  1. So how's this come along man? Has she been run in yet?
  2. Yeah im dying to know the answer to this aswell.
  3. Wow that's hot. Almost makes you not want to put a set of tyres on it lol.
  4. Ahhh i see. Thanks for clearing that up.
  5. My old mans CV8 Monaro has just under 400rwkw with a 11psi manifold blower, water-air cooler, cam etc etc. There really isnt much that can keep up with it on the street. I was amazed how well it hooks up off the line aswell (it does have a lot of suspension work and decent tyres though), we beat a EVO X off the line which i was absolutely amazed by. Maybe the dude in the Evo didn't know how to launch it properly but still. But yeah, a LS series engine with a form of forced induction really does have the best of both worlds, big displacement and plenty of airflow.
  6. What's a quench pad?! That's a new one for me lol.
  7. Hmmm i dunno, im still finding it hard to like the 370z. Maybe in real life they will look good, but from the photos the body lines just seem to be all over the place.
  8. Easiest one to use is the vacuum line that goes to the fuel pressure regulator to the left of the oil cap. Actually i just remembered (sorry mine is all aftermarket/custom shit so i forget what it all looks like from factory) there is a little nipple on the black intercooler pipe that goes from the turbo to the side mount intercooler. It's the one the factory boost solenoid uses. Have a look and you will find it. Here's a quick pick (its late so bare with the crapness lol) Hope that helps ya man. EDIT: Unless you have custom pipework like me, therefore you wont have any nipple, which after reading your original post is most likely the case. So yeah you could drill a hole into the pipework, and use a brass fitting and try to either weld it in or something.
  9. Sorry It's late, i aint sleepy and i need some form or entertainment lol. Ohwell porn it is.
  10. Yeah what happened to that aquaplanning thread? Who made a threat lol.
  11. Yeah how do you accidentally put diesel in, especially half a tank!!
  12. Oh ok fair enough. Hopefully we both have good luck with them
  13. Yep LS1 weighs 50kg less due to alloy block. GTST: pretty sure the LS2 weighs nearly exactly the same as the LS1, maybe by a fraction more.
  14. As far as im aware only SR20's have them identical where as all RB's are different on the intake and exhaust side because the intake cam has a bolt going through the centre of it where as the exhaust cam has 4 small bolts around the outside. EDIT: I just looked at some pictures and the intake aftermarket cam gears have the 4 little bolts on it aswell, yet the intake cam has a bolt that goes through the middle, so whats the go with that?
  15. Nah don't do it to the plenum, you want it as close to the turbo as possible. So id fork out some cash and get some one to weld in a nipple on the cooler pipe coming out from the turbo. Im guessing its a stock turbo and therefore doesn't have a nipple on the compressor housing?
  16. Ported and polished, increase of 30% flow to 255cfm. You can increase up to 270cfm but costs an extra $500. Pressure testing the head. New seals. Angled valve job. Installing my new springs and then decking the head. So pretty much a full reco job. $1050 plus freight of my head. I might give them a buzz and see how much extra its gonna cost to install an oil restrictor to the head, figured i might aswell do it while its off. Going to do some more reading on it though.
  17. Lewis Engines in Adelaide.
  18. Yeah playing it by yourself at night with the volume up definetely tests how jumpy you are.
  19. When you start the game for the first time, start or Hard, otherwise its too easy to finish. I think Hard should be the normal difficulty.
  20. Exactly^
  21. Oh ok, cheers Trent. Im getting the head done at that Lewis engines place that you mentioned in Adelaide, see how it goes. You end up getting a head off of them?
  22. Haha i was actually thinking then when i saw how much crap there was on top of the pistons. Ill try some of the suggestions, thanks a lot guys.
  23. Yeah the Aston is gorgeous, but 4 million is a joke you have to admit.
  24. Keep the internals stock, push the power out and see how long it lasts. If it breaks then decide whether to build it or what direction you want to go with the car. It might last 3 years before it lets go and by then you might have enough money to buy a OS GIKEN engine for all you know.
