can track down the builder of twoogle, Paul, you can ask him about the modified CAS Discs he uses, or buy a new CAS, or go whole hog and go a full trigger setup. You can buy them, best to call if its not listed on thier site as it may share a similar model. -
Vipec Plug In , The Major Advantages Over Pfc ?

The biggest issue is that the search function is not used. Although all models have this feature, it is very rarely used. I suggest trying it before engaging in further comment. Kind regards, SAU community -
Vipec Plug In , The Major Advantages Over Pfc ?
33GTRV replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Roy, it has been fixed for a long time. People just dont update firmware for some reason. They arent wi-fi or 3g capable ecu's lol. Pretty much everything the link doea the vipec does, they are essentially one and the same. I just like the vipec for the support and constant development ray and his team are doing, and bieng so open about it. Im not bias towards any particular brand, just to what works. Haltech, link, morristech, vipec, motec all work and do as they are designed to. Shop around, look what the tuner is comfortable and confident with and go from there. -

Advantages: Quick tune, Maf OR MAP, greater res on the tables, almost infinite support via the man(ray hall) and the forums, Dual maps, limited motorsport features(anti-lag and launch control, some models have flatshifting as well), Direct plug in, expansion capabilities via the expansion harnes Cons: umm, yeah, maybe the cost?
