  1. ^ sounds about right. I highly doubt 320kw is obtainable from a highflow with a VG30 housing, regardless what is done to the car unless there is a shot of nitrous in it.
  2. Type M's aren't made anymore and have been replaced by the Type LS. I have a type M on mine, very nice inexpensive intercooler kit. The HKS Type S is double the price and both are rated at around 400-500HP from memory. Your choice, however try and get the Type LS, its lighter, flows better and is a tube and fine compared to the Type M.
  3. Hmmm i've been thinking about this and the only thing i can think of is oil leaking through the head past the valve stem seal into the intake and then past the valves. So to me it looks like a valve stem seal not installed correctly? Im sure some one on here a bit more experienced in head building could answer this question.
  4. Its in a 5L and is around $80-$100
  5. Are you saying he's dreaming because its double that money or what? Because considering in your screen name it says your building an os giken RB30/26 and an os giken bottom end is $30,000 alone ( http://www.otomoto.com.au/osgiken/RB30_race_engine.htm ) i think his statement was fairly accurate....
  6. Wet shots of gas can very, very easily be hidden. You can set it up so its virtually invisible. Hardest thing is hiding the bottle somewhere that isn't obvious.....
  7. Out of curiousity, if your not a fan of skylines (assuming you do actually own a series 1 R33 as it says in your display) why do you own one?
  8. Strut braces or swaybars? If you do actually mean strut braces then no you shouldn't get any more road noise.
  9. *Sits back with popcorn* This is gonna be good......
  10. My old man has a PWR water-air setup on his blown monaro, works great, but as said they are a bit pricey. Draconis, have you thought about a FMIC with a water/meth setup? What's the car being used for?
  11. F***ing SNAP!!!! Lol. But Mafia is right, FPR's on basically stock cars trying to "squeeze" extra power out of the stock injectors by bumping up the fuel pressure isn't the best idea and isn't highly recommended. Get yourself some cheap second hand S15 injectors if you only want a little bit more headroom from your injectors.
  12. Yeah, i was going to say, if you could find for a set of HKS GT-SS turbo's or some N1 turbo's second hand that would be a good option. The 2530/2560's are obviously going to make more power than your stock turbos, but no one is saying you have to push them hard, run them at low boost and it'll be similar to what you have with more power through out the rev range. Horsepowerinabox or GCG have them for around a grand each. Or check the business traders section on here.
  13. For around 2k (for something new, obviously second hand opens up more choices), a set of garret 2530's or 2560's (-7) will do the job. Still very responsive and a nice power upgrade if that's all your after.
  14. Jesus christ you guys have it hard down there!! Beginning to understand why more and more of you guys keep everything looking stock on your cars.
  15. What's the max power you want out of them? Or just something equivalent to the stock setup with a little bit more punch?
  16. Wow how unlucky for the turbo to let go the day you fit a cat-back exhaust.
  17. Marty's one? Honestly man its a lot of work and cash for not much gain. Better off just upgrading your turbo to something bigger. Will work out cheaper, will make more power and be more responsive.
  18. Damn Nick, sounds like a bit of an unfortunate event for Christmas for ya. Definetely sounds like you blew the stock turbo. If it's pissing out white smoke its burning oil from the turbo. Easy way to check, jack the car up and unbolt the dump pipe at the cat, you'll most likely find bits and pieces of the ceramic exhaust wheel inside of it. Also who did the compression test? If its consistent on all 6 cylinders that's the main thing, however 110-125 is pretty low.... If you need a hand, let me know and ill come check it out.
  19. Hasn't popped an intercooler pipe? Is there black smoke coming out of the exhaust when your drivving it?
  20. Ahh woops, i missed that it had Tomei pistons. But still, thats pretty impressive power on the stock rods.
  21. Am i reading that correctly? Did you just say you ran 399rwkw on an internally stock RB25?!?!
  22. The new HPI is out?!?!?! It doesn't have my car in it does it? I got told it should be this issue
  23. For 270 degree cams your usually looking at 10mm lift or more, for that you'll definetely need to go solid lifters. However im pretty sure you can get HKS step one cams in 272 with only 8.7mm lift. For the amount of power your pushing, you'd be stupid not to go solid lifters with some big cams if drag racing is what you want the car for with that turbo.
