  1. Lol the silver thing is the condensor for the air con.
  2. Wow your parting it out, never thought i'd see that. Great car buddy, remember seeing it in Ignition years ago good luck with it
  3. I always keep mine at half a tank, 30ish kg lighter that way
  4. They powdercoat them for that price or just paint?
  5. Surely the heat exchanger infront of the radiator, pulley, belt, thermo fan, condensor, lines and a couple of other little bits and pieces would weigh more than 4kg on top of the weight of the compressor? Another main reason to take it out is i want to get more airflow to the radiator since it gets so hot up here and don't want the car over heating on the track. I think i'll just take it out and deal with putting it back in down the track when i need it again.
  6. If your keen to come down in price a bit with the Tomei ornament let me know and ill grab it off ya. Cheers.
  7. One thing you might want to do is get some Redline Water Wetter. Add it to your coolant to slightly help it from boiling. It aint too expensive and works well. I'll definetely be adding it to my system every track day.
  8. Hmmm interesting. With the de-gassing, other then pollution wise does it really matter if you vent it to atmosphere? One of my mates does re-gassing and if some one wants a cheap cash job he'll just vent it to atmosphere and re-gas it instead of making them pay the fees for the gas removal and disposing. I was thinking of properly sealing everything up and trying to store it in air tight bags or something. I dunno, i don't really use the aircon much and next year really want to have some fun in the car tracking it, with the aircon out it is all positives with just my time being used taking it out which i don't really care since the car takes up the majority of my time lol.
  9. Bringing back an old thread i know, has any one used araldite or something to try and seal up the hole and put a black sticker from the inside so it looks clean? I've taken mine off and am thinking of sealing it up some how.
  10. They are all seperate belts so that wouldn't change anything luckily. Taking it off i don't really see a problem, i'm just not sure how refitting everything would go without having leaks or something.
  11. If you remove the whole aircon assembly from the engine bay (condensor, compressor, heat exchanger, belt, lines, pulleys etc) can it be re-installed down the track fairly easily? Obviously it will have to be re-gassed which doesn't bother me, mainly can it be removed without damaging certain parts? I wanna take it out with a few other things while i track it next year to save a bit of weight over the front (from my understanding over 20kg), get some more cold air to the radiator and take the marginal load off the crank. Currently its a tad under 1500kg going off the weigh bridge with a full tank and me in the car. I wanna get the car a bit under 1450kg (So say around 1360kg with half a tank and no driver). However one day i might crack the shits and want aircon back so I want to make sure that when you remove it, there isn't certain parts that break and are expensive to replace (seals or something maybe? I dont know much about aircons.) Thanks guys.
  12. Dude don't, just get a nice 1.5 way LSD, lot less work and less headache than these diffs.
  13. For f**ks sake, Andrew don't listen to some of these knobs on here whining and bitching for no reason what so ever. Complaning about advertising, are you for real? Is this your site? Then what the f**k do you care? Andrew has done more for our scene then most of you ever will so please keep your stupid comments to yourself. Keep the DVD's coming bud
  14. In theory yes you can do it, however the temperature readings will not be useful. I run mine in the dump pipe just after the exhaust housing.
  15. So very true, i'm now doing this and it was the best descision i ever made
  16. Yeah it does cut out at around 5000rpm, however you lose the power below 5000rpm...
  17. Lol seems none of us have the check valve installed
  18. I dont mind the look of the Just Jap carbon fibre boxes. Fairly good price aswell, an alternative to think about. I might chuck one in one day.
  19. My car was fine, had a slight problem idling on the previous tune so i just opened up the throttle with the idle screw and drove it to the tuners like that.
  20. Umm before it used to understeer more than it oversteered. Now it seems like it takes a lot more speed for it to understeer. It is definetely better than it was on stock swaybars, but i would still like to dial out the understeer. Once i play around with everything else and still find it does still understeer when pushed hard i might get the adjustable 24mm front as i want it more neutral. I know R33's understeer a lot since they have a lot of weight up front, but im sure you can get them balanced nicely with a bit of work. Hell comparing how the car handles now to how it did 3 years ago when it was stock makes it seem like a completely different car.
  21. Was good finally seeing this car in real life, was very impressive to watch
  22. For a track day, dyno day or for the drags i think for the extra $20 for a little bit more added safety its probably the best thing you can do.
  23. F**k yeah! Looks good.
  24. Go to a porn website and play around for a couple of minutes.
