  1. They mean the actual number represented on the Power FC hand controller. Every one knows that Jap cars are speed limited to 180km/h. It had nothing to do with a "gentlemans agreement", it was simply that you only needed to build the car to be able to go to a maximum of 180km/h safely. The "gentlemens agreement" was referred to manufacturers in the 90's limiting power output to 206kw (even though they didn't). And the R35 GTR doesn't unlock the full power when you go on a race track, it simply removes the speed limiter.
  2. Are you selling the Tiptronic steering wheel?
  3. Didn't say it couldn't physically be done. I said to get it approved/engineered in QLD to make it road legal would be next to impossible. The handling is the least of your worries. The roof/windscreen make up the main structural rigidity of the vehicle. There is a reason why convertibles weigh 30-60kg more than the equivelent coupe/sedan as they have to make up for the structural loss. Hell drive a factory aero-top Supra with the roof off and feel the whole car twist and vibrate; and that's a car that was engineered properly by the manufacturer. You wanted advice, we are giving it to you. If you want people to blow some smoke up your ass by saying "Yeah man do it, piece of piss, just chop the roof" then go on Boostcruising. As said above. You want a nice Nissan convertible cruiser buy a Varietta and drop a turbo motor into it. Will also look a hell of a lot better.
  4. It's actually more or less an oil warmer.
  5. You'll never be able to get it engineered and road legal and I think you are underestimating how much something like that would cost to do properly.
  6. Peak power will barely change but that isn't he purpose of Poncams. Midrange torque is where the main improvement will be. Is it worth the money? Depends what else you could spend the money on.
  7. The wastegate is part of the turbo, they are internally wastegated. Before you do anything though, take the dump pipe off and see if the exhaust wheel is missing and if it is lodged in the cat.
  8. If you pop an intercooler pipe on a factory ECU/AFM equipped R33 GTST it will not idle and blow black smoke like crazy. If the car idles fine and drives perfectly fine, just doesn't make any boost, you have blown the exhaust wheel on the turbo.
  9. Always contemplated ditching the S2 wing for the carbon drift/lip wing. Still got a soft spot for them. Looks good man.
  10. Latest reports (nothing yet confirmed by BMW) show the 2012 M3 to be a triple turbo inline 6 (two conventional exhaust gas driven turbos and one electric turbo).
  11. That's the spirit!
  12. Looks good, carbon grill?
  13. Nah you don't install an extra injector. It just retards the timing by a huge amount and opens the injectors to create a lot of unburnt fuel so it can ignite in the exhaust manifold. It's all just settings in the ECU. Nah havn't done that yet. Launch control is something I want to setup in the future though.
  14. Lol good stuff.
  15. Hahaha nice. Is that a rubber band on the bottom.....
  16. Yeah it's fine. I havn't driven the 2011 model so don't have anything to compare with. Dad's doing the BMW Performance package aswell when he gets back from Afghanistan. Might look into a proper tune aswell, will see. Only thing we have done mods wise is a BMW Performance carbon rear spoiler, BMW Performance black kidney grills and a Duke Dynamics carbon rear diffuser.
  17. Great cars Dad's got a space gray 09 335i M Sport. I absolutely love the DCT!
  18. Maybe later on in the evening. Might get a coffee or something. I'll txt some of the other guys, see if they are keen.
  19. Will do. Prices are good, freight might just be a little bit. But either way should be cheaper than anywhere else Doesn't look like they do it with a shaved latch. They do the bootlid though. I could ask if they could do it without the latch though. Haha sorry, didn't realise you didn't know about this thread Don't suppose you want a carbon R32 GTR Grill for it? I might be keen on a little bit of a drive later on tonight if others are keen.
  20. Had some nice video updates being sent to me, car sounded awesome!
  21. Hahaha. You won't be saying that when I get you a carbon hatch
  22. Oh nice! Well maybe this is something that is doable then. Might have to speak to some people and see what they can make.
  23. Yeah have thought about carbon door inserts plenty of times. However given that the door is one solid piece i'm not sure how you would go about it. Hence probably why no one has ever done it. I dunno. Would definetely be nice and something i'd definetely be keen on.
