  1. If you are able to go down the import route, there appears to be a beauty going up for auction: http://www.j-spec.com.au/auction/2000-NISSAN-SKYLINE-1018147.html
  2. I wouldn't bother, it sounds like a massive headache waiting to happen!
  3. I got full Japanese service history etc with mine, i wouldnt expect it for 33's and earlier cos they are a little dated now but for V35 upwards or collector 34 GTR's etc i probably wouldnt purchase one without.
  4. Agreed, but can be quite hard if you don't have the funds and are requiring a loan to purchase. Some institutions will give you an unsecured personal loan till the car is road registered (so they can take security) and you can refinance but you'll have to hunt around.
  5. The GFC was a freak thing, yes it was expected cos of the way the business cycle works but WOW to fall the way it did basically over night was ridiculous! From your profile your 52yo, you may not be able to fully recover what was lost as well as add returns but if you implement beneficial strategies such as salary sacrifice (if appropriate), look at moving your super into a pension at 55 as part of a Transition To Retirement etc etc you'd be pleasantly surprised how much ground you can make up.
  6. Investment properties have been done to death, as has property development. Our parents and grandparents are the ones who have reaped the rewards, sadly i doubt we'll even come close. You're better off starting a regular savings plan whereby you direct debit whatever you can afford on a monthly basis into some high quality shares. My personal favourites at the moment are: ING Wholesale Global Property Securities Fund Perpetual Wholesale Geared Australian Fund Perpetual Wholesale Industrial Fund Platinum Asia Fund Platinum International Fund Zurich Wholesale Global Thematic Share Fund AMP Capital Core Property Fund AUSBIL Australian Emerging Leaders Fund Schroder Wholesale Australian Equity Fund Go see a broker or an adviser and watch this baby grow and be adjusted for long term returns averaging 9-10%pa if not more.
  7. BAHAHA true that!
  8. Depends though, some people like me use the mirror so i can concentrate on my form. On occassion my elbows start to kink out if im going heavey and as i see it in the mirror i rectify and make sure the rest of my reps are perfect.
  9. Where is everyone buying their supplements from, ebay etc? I found that GNC from the US offer great value especially with their gold card discounts. I bought a 10lbs bag of Optimum Gold Whey for $115 delivered and cheapest ive found here is $150.
  10. Im trying to cut at the moment, limitting myself to 1,800 calories with 50/30/20 split of protein/carbs/fat (see attachment). I spent about an hour putting together my menu and i still managed to come under! is 80 calories going to make that much of a difference? I opted for the food approach of getting nutrients as opposed to too many supplements. Diet Plan.doc
  11. Kahli is hot, big up to any other adelaide-ian fems driving round in nice liners
  12. Thats episode 1 of the simpsons, old school shit!
  13. It'll get through without the sneaky covers lol any ebay seller from HK or UK will send it for $60 delivered ALL consoles
  14. Everything if you're with someone like JustCars, they cover it all as long as you disclose so you'd be a real arse hat not too.
  15. Id go manual, i know its a luxo sport car as opposed to straight out sport but you wont regret being in full control of those gear changes. Ive heard the S's interior wears better and is less maintenance as its a combo of leather/suede rather then full leather.
  16. I checked with the company before i purchased, our frequencies are on par unlike the Japanese ones. Thats why i took the plunge
  17. Im currently awaiting one of these to arrive: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_24672_Pioneer_AVH-P3200BT.aspx Ticks all your boxes bar nav, as you said thats alot more costly exercise. All up was a touch under $400 delivered.
  18. I can confirm the Kakimoto Regu is quiet as, too quiet for some. So if you'd like a touch more of a note go the HKS Hi Power Silent.
  19. Yea im <cough> 28, no claims, fines etc so clear driving history. Thanks mate, i hope everything goes painless and people dont question my manhood cruising round in a Swift for a week or so lol
  20. Excess is only $400 from JustCars, i gotta say i highly recommend them. Loads of people ummed and erred at the very mention of their name, but they were great thus far and even asked me which my preferred repairer was as opposed to we want you to take it to <blah>.
  21. Its a full blown crash repairer, Eblen Subaru. Basically the cost involves brand new door from Nissan, spray the whole side of the car and removing/fitting everything including rear windscreen. The guy said it will be a factory type arrangement, no bodgey jobs cos its practically a new car.
  22. Got everything assessed today, just a touch shy of $3k and 3 pages full of things to be done! Here are some pics, shes tainted
  23. In case anyone missed it this morning: http://www.j-spec.com.au/news/Skyline-Crossover-compliance-now-available Wooooo
