They all have their strengths and they all have their weaknesses, end of story
-
Thanks for all the kind words guys, helps a lot We will get them in the end so all is still good. Originally I thought the guy I was dealing with worked for Hel (I found his details through a motorbike forum that had good experiences with him), then I thought he might have his own shop but all he deals with is Hel lines and when I rang head office they knew him by first name and knew straight away about the order so he must work for them, but maybe privately on the side or something? I dunno. Either way Hel head office know all about this so everything is good and I don't have to worry about it any more, just have to wait a bit longer unfortunately.

Dynamat Alternative. What's Out There...
PM-R33 replied to KrazyKong's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
We used to do a lot of decent audio installs in my earlier years when I used to work at Autobarn. As others have said, there are a tonne of brands, nearly every major audio accessory manufacturer makes their own form of sound deadener. Pretty much what Sapphiregraphics listed. The main two we used to use was Focal Plain Chant for smaller installs or the Dynamat. Both were expensive but you get what you pay for. Honestly from every one that I used to talk to that was into car audio (personally I wasn't that much) nothing came close to Dynamat. Just get the smaller kit (ebay pricing isn't that bad) or go halves with some one in the bigger kit depending on what you want to do with it. -

Do R33 Gts-ts (series 2) Come With Immobalisors?
PM-R33 replied to TUF250's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
An immobiliser aint to dificult to install. You just have to dislocate your neck to get to all the wiring under the dash lol. But in all seriousness if you know basic wiring/soldering it aint hard. -

I Need Advice On Modifying An R34 Gtt
PM-R33 replied to hmd993's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
The only visual difference between aftermarket injectors and stock injectors is the end of them usually being a colour. However once they are installed you can barely notice it. Anyway if you are that worried about some one noticing them, just paint the ends of them black. -
When these get here i'll decide whether to do another one or not. At the moment my anger is clouding my judgement lol.
-
Well when they get hear i'll let you know and just tell me what address you want them sent to. I have been pissed off about this for the last few days thinking about how on earth im going to get $3k together to pay every one back if this guy had actually ripped me off lol.

UPDATE: Have been emailing and leaving messages with the guy I have been dealing with regarding this group buy and have still not received a reply. No f**king idea what is going on with this guy but I aint happy about it. Anyway I gave up trying to get through to him so just rang the head office phone number and explained to them what the go is and luckily the guy I spoke to knew all about it. Turns out the lines have not been sent due to them running out of the ADR sleeves. All the certificates are done and the lines are ready, just half of them still don't have the stupid ADR sleeves. It still might be another week or two before they will be at my door. Why the guy I have been dealing with couldn't just tell me that and instead choose to not reply to me and make me f**king freak out thinking I'd been ripped off $3000 is beyond me. I really do apologise about this and I understand if there is any anger. I will offer refunds to people if they wish to have their money back and all I can say is i'm sorry. If I knew this would have happened I wouldn't have bothered. Honestly I don't think I will do another group buy as this has turned into a f**king nightmare. Once again very sorry guys and I hope you can understand this is unfortunately out of my hands and im doing my best to keep it together.

I was thinking I might, i'll see how im feeling later.

I might hold you to that man! I rang them and just got their answering machine so I left a message. I'll see what happens next.

Righteo guys, still nothing and I aint happy. I'm calling England tonight to see where the f**k these brake lines are. 2-3 days delivery my ass. Havn't had a reply from them for over a week now even though I have sent three emails asking for the tracking number. I'll let you guys know what they say.

My R33 Spec 2 With Projector Headligts

Yeah I also think it would look more aggressive with both the high beam and low beam done. -
I don't think any of us are really debating whether some one would pay heaps of money for the GTHO, as they obviously will. As said above, the value of these cars isn't what they are "worth" it is what some one is willing to pay for them since they are rare and can't simply be bought when you decide to buy one. As a personal opinion I was just stating that the cars don't look anything special (personally I think they are fairly ugly) compared to some of the other classic big dollar cars of that era and the fact that this car is so expensive and rare it is more or less something that sits in the shed, but hey some people like that sort of thing and I aint judging any one for it, we all love different things.
-
Your preaching to the wrong person. I am well aware of what the car is as I have a true interest in all types of cars and enjoy learning about them therefore I know exactly why this car is "special" so don't give me your attitude. We are also not talking about a Skyline here nor are we talking about my Skyline or why I bought it as it is completely irrelevant to this topic and you are just trying to push forward a personal response out of me. Also as to you putting one of my statements in bold, I will expand on what I ment as you obviously didn't get it. If you did not know about the racing heritage, or what the car is (pretend you were from Europe or USA) and put them in the same category of cars I posted up (or others, it really isn't relevant what particular cars), would you pick the GTHO to be something special. No you wouldn't. That is all I ment.
-
Nothing guys. The lack of communication now is becoming irritating. Still no tracking number has been sent to me so I don't know how far off the kits actually are. I'm going to email them again now so please bare with me. Once again sorry for this delay guys, but we shall get there in the end.
