dont get it tuned in gladstone unless you are flying in a tuner from a well known workshop down south. The people here have no fcuking idea, trust me, i got bitten hard. i have been talking to mark and trent (godzilla and mercury m/sports) about flying up for a weekend. just need to get solid numbers and people to actually commit to the moneys

stay the fcuk away from PAR. Search them on here and you will understand why. 8 gearboxes in under 2 years in my car and they are still adamant they are not going to refund or compensate for thier mother of all fcukups

whatever the load you require, DO NOT replace the fuse to a higher rated fuse, i have seen countless fires in 4wd's because of people placing larger fuses in the system to accomodate the load when in fact its also the wiring that needs to be looked at. Too much load in the wiring system usually ends in a melted wire onto the chassis and fire, electrical damage and potentially a fatal accident if you are in motion

have you considered Ricknismo's bayside blue GTR? i have personally seen this car and it is SUPER clean. The guy looks after his cars better than he looks after his balls

benaraby raceway, coupla K's south of gladstone in CQ, starts in the arvo and goes till about 10 usually. Saturday is the 1/8th mile champs as well.

you are correct about the car scene dying. It may have something to do with the plethora of comonwhore and flaggon owning deuschebags partaking in random acts of stupidity and drawing the attention of the rozzers to a particular group. Up here in Gladstone its like you have to serve a jail sentence everytime you want to go for a cruise. We were going to rockhampton alot last year but they have really cracked down up there too. I occasionally head up to yepoon and cruise the roads with davo in his v8 ovlov but these days work takes up most of my time. It would be great to have a decent cruise (a sensible one, minus duckheads) occasionally, go to a coffee shop or something every now and then. Oh, and chocco, hoping to have the datsun back in 2 weeks. Then i have the lovely task of tearing the motor outta my mates crashed gtr so i can build a forged donk for the purple car. Money money

look up RADTORQUE. We use thier RAD85DX guns at work daily. Its essentially an air overated torque multiplier. The one i hang off a bit is good for 9400ft,lbs of torque. Good for those hard to budge nuts and bolts

well, depending on the numbers, venue they can obtain ect ect. im still waiting on a call back, maybe mid next week by the sounds of it as they seem to be preetyy busy there at the moment with overseas customers chewing up thier time. Ill keep u all updated nonetheless

thanks for the links and tips. I have called motec and they will call me back regarding a course in qld, depending on interest of course. I am waiting on a wb kit to show up and am trying to deal with the local shop to see if i can hire thier dyno but they do not seem all that keen

hi guys. After bieng repeatedly ripped off over the last few years in regional queensland, i think its time to look into trying efi tuning myself. Now, i have an exceptional knowledge of all things auto, well, nearly all as im a TQ mech, but ive been away from the trade for quiet some time. I want to know if any of the brains here know of a tuning course or someone willing to have me sit in on thier time with them as a scholar. I find it hard to justify paying 2k for a tune then the "minimum fee of 750 dollars" to have the car seen to every time i change something. Exceptionally frustrating to say the least. so, if you know of something, please post away or if you would like to keep it discreet you are welcome to pm me. Cheers, allan
