+1 I'd be keen to know rough prices for future reference.

Are you talking about the little vacuum line going into a small nipple on the throttle body? If so i'm pretty sure (going off memory here) that vaccum line goes into a hard line underneath the factory cross over pipe which then connets to the carbon canister. Since my setup is completely different from factory mine is just plugged up as it wasn't needed...

There is coolant that goes through the runners next to the injectors which is there for fuel atomisation. The coolant in the throttle body has nothing to do with that. It is simply there to prevent the throttle body butterfly from freezing/sticking shut in cold climates. You will find a hell of a lot of cars have this (including Commodores). If you know you won't be going into freezing temperatures bypass it. Simple.

Nearly the same thing happened when I got done. Picking up the missus at 2am from town and sitting idling outside the club when they pulled in behind me and starting going through my whole car looking for drugs and questioning how I paid for all the modifications. Lied and told them i had only put about $10,000 into it over the years and they looked at me like I had just said a million dollars. Good thing I didn't tell them the truth, would have probably done a strip search on me lol.

They don't need a warrant. They can search it under suspicion, had it happen to me once.

Maybe i'm in select group of of people and you guys might disagree, but a lot of those old vintage million dollar cars that are so expensive and rare that you don't dare show them the light of day just don't appeal that much to me. I mean I love cars because I love working on them, I love driving them and I love having things to do with them (obviously there is a limit to doing these things but you know what I mean). To me they are fun and are literally part of my life. Without this obsession with cars I would be a completely different person and my life choices would be completely different. To me owning a car worth a million dollars that I keep the way it is from factory and never drive it to keep 600km on the dash and keep it locked away in a plastic bubble just aint me. Fair enough it might be worth double the money in 10 years time but so what? I would rather have 10 cars worth $100,000 that I can modify, drive, thrash and enjoy. I think this is what brings me back to my original point about the GTHO just doing nothing for me. Yep its a valuable car and I understand that, but it is so valuable that I couldn't have fun in it (not my cup of tea of a car anyway but that aint the point im making). I would much rather a F430 or a Murcielago for the money (giving these cars as an example due to the $500,000 value). Yep they won't have the same value one day, yep they don't have the history something like the GTHO does, yep it won't get me approved by the die hard Ford/Vintage car owners, but would I care? Not one bit. Because I could be sitting on limiter in every gear hanging the tail out sideways of the Fezz or Lambo and getting thrown in jail for doing 300km/h down the back of a side street while the GTHO sat in my garage in a plastic igloo and a 2" thick steel wall surrounding it.

Take the intake pipes off the turbo and check inside the compressor housing for any signs of damage. Hard to say without hearing the noise, but a high pitched screech usually is when the compressor wheel scrapes against the housing ie. shagged turbo.

Ahh the classic GTHO Falcon debate. Always gaurantees a good discussion. I love a lot of old muscle cars. Their "rarity" to me isn't that important. While I can appreciate it, does it make the car better in any way? Not really. Think of it this way, if only 20 1982 Commodores were made, would that make them be an awesome car? No. Would that make them worth a lot of money one day? Possibly. So their rarity is merely a dollar value that people give to own a car they can't normally own. My point is for me to pay a lot of money for such an old car, it would have to be a great old car. To me the GTHO just looks like a normal old model Falcon sedan and if I didn't know their history and racing heritage, I probably wouldn't think it to be anything special. However when I look at say a 1967 Mustang I think "Wow, very nice sexy car". Or a 1967 Pontiac GTO Or a 1962 Maserati 3500 Or a 1967 Ford GT40 Or a 1967 Shelby Cobra Anyway I could list cars all day that are old/vintage "special" racing heritage sports cars that are worth a lot of money and are bloody gorgeous in their own way. The point im trying to make is I believe the number of GTHO's available and the fact they have a strong racing heritage is more or less the reason they are looked at as such a special car, not the actual car itself if you get what I mean. A bit off topic aswell. One thing that really bugs me about the GTHO is how some die-hard Ford fans use it as an example to prove how great their car manufacturer is even though they may own a EA/AU/BA etc and have nothing themselves to do with the GTHO. For example they may put down another vehicle manufacturer by saying "Well the Ford GTHO is one of the most expensive cars in Australia, I don't see any *insert car manufacturer here* cars getting sold for that much". Any one else found something similar to this? Maybe it's just because this town is full of rednecks and I used to work in an automotive store, I dunno lol. My 2c anyway.

You could probably capture the black smoke that comes out of my car on boost and use it to run another car
