  1. If I was a p plater I'd be fairly happy with an FTO. The one above looks good. They are just gay when young kids make them look like something out of the fast and the furious.
  2. I love those Gallery dress up bolts from the States. So dear though!
  3. Half that list won't actually do anything for straight line traction. On stock suspension you really should not be having traction issues if you have good tyres and a good alignment. Do those first before doing the rest.
  4. Thought I would just update the info I posted above about the new M3. Production ends on the M3 Sedan this October while the coupe and covertible will still be made until 2012. While the sedan may not make a combeback in the new generation M3 it still isn't 100% confirmed. Current estimates say that the new model may not be out until 2014 though. However the newest news which is why I wanted to post this up is that the new M3 may be triple turbocharged! Reports indicate that the inline 6 may use the conventional twin turbo setup as the 335i does but also an additional third electric turbocharger! Interesting stuff indeed.
  5. Get a good paint shop and you won't have problems - especially with white as it doesn't fade like the other Nissan factory colours. I've had my bumper resprayed twice over the last 5 years and it's been matched perfectly each time.
  6. Posted in the wrong section however what is the current setup on the car? (specs on shocks/springs, tyres, rims, camber, etc.)
  7. Yeah they really do look like great quality, one of the best i've seen. Hopefully there is no dramas with installation.
  8. Who knows... I think they will try and send them out as soon as they can though. Might mean two people a month or more....or just one lol.
  9. Plastic bumpers can move around without damaging the paint. It's perfectly fine. The damage was most likely done as said above. Not just from normal driving...
  10. Exactly. The techedge ones are worth the money as they are that little bit better quality in every way. The 2J9 is the replecement of the 2J2 now.
  11. UPDATE The rest of the kits have been sent so I will PM every one their tracking numbers now Also regarding the black fittings, they are is such short supply that Hel have an allowance of 5 of each black fitting a month! So they will just have to send them out as they come in one person at a time. I will go last so every one else can get theirs first. Unfortunately that's the best they can do
  12. Yep basically. Mine is setup through the Vipec to arm off of a missile switch. Once armed it will only activate on full throttle (TPS 100%) and only between 3000-6000RPM. I also have first and second gear locked out so it will only activate in third or above (due to traction and not wanting to kill myself with an uncontrollable car lol).
  13. No the dry system has to use the injectors to richen up the mixture. It's only called "dry" because the kit itself has nothing to do with fuel. One nozzle before the throttle. Individual nozzles for each runner is done when you are talking about a serious shot of nitrous when one nozzle simply can't flow enough. Yep always done on full throttle. Kits come with a manual switch setup which is gay so you can instead run an electronic TPS setup through a window switch or through an aftermarket ECU. Any gear in reality. Comes down to traction though. However you should never hit limiter with nitrous engaged and you should be above 3000RPM. This is where the window switch/ECU control is much better than the simple manual switch setup they give you. Like I said, there is plenty of things to learn about and it mainly comes down to learning the dangers and how to prevent them. EDIT: I found the videos I was looking for. They explain it the best. So scroll back up to where I first posted the photos and watch the videos.
  14. Thats the guys I was thinking of. Cheers.
  15. Nice Yeah research is the key. With nitrous you really need to understand how everything works as even a slight mistake can cost you big not to mention having an engine let go under full throttle while at speed is just plain dangerous.
  16. Yeah just one mounting bracket, it will be more than fine to hold it up. I might not even use it and make up some custom brackets. Will see how it goes mounting in the drivers side front gaurd. J34 - Yeah i'm still waiting on yours and the other guys tracking numbers. I wish companies had better communication. I mean I understand people are busy and all but when you have some ones money communication is key! Hell I feal bad if I don't reply to some of your guys PMs after 24 hours!
  17. Where's the greddy gauge pressure sender mounted? As in where have you got it taking it's reading from?
  18. In a nutshell a dry system injects only nitrous into your intake. This would normally kill an engine straight away. So your ECU has to detect that nitrous has been activated and adjust the tune by adding more fuel from the injectors. There are some benefits to doing it like this but for most cases in cars such as ours it isn't the way to do things and is just asking for problems. A wet system on the other hand injects fuel and nitrous into the intake and that's all that needs to be done. ECU doesn't need to do a thing. Lot easier and safer. Videos to explain it: Not sure if that was what you wanted to know or whether you actually wanted the details on it. Figured that was a brief enough explanation to understand it.
  19. Ok I'll organise it. You guys all rock up at my place one night and I will plan which way we drive down to the breakwater Did you buy a sexyline?
  20. Ah ok, then yes that would bump the price up. Do you really need a gauge though? I've never understood the purpose of one since you only use it while tuning - ie you have a laptop there showing you the readout.
  21. Ugly? It's a sensor and a control unit that you hide behind the dash They may be more expensive but that's because they work well.
  22. If you are seriously considering Nitrous (and I mean seriously considering it, not just because your mate said it's cool) I suggest spending a solid day researching exactly what it is, how it works, what are the differences between all the systems, what you want out of it etc. Only then should you consider looking into buying a kit. Otherwise you will be like most amatuer nitrous users and cook an engine.
  23. Techedge 2J9. Great to use, good price and an Aussie brand. Never had problems and neither have my mates that use the same brand.
