I dunno, it's just strange, i'm curious to see what Kevin says. I have a few friends in big dollar jobs (mining, special forces etc) and while they are all on fantastic money, none of them have gone from owning a 20k car they just purchased to a 200k car in a years time with a family and a lot of other expenses (home loans, car repayments, bills etc). If it is none of our business ill respect that, i just find this thread a bit hard to believe knowing all of his past threads and the questions he has asked over the years; mainly to do with cosmetic modifications to his skyline and nearly no performance modifications.
-
No disrespect dude, but i gotta ask this. I've been a member here a bit before you came and i remember some of your first threads. First one was about P-plate laws affecting current P platers. I read it cause i was in a similar situation and remembered you since then. You had your P's the same time i did. (edit: i just read you said you were 28, so did you get your license when you were 23-24?) Since then a few of your threads really stood out so I remembered you well; the "Can i import a Calsonic Skyline" thread. Anyway to cut to the chase i've read a lot of your threads since you make threads quite regularly and i don't understand how you can afford a brand new R35 GTR or possibly "a Ferrari/R8 down the track".....not questioning your financial situation, but going from cars from around the same price range "10k-20k" and then reading last year you saying you couldn't afford rego on the car and made a thread asking what would happen if you didn't pay it, to suddenly a year later saying you can afford exotic supercars i gotta ask your secret?? Sorry if this offends you, it aint ment to, i just call it how i see it and was just wondering?

Honestly the best option would to just fork out a grand or so and get yours redone in leather in what ever colour and style you want, I'm going to be doing the same down the track. The Just Jap leathers are fairly nice seats, my mate used to have a pair in his shop a few years back, however the quality wasn't that fantastic on stitching and padding which made me think they would probably not take a lot of wear and tear and you could tell why they were so well priced. Don't get me wrong, they might be a lot better nowadays, but they won't be the same quality as a set of leather Bride's or Sparco's etc. Also with after market seats the costs go up a little bit more than just the seats themselves due to needing a mod plate for them and vehicle specific seat rails as well which is another added cost. The cheapest, best quality leather option that i looked into was to get the GTR ones re-trimmed.

Nah man, that is fine, it's shit like this that is shocking.

Ohh man i want that Ducati! Both yours? Very nice

Oh no doubt, however you can get a good offset matched with some proper tyres that sit nicely. I don't mind the tyres sticking out of the gaurds slightly, i like that look. However half the rim sticking out with stretched tyres tucked underneath with ridiculous camber just isn't my thing. Thats the joys of doing what we do though, every car is different and every one has different tastes.
-
I'm glad im not the only one that think half these cars have shithouse offsets. 10 degrees of negative camber, a 215 stretched tire on a 11" rim with the entire wheel tucked under flared gaurds that scrub and spin the whole way through second gear with 140rwkw because there is 2cm of tire touching the road just really doesn't do it for me. I agree some look tuff to look at parked up, but to actually drive them around in a performance car i don't understand the point. Funnily enough its the same people that you hear about saying they can't get traction through three gears on stock power outputs.
-
I replaced both the exhaust manifold heat shield and the exhaust housing heat shield with a custom one piece one. Much easier to get on and off and looks a lot better. If you can't get the stock ones to fit just make your own, but definitely worth having on there to keep under bonnet temps down.

Dude thread is from 5 years ago..

Wrecking R33 Gtst S2

PM sent. -
Really it all comes down to the specs of that highflow turbo and what power it will make. Any information on what company highflowed it? Will give you a better indication of what power it will most likely make and how far you can push it.

In situations like that, where some one tries to kill your dog with 7 attempts should mean you are legally allowed to put a single round into his skull. That is utter bullshit, people like that don't deserve to live.
-
Hence i said "not quite correct". If you get a good one they can be fine, however 9/10 times they aren't, just like you said with the factory coil packs and other parts, most are f**ked after 15 years. Personally i'm impressed that Hamish's holds boost to redline at 20psi. Nearly all the ones i've come across start opening up and tappering off boost at high rpm.
-
Not quite correct, the stock GTST bov's dont hold shut on high boost pressure. The GTR ones as we all know are a lot better for this.
-
How on earth did you throw a rod with 200rwkw? If you don't plan to do much more to the car, just get another RB25 engine, a lot cheaper and no mucking around.

Cheers for the pic Hamish, should fit fine then.

How did this all turn out? Really respect you holding yourself back, that takes a lot of willpower to fight the natural rage instict. I nearly took a bat to a guy because he ripped my "S" badge off the bonnet of my car three years ago at my party, my mum and close friends had to hold me back cause at that point i wanted to kill him. Can't imagine being in your situation. The dogs would have been the final straw for me. I could easily kill a man if he killed my dog as im sure most others would. Amazing what people are capable of in such events. Hope it all turned out fine and he left you and your family alone. Absolutely pathetic, hope Karma comes back to him one day.
