  1. Yep that is exactly right. This is the one thing most of these young guys don't understand when talking about "taking a turbo off". This does not make the car legal. The car is complianced and registered as a turbo car therefore it is irrelevant if you take the turbo off, still illegal to drive. (might sound a bit stupid but thats the case). The only way i can think of making it legal (at least in QLD) is going to an engineer, getting it mod plated for not having a turbo, then re registering it as a non turbo. This still might not be legal i dunno. But if it was it would be the only way to do it and really if your going to all that effort, for f**ks sake just buy a non turbo GTS.
  2. Hahaha, good thread though, proves Ash is actually human and doesn't know everything
  3. Hahaha yeah well thats different
  4. No worries man I'll leave you some trader feedback.
  5. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fo...ick-t66556.html Start reading some of those man to get your knowledge up a bit. Nothing worse than people telling you to do stuff but you don't know why. Knowledge is power my friend.
  6. 3071 is smaller than the 3076. As Titan said.
  7. Yeah i wouldn't have thought many people bought the Japanese version. I can't wait for it to come out, but im a bit worried because i heard they have taken out a lot of freedom in the game and that the storyline is very linear. Can't do heaps of random non storyline stuff and go where ever you want. Hope this aint the case to much.
  8. If you must get rid of the GT-SS's, really your only option to keep it as resposive as you can get with that power level is a 3076. Any smaller and really your downgrading from your current setup. I know what you mean about the room thing though, the twins are a pain in the ass for that.
  9. As others have said, as long as you don't have the factory plenum they will fit. Hell you could probably make them fit even with the standard plenum with a bit of modifying if you were that keen.
  10. I know they have factory HID's, but from the first pic it did still look pretty yellow. Judging from the new above pics it doesn't look that bad so maybe it was just the way the first pic turned out. What kelvin are the factory ones?
  11. Maybe if you posted each label that you have, we could tell you/find pics of where they go. I'm sure we have all seen our fair share of R32 GTR's so maybe that would be a way. Just an idea.
  12. Yep get a set of 6000k HID's off of Dave. One of the best mods i've ever done, makes night time driving fantastic and havn't ever had any dramas with them. The picture doesn't do them justice (my old camera), but you get the idea.
  13. I've been hanging out for Final Fantasy XIII on PS3 for a while now and i think it comes out March 9 here in Aus (or near that date). However it got released in Japan last month and i've noticed there are a few on ebay getting around, obviously in Japanese though. Have any die hard fans that can speak/read japanese bought one from Japan and played it yet? What you think?
  14. *double post*
  15. Ladies and gentleman, looks like this thread is back in action
  16. Good stuff man. I thought that car looked familiar off of SAU
  17. Ahh yep that's probably it. Sorry, mine doesn't have a dimmer for the lights so i forget some skylines have that.
  18. "You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake!" Sorry, it had to be said.

    My R35

Damn i didn't realise how much carbon fibre was underneath the car.
  20. *Dr Evil voice* "1 billion dollars!"
  21. Hmmm that doesn't ring any bells. Could be something from the previous owner. Post up a pic if you want and it might help.
  22. That is the corect operation of a boost gauge. Under no load the intake pressure sits in a vacuum, demonstrated on the gauge as a negative pressure. Once the engine is under sufficient load and the turbo is "spooling" the pressure will go into a positive "boost" it will continue to climb until the wastegate cracks open and the boost will stabilise at a single value controlled by the wastegate/boost controller. Have a read of this, good article to explain the basics. http://www.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm
  23. Very impressive vid My god that graph is impressive!
