  1. What turbo did you put on. That's the million dollar question. Don't run an aftermarket turbo on the stock setup so yes injectors, fuel pump and ECU are a must at the minimum. Engines don't just explode. Detonation is what kills engines which all comes down to the tune. Having a large turbo on a car on a stock setup is a lot more dangerous than running a bigger turbo with all supporting mods keeping it all running right. By the sounds of things i'm assuming it was just a slightly larger turbo upgrade, possibly highflow? Regarding your injector choice you may have gone a bit overkill, but once again, comes down to what turbo you put on there. Need more information man. You need to start reading the Forced Induction section to get a better understanding of it all. EDIT: Don't worry I just found your other thread, i'll read that and reply in there.
  2. Tsk tsk repost http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ch...tl-t327001.html
  3. Yeah i'm very bloody pleased with the product. Being so small and light makes it so much easier to use. Can't believe they gave you guys some free ones, bastards lol.
  4. Hmmm interesting, never thought of that. How much did it cost you to get the ABS rebuilt with new seals?
  5. My god that sucks to hear! So lucky they didn't take the car. Assuming the keys weren't laying around anywhere? Most common way to steal a car, break into the house and take the keys.
  6. Mines constantly connected to one of these now after hearing great things from every one that has used one. And for $70-$100 its a bargain. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tr...tml&hl=ctek
  7. Yep they are a decent thing. Have been meaning to get one for a while. On a Supra I think they are a must, their bloody firewall flexes twice as much as what a Skyline does when you stamp on the brakes.
  8. Hahaha fair enough. I didn't know you could get them in different size. No idea what my mates one was in that case. But yeah either way go for a bigger one.
  9. Lol 30-32 depending on the jeans. This is when it was fitted in my car for a while because my mates car was off the road so he let me borrow it. Don't get me wrong it transforms the way you drive, you are so snug in it you feel every little thing the car does. It's just bloody tight and made for a small frame.
  10. Hahaha some one was pissed off at the owner of the other car.
  11. Depends on whether you are a big guy or not, the Sparco will fit a larger frame where as the Zeta III is pretty damn tight. I'm a fairly slim guy and even I found the Zeta III to be borderline to tight. Best bet would be to try and have a sit in both and see for yourself what you think.
  12. Yeah don't look at the date this started lol. My ETA assumptions at the beginning were WAY off.
  13. I'd love to swap rears with you, I like your offset better
  14. I got a bunch of new alarms and remote starts sitting on my shelf doing nothing (left over stock from mates old business). You can have one for cheap. Shoot me a PM if you're interested and i'll send you some info.
  15. Lol poor kid.
  16. I run the AAC/IAC on my Plazmaman plenum. Tried running it without it for a while but it was a pain in the ass to get to cold start and idle properly. As for the idle adjustment screw, it is on the stock throttle body aswell. It simply holds the butterfly slightly more open. Personally I would piss off all that crap that has come with it and just put your AAC/IAC back on.
  17. Yeah I love the 3 for 1 lol
  18. A Skyline always feels slower from driving than a Silvia though due to the power delivery.
  19. Just double check over all the standard emission lines coming from the cam covers and make sure the one way check valve or something isn't blocked causing it to pressurise the crankcase. Probably a long shot but the dipstick blowing out is a bit strange with the standard emissions gear. Only time a dipstick should blow out is if your crankcase can't breath through the cam covers so it finds the path of least resistance, the dip stick. That or your engine has actually cracked the ringlands. So yep, compression test time I would say.
  20. I think it's just the way the exhaust manifold sits the turbo, makes it look a bit sunken.
  21. Best bet do a compression test first to suss that out. How much blow by are we talking? Like filling a catch can up?
  22. So you are referring to a legislation from 1989 that does not mention a particular type of light that did not exist at the time and a website that is simply saying that as a technicallity since there is no mention of HID's being approved therefore reading the law to a T, it must mean they are not approved. There is also no mention of LED headlights, therefore they must be illegal according to the law to a T. Fact is they are not illegal, the context of the law simply is not updated and therefore if you are reading it to a T it classifies anything not mentioned to be not approved, which we all know is not the case since modern lights are approved and have come a long way since 1989. I could probably put money on that if you find a legislation for tail lights there will be no mention of LED lighting, therefore LED tail lights would be illegal under the same technicallity. You are simply hanging on a small technicallity which is obviously looked over since it is outdated. Therefore please stop telling people the wrong type of information without telling the whole story. Now back to foglights.
  23. I used to like Autosalon, they would sometimes have some really decent cars in there. Obviously a lot of riced up shitboxes aswell. Was kind of sad to see that they stopped production
  24. I read the entire thing, what on earth are you on about? If a car has factory HID's that have approval they are legal - FACT If a car has retrofitted factory HID headlights that have approval into their car that did not come with HID's they are legal - FACT If a car has fitted HID's into their cars' headlights that are made for halogen bulbs, it is illegal - FACT Pretty much the same law every where in the world. God I can't believe im getting into another HID argument. Are you seriously going to deny those three statements even though those three statements are backed up by the link that you supplied? So you are trying to say that every single new Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Landrover and the dozens of other car manufacturers that use HID's in nearly all their newest cars all have illegal headlights in Britain and can get done for them? Because that is what it appears like you are saying.
