Neither the series 1 turbo nor the series 2 turbo has steel wheels. Series 2 has a nylon compressor wheel where as the series 1 doesn't. Thats the only difference.
Yes you can hear a difference between an aftermarket steel wheel turbo and a nylon wheel turbo, but i seriously doubt you could hear a difference between the series 1 and the series 2 turbo....
God not this shit again...
Why does this get brought up every week.
Speaking of flutter/dose, has any one seen that ignition dvd with the BADWOG R33 (its a pretty old one) and he goes on about wanting the car to flutter?
F**k its piss funny!!
"I wanted a hektik flutter, like a full melbourne spec VL flutter! Its bad for the turbo and its probably gonna blow but its hektik!"
Hahahahaha god that was gold!
I didnt think that the RB26 front cam gear cover could be used if your retaining the VCT came gear......
Therefore the only way to use it is to get rid of the VCT gear?
Correct?
Still, for 6k to make 364kw and last nearly a year with the only thing being a bit low on compression, you pull it out, sell the bottem end, buy another bottem end for like 1.5k and it lasts another year aint too bad IMO.
True points, however i do appreciate when some one does the car up themselves, over just buying an allready modified car that has 400kw and thinks they are top shit yet knows nothing about any of the mods to the car. Not saying this is the point here, just saying i understand where BANGN is coming from.
Any power is pretty much achievable with a RB engine as long as its built well and the turbo can support the airflow. 500HP is nothing new. Why are you building an engine over 3-4 years?
Why would you get a 20k loan for a car, when you dont know what kind of car you want? Wouldn't it have been easier to pick the car you want, then got the exact money that you needed for it and used a bank that would give you the money for the car that you wanted?
