I've drilled holes through my Vertex carbon fibre canards to fit them and was amazed how easy it is to drill through it. Havn't seen any signs of damage.
I think you'll be fine.
If you get the boot post up pics, only ones i've seen installed are the full flat carbon fibre boots that get rid of the spoiler like this:
Always wanted to see what a carbon one would look like with the factory series II wing on it.
The carbon boots weigh about 5kg, any one know what a stock boot weighs? It woudln't be too much more would it?
Not a huge fan of the little ones for mine, wanted something that goes all the way across the radiator/headlights in carbon. Mate has the garage defend one on his S15 and it looks amazing.
Are you serious?!?! Every place i asked about them said "No they wont fit a series II GTST". When asked if i could modify it to fit same thing "It won't fit buddy". Could you please post a pic up? What brand do you have?
Roy, dont suppose you have a dyno graph of a decently setup 2530 on a 25 do you? I'd be keen to compare it to mine. Obviously dyno graphs tell you shit all about how it drives on the street, but still i'd be interested. A mate of mine had a 2530kai on his and it supposibly went really well, however i dont see him often enough to ask for a dyno sheet.
Could you make an entire carbon deflector for a R33 Series II front like this:
All the ones that are available are for R33 GTR's. Pretty sure if you made these for Series I's and II's they would be very popular...
My car is that loud i didn't hear the profec beeping its tits off at me when it went over 25psi lol. The boost cut function on the profec also didn't work because it needs to use the line that split
Ordered some braided lines for it the other day so it doesn't happen again.
Yeah i so wish this E85 was more readily available.
Antilag is very fun. 60km/h, put it into second, hold the clutch in, anti lag on, foot flat, full boost, drop clutch, try to keep it straight and hang the f**k on!
I have too disagree on keeping the standard turbo and agree with Roy. A HKS 2530 or a GTRS (or something along those lines) when set up properly is just as responsive as the stock one, if not more.
Shit, i still have that factory elbow thing....
I had my vacuum line to the wastegate split while giving it some in the hills the other night, spiked up to 39psi!! No idea how it didn't blow the gasket, good old tough RB's lol.
Cheers man. Hahaha yeah the little turbo is definetely running out of puff. "I'm giving it all she's got captain!"
Seeing 270 would be nice though, might have to chuck it on Pauls or Verns dyno to see if they read a bit higher
1. Replace plugs to something like BKR6E's or equivalent.
2. Borrow a mates set of coil packs and replace them.
3. Borrow a mates ignitor and replace that.
4. Borrow a mates coil pack loom and replace that.
Do it in that order as thats most likely the order you will find it.
You pulled 200kw@wheels on the stock ECU and a side mount
The stock ECU should be dumping bulk fuel, how the hell is it pinging?
Adjusting the timing via the CAS is pretty bloody dodgy.
Cheers man. Like i said, it was mainly for my personal interest to see how the car has differed over when it was stock and thought it was kind of interesting to post up. Didn't think it would cause a fuss lol.
I tried uploading the Excel spread-sheet file but SAU won't allow it to upload If any one doesn't know how to make graphs and crap, just shoot me a PM and ill send it to ya so you can just add your values.
