i have same problem dont drive it around untill you change your catalytic converter, if you want to drive it around take it off and hollow it out or else if you drive it and boot it you will put strien on your engine as i was doing untill i hollowed mien out and when i check it it was completely blocked so i had to take the honeycomb stuff out of it untill i bought my new one which came in today and installed in satourday hopefully it all goes well, hope this solves yours but defiantly sounds same problem as mine, when driving it struggles when accelerating and some smoke comes out when booting. you notice loss of power too. if it is the cat i bought a bolt on high flow 3" from justjap its called catco. so check your catalytic converter.

make sure that the coolant that came out is overflow, because my resorvoir is never that full if any and my temp is always half way at the right temp. and there is water in my radiator. just to double check you might be spending money for nothin. unless temp is too high once its hot then its pump.

ok i did a engine flush and oil change and instead of putting motoul turbo light 10w40 im going thicker as maybe thiner burning out too quickly dunno and goin 10w50 thicker oil and fully synthectic, thin when cold thicker when hot, see what happen in few month oil pressure back to normal, oh had no oil maybe thinking oil burnt out because of blocked cat befor. pump is ok switch is ok, edit woops sorry to post in here again lolz

because my engine has done 230 000 ks do i need to use a thicker oil because thinner oil now burns quickly. i use the 15w40, maybe i should use a 20w50 or 60???

Engine/Car: R33 GTST S2 RB25 det Type of failure: Low oil pressure, oil light is on. Factors influencing the failure: oil pump, oil pressure switch.(the light only comes on at idle, and the pressure is bellow the half way mark just quarter of the way up.) State of tune of the engine: Saf fc 2, tuned at 10psi does 210rwkw Suspension and tyres: 19" rim, HKS coilovers Oil used and service interval: only used Motoul Turbo light and serviced every 5000 km General comments: the light only comes on when car is on idle and my catalyic converter is hollowed and got a hole dont know if it plays a part but getting new one in few days. gonna buy oil and top it up tmz just incase its hasnt got enough. but want to know what could cause this light to come on, could it mean i need new oil pump, or oil pressure switch and if this is common problem need help with this thanks guys. 011 - 11:15 AM

hi did u ever fix ur problem, i got similar problem but my light comes on only on idle and the pressure gauge reads low,

i rkn it mostly comes down to looks and fuel ecconomy and where ether a P plater can drive it or not.

i got sunroof will they do that for that price

back to this topic again please, i have no leaks and oil is at right lvl, but can this also mean like some thing else needs to be change like nrake fluid or brake pads or clutch fluid also. my old car this flashed when i had to change brake pads. also recently my catalytic converter had to be hollowed out because it was blocked and now i am waiting for replacement, can that cause light to come on for few secs.also? and it only flashes. need to know if it means other stuff.

dood how far into the cabin it goes into as i need to disconnect from the connecter so i can install my exhaust as it is being an ass and wont unscrew so i want to disconnect from other end so i can put cat on bench and unscrew it off, if you can provide picture be gratefull thanks for in advance.

Here is a picture of the coil packs still in new condition and in packaging i only bought these last week and found out my car was a series 1.5 which has S2 engine, i can show my receipt to prove i recently bought these. i will post them out for $360....
