  1. Well there goes that idea..
  2. I wouldn'y worry about it. Do the two rear cam brackets (no. 6 and 7) have the baffles on them?
  3. Stupid question i know but sometimes the most simple things can be the cause. Are the seals around the right way?
  4. I think you made the right choice
  5. I'm more amazed that you managed to pour 8L into the engine Your lucky you didn't blow out the rear crank seal. So you've allready poured out 4-5L but it is still burning it?
  6. Please for the love of god don't compare a GTR to a Lambo of this caliber.
  7. Bahahahaha your kidding me right!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tynE-usTU7Q Anyone else spot the white R35 Mmmmm russian babes...
  8. How fast are the plugs fouling up? I change mine every 5000km and they are perfectly fine when taken out. Why don't you run an O2 sensor? Mine does. Ok the rough idling when cold is sometimes true, but doesn't bother me at all (sounds tuff). This is not really a Microtech issue, but a tuning issue running MAP sensors. It is hard to get it perfect and you will find the same issue with most MAP sensored ECU's when not tuned perfectly.
  9. Wow that Torana has some balls.
  10. Are you the same mechanic?!?! My god, what utter rubbish. Get a good bellmouth, all in one, dump pipe or a well known split pipe (yes there are cases where the wastegate hits the dump pipe, but this is usually an issue with aftermarket internal gate turbos, not a stock one.) TRUST me, it will make a difference. However you should have done it before you got the power FC tuned, as the stock dump is a restriction and you wouldn't have had the best gains when you got the FC tuned.
  11. *sigh* another hatred of microtech thread. What does your tuner like to tune, go from there. No matter what half these people say the microtech aint shit. It's cheap, is MAP sensored, easy to install (with plug in loom), launch control, multiple maps and has shit loads of features and runs fine. It all comes down to what people like to tune, i dont tune the car so aslong as my car is nice to drive and makes the power i couldnt give two shits what ECU is running it. I'm good friends with my tuner and he likes tuning Microtech's, hence why i bought one.
  12. I just paid a lot for mine, however i do love good head.
  13. Yep, can't be bothered searching for it though. EDIT: I got bored http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pr...tml&hl=rb24
  14. Simple answer, No.
  15. Yes, however he is talking about a RB20, not a RB25.
  16. Haha you beat me to it.
  17. Exactly right, dyno sheets don't tell ANYTHING bout the way the car drives on the street other than whether the power comes on like a light switch at high rpm's.
  18. Pfft RB20's don't die, what a load of shit. I can gauarntee if the RB30DET was available from factory in a GTR half of these arguments wouldn't exist. It's just the fact it's in a VL which puts people off (and i dont blame them, it puts me off aswell, however i can look past that and look at a block for what it is...a BLOCK! There is more to an engine than just the block). Hell if half you people are so against saying "you have a RB30 under the bonnet", simple fix, don't tell people. Not many people can notice the extra height in the engine bay, so for all they know, you have a huge HP RB25/RB26. It would be interesting to see whether some one that was so "RB26 pure" could actually tell if a car was a RB30/26. I could bet they wouldn't and would probably just say "Wow this thing has a lot more torque/response than mine!" Not saying you can't build a RB26 to have as much torque, not at all, Dirt has proved this, however look how much experience he has and how much time and money he would have put into development. For 90% of engine builders around the country, they couldn't come close to potential of a RB30DET. My 2 cents.
  19. Yeah fair call. Another reason i don't let mechanics touch my car other than my tuner.
  20. Their similar to the turbosmart hose clamps aren't they?
  21. Off memory its like $50-$100 a rim for powder coating depending who you go to, atleast that's up here.
  22. Love staggered wheel sizes, very old school thing. I wanna get 19's on the back of mine one day. Gives a nice balance to the car
