you should think yourself lucky! i had an autobarn install mine as its the only place i could get into at the time and they managed to drill holes, f**k door lock servo's and not protect wiring from rubbing through which resulted in a small fire and a dead computer. If i ever have my time again, i would pay to go see mr rogers, even if i have to drive 2000k+ to see him. Pay for what you get! free plugs ftw

Have been slowoly putting together a 10k GT-R mod package and have come to the tuning side of things. 10k got me a PAR gearbox, -5's, 550cc squirters, vipec, nismo pump, K&N panel filter, adj cam gears and half a tune at the local shop. ( the half a tune will be explained shortly) i have attached a dyno graph of what this setup made and im not entirely happy with the results. I was informed by the tuner that he was not impressed by the car and that power was very umm, linear. I questioned why this would be and 4 days and 2k later, i have no answers and a bloody big headache. Now bieng in a semi regional part of the state of QLD means im basically 600km from anywhere so taking it south was always going to be a second option. Lesson learnt! If any of the Guru's out there would like to shed some intrawebs mechanical knowledge on this and throw some ideas my way, ill happily take it on board and try it out as im a little angry and disheartned. AND, before i get grilled about going -5's, i went that option for future mod plans. The car drives average and seems to make about 4hp more than stock, even in the top end, has no coldstart properties whatsoever and seems to be running as rich as an arab oil baron at the moment so fire away!

Im chasing the strangely sized and shaped rubber hose that connects from the "Twinturbo" y pipe to the cooler pipe on the turbo side for an R33 GT-R. Willing to pay freight and dollars for the correct one in good condition. PM me of give me a buzz on 0413 125 651. Cheers, Al

Evening guys and gals. I am considering selling my GTR and possibly funding an r35 or maybe a serious r32 build. But for the moment, i am considering EOI's on the current numberplates on the car. Black background, silver writing, slimline front and back and a perfect fit to the rear bumper cavity of the 33 gtr. Combination is 33GTRV Please pm me if you are interested, and as for a price, i have NFI. id at the very least like to recoup my original purchase costs, if thats possible Cheers, allan

Codes For The Active Lsd Computer
33GTRV replied to guru_ray's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
OK, the nissan Active-LSD. basically, these things are a supermodel, they perform fkn fantastic when looked after and groomed, but play up like a smart arse high school girl when u neglect them. FROM MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, use only the genuine nissan A-LSD oil and bleed the system every 2nd service. This prevents the dreaded single spinning and tightens up the whole system. Replace the oil every 25,000km. The fault code 75 you have is the tps code, its common. You might also notice a few idle differences, ie jumpy/low/high idle. there are 2 ways to fix this. 1 is to adjust the tps to the correct voltage point, this must be done whils the car is connected to a consult system, which ALL nissan dealerships have, or, replace the tps and adjust the voltage blah blah blah. The 1st is a temp fix, as the tps will be on the way out, UNLESS it had loose bolts and it has slipped. Dont go crying foul on the A-lsd just yet, yes they require more maintenance, but when said maintenance is kept up to it, they are a truly amazing differential. Cheers, al -
Bbs , Rs-gt 18x9.5 +20 With Near New Tyres
33GTRV replied to gtraaron's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi, is this offset suitable for a 33 gtr? if its 100% legit to suit a gtr please pm me so we can chat further Cheers, Allan -
Hi. I had a similar problem in my gtr whilst getting it tuned. There is a fuel pump speed controller in some models of the 33, to bypass it, run a ground/negative wire from the pump directly to the chassis/battery. remember, ONLY do the negative as this is what controls the pump speed. Its a 5 min excercise and if it is the fix you were after, then choice. If its not, then hey, 5 mins and 40cm of wire is bugger all right? Cheers, Allan

Well, got the car back, had mega dramas with said tuners, now the gearbox i have purchased from PAR is not holding 2nd gear. On light acceleration or on/off throttle eg. roundabout navigation the shifter rocks forward and backwards and "pops" out of 2nd gear, and ONLY 2nd gear. I have tried to contact gerrard but holidays mean exactly that. So, my question is, is there an external point to acces the ball and detent on the gtr33 gearbox and has anyone else experienced this issue with the PAR gearset. PLEASE NOTE: This is by no means a shit slinging match, if you have nothing constructive to say, please keep the comment to yourself. I am in no way trying to talk down this product, simply looking for information and experiences. Thanks Al

well, i had to go in and show them myself this morning. Got the car back this afternoon, cams are still not dialed in. made 360whp@18psi. was told that to dial the cams would be approx 6-7hrs, and thats on top of the 1971bux they have just charged me I think that now the car is in a driveble state and the AFR's are fine i will be paying Godzilla a visit. The power curve is a shallow straight line so its not exactly responsive by any means sadfase

thats just it bunta, the tuners havnt described anything. I have to hassle them to get updates on the car and the updates i do get are fuzzy to say the least. Im not an average joe, i have a pretty extensive amount of knowledge on cars and everything ive been told ive already suggested. They dont want to take any advice/tips/hints or anything, i think its a "were fine, we will work it out ourselves, we dont need any help" thing. I guess im just like an expectant father, very nervous to say the least. Im just really worried they might do more damage than good, these cars are not cheap to work on or fix Heres to hoping i guess

Hi. The fuel pump is using the standard wiring as it was a drop in nismo item. And no, im not using a rising rate. there is no need for the power goal im after. 400awhp. I was advised to try and hardwire the pump and also to ground the pump directly to the chassis as there was a FPSC on the strut tower in the boot. Something about it regulates the voltage by resistance through the earth. Its worrying me because these guys have little to no experience in GTR's and its racking me up a massive bill. In the vicinity of 2k for a tune and to fault find the problem with the pump!! They are trying to tell me that the vi-pec software is hard to use, similar to the VCM suite VE software and it takes more time?? I mentioned the autotune functions to speed up the tuners time and was basically ignored. Getting me pretty worried

Hi guys. In an attempted leadup to the possibility of me coming down on the weekend i have encountered an electrical issue, or a pump malfunction when i was getting my car dyno tuned. It seems the pump is dropping off in pressure greatly, it was said to be a gtr nismo upgrade pump. What im wondering is wheather there is a fuel pump speed controller and is it by-passable, is it worth rewiring the pump and peoples experiences with similar issues. The tuner is new to the GTR so im a little worried. Please dont grill me for posting here first, i thought id ask the locals before throwing it out to the world.
