  1. Haha, clearly a riverting topic!
  2. Hey guys, after having a nice convo with the local accountant who owns a Maserati Quattro i was pondering which high end cars are feesable to own? He just had a 20,000km service and <gulp> it set him back around $10k! True if you cant afford to run these cars you shouldnt buy them, but i remember reading that something like a Cayman S for eg or an M3 are alot more affordable!
  3. loz-tuned, those wheels look f**king tuff! Id take your car over a bmw coupe etc ANY day of the week
  4. Jeebus thats expensive! I was hoping $260ish as ive heard others have got them for
  5. What price per corner bro?
  6. Disagree with that one, buy yourself a set of NGK Iridiums and they wont need changing for a good 50,000kms or so. Best hungey or so you could spend
  7. As above, Kumho KU31: http://kumhotyres.businesscatalyst.com/pcrku31.htm or if you have bit more coin the KU33: http://kumhotyres.businesscatalyst.com/pcrku33.htm
  8. I know few people that did have a few problems with things fowling up etc Id go with an Apexi Power Intake (panel type), its the dry paper one and you will have no dramas what so ever. Shoot one of the vendors a pm and get some prices, i suggest Aaron from Import Monster.
  9. Put my new bulbs in yesterday and they are fantastic...wow what a difference! Not the handiest of people but i can hold my own, took little over an hour to do using the wheel and wheel guard removal technique. Hardest part was not having much room to manouvere.
  10. Sorry for your loss mate, hope it turns up soon. Thats freaked me out though...just goes to show even with 4 POINT immobilization, if a crim knows what they are doing they will get your car!
  11. http://www.j-spec.com.au/auction/2004-Niss...GT-4774528.html Usual mosey through the auctions for interest sake, came across this gem until i saw inside...wtf is tantric?!
  12. Close friend is a detailer, lost count of how many "corrections" hes been doing to paint jobs care of these products. This ranges from the cheap products right up to the more expensive type like dri wash n guard. Best thing to do is your good old fashioned wash, use good quality microfiber mitt to wash and good quality chamois to dry.

  14. http://www.seafoamsales.com/motor-treatment.html As above, ive heard mention of this product before in a couple of threads but no one seems to know if its available locally. Anybody come across it in their travels? Would like to get some to run in my brothers commodore, both for injector cleaner and also as to unstick some noisy lifters etc
  15. Also wondering if one of the moderators could post a sticky for fluids to use, how many litres etc for those interested in doing their own servicing or experienced in doing so? Engine Oil Fully Synthetic 10W40, 4-5 Litres Manual Transmission Oil Fully Synthetic 75W85 (GL-4), ?Litres Differential Oil Fully Synthetic 75W90 (GL-5), ? Litres etc etc
  16. Just for precautionary sake, when taking delivery of an import everyone says to do a "fluids service"...can anyone specify exactly what fluids? I know engine oil goes without saying, as does trans, diff and coolant. Is that all most people do or do they take it the step further and go brakes etc? Thanks.
  17. My dad bought a Bosch from Bunnings when they had a sale, cant remember model number etc by i remember googling it and it rated highly.
  18. http://www.j-spec.com.au/auction Currently best site ever by far!
  19. More then likely as stated few times, injectors or lifters. If its freaking you out, get it checked by a reputable mechanic but as far as i know its totally normal. My bosses S5 is crazy loud, hes had it since new, babys it around and its only done 10,000kms. Audi has done all the tests and has forked out for various workshops to check it and put his mind at ease.
  20. Well i did skim the question its true lol, BUT the first part says "what are peoples experiences" as if to say your thinking of trying it.
  21. As long as it has 30gm protein or so per scoop, nil to 1g carb and fat then theres no reason why it wouldnt be any good.
  22. Now regardless if your a Nulon fan or not, this is a good guide to use: http://www.datateck.com.au/lube/NulonAus/default.asp Just specify car, nissan, then i went for 350z and it lists in categories ie motor, trans etc which oil you should use.
  23. Haha thats a great analogy, thanks mate! Just ordered a pair of philips x-treme power, so no night driving for a week or so and then the FUN task of changing globes without front bumper removal
  24. Hey guys, i have driven my V at most total 30mins night driving since i took delivery 2mths ago and already globe is gone! Do i brace myself at facing an electrical type problem? Or could it be simply cheap and nasty bulb used for compliance?
  25. Oh wow, i assumed blank key could get cut to suit whatever. Learnt something new lol thanks mate.
