  1. Let us know how it goes on the dyno man.
  2. True that, way to flat.
  3. Were they RB25 cams or RB20 cams? RB25 cams have HKS stamped on them, 100%. Tomei don't have anything so don't compare them. Concaves on the cams mean standard RB25 cams. Another way to tell is that HKS cams don't have a casting mark down the side of the entire cam, stock ones do. Here's a stock one, as you can see, it has the concave and the casting mark. Your paint picture is exactly what stock ones look like. Call him tomorrow and tell him he sent you stock cams, see what he says.
  4. It's like $20-$25. It's not really made to last, just a touch up application to give it some final gloss.
  5. You ever end up getting those lights?
  6. *Subscribes to thread* If he ends up making them, can we get a couple of things modified on them so they are a bit different from the original ones? (RB25 ones) Reason i ask, i would rather have a couple of things changed to make them look a bit nicer: 1. The dimple midway on the intake cam cover removed so its flat. 2. The breather on the side of the intake cover removed, so its flat. 3. For the series II's, the four bolt holes on the back of the coilpack cover removed. Obviously this might not suit everyone, but maybe we could have a vote or something. Just throwing some ideas out there.
  7. Yeah its nothing new, all the major brands make them. Its just a liquid spray polish to get fingersprints and crap off. Personally i like to use the Mothers Showtime.
  8. Jesus, i thought i had a lot of carbon shit on my car!
  9. You mean it keeps cranking over but doesn't start? The CAS could be slightly out, rotate it a bit clockwise and try again. Most likely base timing is too far retarded. You got a test light?
  10. Hmm interesting, the stock ones have the concave....
  11. Probably not it, but ill ask anyway, what boost controller you running? I had a similar issue on the dyno, car started sounding like it was missfiring anything over 18psi and couldnt work out why. Then i remembered that the Profec was set to a max boost cut of 18psi, anything over and it sounded like it was missfiring, turned it off and she was all sweet. So it is 100% missfiring and not just sounding like it is?
  12. Call the dude and ask him, atleast the HKS ones have markings so you know, with the Tomei ones they dont have shit, so you put them in hoping you have the right ones. Here's a question for you, on the stock camhafts, near the cam gears, you can put a spanner on it. On the HKS ones you can do the same thing half way down, the stock ones have nothing. Do yours have these?
  13. Well mine did. I had 256/264 RB25 cams, if you have the same and they dont have stampings then i would assume you got rickrolled.
  14. Yes HKS cams have HKS stamped one them for RB25's. These are my old ones.
  15. +1 For MAP. As said above, takes a little longer to crank over and cold start some times hunts for a little bit. Nothing big.
  16. Mine is mounted behind the drivers seat on the little panel underneath the rear seat where the bolt goes into. Nice neat spot that doesn't get in the way and fairly easy to reach.
  17. Great results man, i'm sure you'll be able to crack a 10.
  18. On that boost power is good, get a decent boost controller and wind more boost into it because that boost graph is shocking.
  19. Sorry what's TIP?
  20. Got it in facing the right way? Stupid question i know, but u'd be suprised with the amount of people that but them in back to front.
  21. Well i have new cams and a new head now. First the cat collapsed and restricted us to 170kw, now with that fixed we are up to 240kw on 20psi. On this boost and head setup we should have easily cracked 270kw. Still trying to find the problem.
  22. Oh ok fair enough. Yeah im having dramas again with my new setup, can't believe this is happening again.
