Gizzmo Shift Light With Launch Interface
PM-R33 replied to skylinekid's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Old man has one (not the launch interface though) in the Monaro. They are a great shift light and one of my favourite ones, used to sell heaps at Autobarn. Very sleak compared to the huge Autometer ones. Much easier to mount somewhere nicely without looking to tacky. If I were to ever get a shift light it would definetely be a Gizzmo one, probably the new tiny carbon ones. -
I'm really enjoying the weight reduction progress list aswell, good info there

As long as the supplier doesn't have a problem with it I can do another one straight after this one ends; once every one in this group buy receives their kits and is happy with them. So at a guess the next group buy could be in about 2-3 weeks possibly. The main thing I want to ensure is everything goes smoothly, there aren't any problems and people are happy with the kits. So as long as all that falls into place, i'll do another one straight away for the clutch lines and brake lines.

Umm supraforums perhaps....

Skyline R33 Gts-t Hks Gt2835 Pro S Vs Sti

I call bullshit -
Lol its going to be another 30 kits in the next bloody group buy looks like it. As an update guys, they have received our money transfer and the kits will be sent out to me some time next week once all the kits have been made up. I have purchased all the express post envelopes so as soon as they are sent to me i'll send them out. Cheers

No because it will be a vacuum leak since from factory one side goes to the plenum the other into that intake pipe (not to mention if you just left it open oil could drip out onto the exhaust manifold and start a fire). So either block the right side off or get a catch can or plumb it into your new pipe.

It's called search, use it: Dose pipe: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/se...te=%2Bdose+pipe Hektik flutter: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/se...Bhektik+flutter VL uleh: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/se...lite=%2Bvl+uleh Sick flutter: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/se...%2Bsick+flutter Seriously, it aint hard. Justy type in an adjective describing what you want "sick, hektik, fully, awesome, mad" and then an adjective describing the noise "flutter, dose, pidgeon, zututu" and you will find a billion threads. *Sigh*

Yep, a bike is a bike, a 2 stroke dirt bike is exactly the same to ride as a 1300 Hayabusa. You gotta be f**king kidding me. And not sure what you mean about all of us keyboard bashing and needing to get out there and give it a go considering nearly every one posting in this thread rides bikes
-
Haha nice!

I had never riden a road bike before (only dirtbikes and that was a while ago). I bought my 250 bike, got it dropped off to me at home, jumped on it and learnt riding it around my block. Couple of weeks later went to the full day Q-RIDE course (not sure what you guys have in Victoria, probably something similar) where they teach you everything, passed it and got my license.
-
True that. You spin out a car while learning, no biggie. You get into a slide on a bike while learning, your dead.
-
Dude, so your saying some one that has never riden a road bike should just jump on a big bike straight away? That's like telling a P plater here's a 600HP skyline. I had an older model GSXR600 offered to me cheap for my first bike and ended up not getting it. I can tell you right now if i had purchased that bike as my first bike i would have crashed it, no doubt.
-
Fair enough, however not every one wants the quickest bike with the best low down power to accelerate the quickest. My 250cc has no problem keeping up with traffic and off the lights is just as quick as any normal 4cyl. I want a 600 because i want something that doesn't struggle at 100km/h, can overtake safely since it has enough power (overtaking on my 250 just doesnt happen), is more stable than the 250 and has more poke to have a bit of fun in. You have 15 years experience on bikes you said, therefore a 1000 is probably great for your experience. For my low experience in comparison, a 600 will be just fine to keep my happy and excited. Hell if I want a 1000 one day I might upgrade to one, but for now the 600 will do. Also by your motorbike theory you should be driving a 6L SS commodore and not a Skyline
-
All good man. The way i see those bikes is there a "step up" bike. You own them for a little while and then step up to the bike that you want to buy once you have an unrestricted license. They are cheap and good to learn on so for that purpose are very popular.
-
Fair enough i might do that but considering i've been riding a 250 for quite some time now, both a 600 and 1000 is going to seem like a whole new world to me. So while the 1000 might in your opinion be that much better than a 600, it wouldn't feel that much better to me since i've been riding a 250. If you know what i mean, kind of hard to explain. Honestly i love the looks of the black 09 R6's and it is within my price range. Good mate of mine that I go riding with has an 08 red/white R6 with a full titanium exhaust, power commander, intake etc and the thing flys and sounds gorgeous. It would be more than enough for what I want to use the bike for riding around town.
-
I have a Hyosung 250R and i love it for a first road bike. I wanted a bigger frame bike as most bikes I sat on were far to small for me. Bang for buck they are great. Picked mine up dirt cheap, had 6000km on it, was black and looked like a nice modern bike. Havn't had one problem with it since owning it. While the Ninja 250R is a nice bike, i couldn't justify the price tag on one when i knew within a year i would be selling it any way.
-
The people in question are fairly older guys who have owned quite a few bikes including 250's and 600's as they have gone the typical route most people do 250-600-1000 so their opinion to me ment quite a bit. With the quarter times, like i said, they were "qouted times". Hell i've seen a Busa struggle to crack an 11 purely from an inexperienced rider so it does come down to the rider obviously. I'll be happy with a 600 around town

Read this thread as I'm not going to retype what I said http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/No...ts-t312376.html 1. If you are serious about nitrous, speak to people that have experience with it as most people on here have no clue other than what Fast and Furious showed. 2. Yes it is dangerous to have a high pressure bottle (roughly 1000psi) in your car. No nitrous doesn't "burn" but yes a nitrous bottle can explode when exposed to high heat causing the pressure inside the bottle to skyrocket in a small amount of time. For your situation even though, even though I know you said you don't want to sell it, is to just buy a GTST.

I have been told by Plazmaman that they can be "made to fit" without hitting the bonnet with a 30 bottom end. What that actually means I do not know as I didn't really ask. However if your serious about it just give them a call and ask what you have to do. I thought the same thing, that surely it would hit the bonnet on the front.
-
I agree in a way, however a couple of mates of mine with 1000s (one has a Busa the other an 08 R1) agreed that for around town a 600 is much more fun and usable. They said if they were to buy another bike again it would be back to a 600. I'm going a 600 because for what I use the bike for a 1000 would never have an advantage over the 600 other than being heavier, more expensive to buy and using more fuel. No doubt it would be faster, however for any sain speed around town, even if speeding, the bikes are very even. The skill of the rider comes more into play more than anything. Only until you start going into ridicolous speeds does a 1000 actually pull that much harder. In perspective qouted quarter times: '08 R6 10.7-10.9 '08 R1 9.8-10.0 Really it's f'all difference for something riden on the street. The main advantage a 1000 has is the low down torque so you don't need to give it as much revs, meh.
-
Damn it you beat me to it Birds Yeah has been done before, main advantage is for dirt bikes. http://www.christini.com/

I have to ask this, don't get offended, you don't have a girlfriend do you?
