  1. I'm going to assume that you are talking about getting a R32 GTR since it would be achievable for money he is talking, believe it or not, maybe he doesn't want to go from a fairly newish car to something that is 20 years old and will probably end up costing him more money once 20 year old parts start letting go. He asked for 6k onto his car, not telling him to sell his car.
  2. I know thats not what the original version of the word is. Obviously its Japanese Domestic Market. But what im saying is in today's world, people use it to describe the particular way a car is modified. I'm not saying i embrace these words but it is what our society uses. JDM, Sex Spec, VIP, Muscle etc. It's just words that people use for a descriptive purpose of a car. There are no preset rules to modify a car, therefore people like to categorise the certain ways people have modified them. I know it can be annoying and stupid, but im sure most of us on here understand if some one says "For Sale, Sex Spec S15" or "For Sale, JDM tuned R32 GTR". Your not going to think the S15 is a drift cop with a matt black paint job and your not going to think that the R32 GTR has a set of Dolce wheels and a pink paintjob.
  3. Ahh nice. You picking up a set locally or from Japan?
  4. Too me JDM means the car has been modified in a way that is usually unique to Japanese modified cars. Ie. a supra with 20" chromies and a tan leather interior with down lights isn't JDM.
  5. Agreed, also depends on whether you will do the services yourself or get a mechanic to do it. If you do it yourself and use good fluids, no reason it would cost more than any other car of similar age/requirements.
  6. All it's going to be is an SC14 Toyota supercharger for around the $300-$600 mark with some custom brackets made up. It'll rob the car of some down low power and make up for it in the midrange and up top to about 140-160rwkw, if that. Nothing new. Hardly 4th gear tyre frying.
  7. Lol god people like you make me laugh. Typical response of a person that knows he is losing an argument, having to make it personal with attacks, typical brain function of a weak minded individual. I'm not going to bother arguing with you, i dont need to, because i know what is possible and what isn't. So ill just wait for you to post up your "RB supercharger kit" that runs 9psi and "lights up 18" tyres in 4th gear" and let the good people of SAU judge whether or not your speaking shit
  8. There is bending the truth. Then there is lying. Then there is speaking shit. And then there is that statement.

Out of curiousity what was the item and how was it faulty?
  10. You make baby jesus cry Pedro.
  11. What Bride's you looking at getting Hamish?
  12. The point of buying something like that is to keep it in a shed locked up for another 20 years.

  14. F**k thats clean! I think blingtr's "one of the best/cleanest r32s in the world" has just been proven wrong.
  15. Yeah the green stuff isn't to good for the GTST, i have been running the red stuff on mine for probably two years now and am pretty happy with them. They get a good thrashing coming down the hill and seem to cope pretty well. Have you ever compared the red stuff and the yellow stuff pads?
  16. Had one in my car for a while (borrowed one, Bride fixed bucket), pain in the ass for a daily driver. Each to their own, but i wasn't a fan, too hard to get in and out of the car, couldn't reach around and get anything from the back and wasn't the most comfortable thing for longer trips. Obviously every seat is different, that was just my experience with the fixed bucket bride.
  17. I've seen them before on the net for about $100-$130 delivered.
  18. What the f**k you on about?
  19. Why the hell would you want to get rid of the GTR badges Just keep it looking clean. A little tiny sticker here or there isn't a sin. But don't do the whole shopping list door thing.
  20. The cap has to be removed, that is the whole point, how is it ment to bleed out air if it is blocked.
  21. Hmm there you go, must be the huge humidity that we get up here that kills the performance.
  22. Ummm it's been six minutes since you posted. Also this is in the forced induction section, this has nothing to do with forced induction.
  23. Umm like i said, if he wanted to retain the VCT than he has to narrow down his choices. Those cams don't allow you to keep the VCT.
