  1. Shielded the spark loom and changed to a different plug. Seems to have fixed the issue of ecu disconnect but we now have a slight missfire at 6000 rpm that sounds subtle. Car is officially giving me the poos.
  2. Got spark issues? Buy a set of D585 truck coils and plugs. Wire them up. Hard pressed to kill those bastards
  3. Legendary mate. Simon seems to think it is interference as its full load and near peak torque of the current state. He suggested a different plug and maybe shielding the ecu loom if possible.
  4. Currently getting the datsun tuned with a vipec plug in and am having a strange issue wit the computer disconnecting at 5500rpm and full throttle. Any thoughts from the brains trust? Setup is rb28, 272 9.85 camshafts, 2200cc bosch injectors, plugin Vi-pec, 6466 turbo.
  5. Any finish on Crete is fine for a hobby shed. Just let it cure and epoxy it. I did and ill never look back. Went from polished Crete s an oil repellant and I cad add non slip and have it pink if I want!

  13. It's a custom piston from a blank. It totally depends on spec. It's like asking what it's gonna cost to get to the moon. Too many variables mang.
  14. Sps. I have personally built, owned, tuned and raced one of the biggest hp ea81t Subaru motors in the world and spa was my piston manufacturer. 480+ without gas and it never shat a piston. You can order whatever you like. Ring thickness, pin size, comp height, comp, reliefs, you name it they can do it.

  20. Put it on the dyno yesterday arvo. Started run in at 28 pound. Found a lazy coil, sacked him and got a harder working one now. Stuck at work and can't upload pics from my mansung cause they exceed the size limit.
  21. That piston is round. And shiny. And new looking. Therefore I conclude it is a shiny round new piston of some sort.
  22. A rwc in qld for an imported car entailes a small bottle of lubricant, a thick rubber glove, approx 2kg of uniodised rock salt and the tears of a thousand baby fur seals.
