hello all, just purchased my 2nd skyline and will post some pics soon. it has a whining noise in the box, which i have been informed is a common problem but probably not a massive convern. it still changes gears well, although it needs a new throw out bearing. what im wondering, because it has an RB30 bottom end would it be a skyline box or vl turbo box, is there any difference if so how can you tell. and is there any truth in the fact that running ATF in a manual gearbox is better than normal gearbox oil as i have been told.

Na, most of the work was done when i bought the car. Dont get me wrong, I love the car, and I would prefer to keep it. But due to work commintments I havent had the time to drive it much lately. Also at the moment it would be more practical for me to buy a ute for work, and I also want another bike. The skyline unfortunately isnt much good as a work vehicle or to shift around a dirtbike.

Yeah ill try to get some pics up soon. Has just over 100000kms, has a shaved nissan patrol clutch, the diff is from a GTR, and im not sure if the box is standard or not. The box is supposed to be from a GTR, but its only a 5 speed, were any GTR boxes 5 geared or are they all 6's.

Interior is pretty hard to fault apart from a tear in the back pocket of passenger seat. Paint is also in good condition.

1 wheel has rubbed the gutter, thats all. just has to be smoothed i guess and polished. there chrome wheels so im having trouble getting people to touch them. do you have chris's number or his work number for me, that would be good.

Already tryed Depulu but they couldnt do anything they reckon, i might try wilsons though.

Any one know where i can get chrome wheels repaired. I live in toowoomba but i am regularly in brisbane and will be heading to the gold coast this week for 5 days. i really need to get this wheel repaired.

Does anyone in qld, preferably the gold coast to brisbane region know anyone who can repair chrome wheels with scratches on them.

Mate, that sucks. They only do it cause their jealous. If I caught up to anyone that did that to my car or anyone elses, id drag a set of keys back and forth across their face, until i got bored.

nah, when i sell the car the plates will go with it if i get some. i dont want to buy prestige plates, could spend that much doosh on other things. ill just keep an eye out for some i like.
