  1. Sorry but i gotta comment on this on your behalf warlord. 1. What the hell does that mean? "Driving Skill"... pretty sure he has run his car down the drags and run a decent time, what did you think it would do, a 9sec pass? Your forgetting its a RWD car, not a AWD GTR, its a lot harder to get a decent time out of a RWD with wheel spin and keeping it straight then just putting a twin plate in a GTR, sitting on limiter, dropping the clutch and holding on. No brains, please explain this part to me? 2. He has chosen to keep his car very streetable, hence he hasnt wacked on a T88, but something that is a lot more resposive then even the standard twin turbo setup on a RB26 which is pretty shithouse below 4000rpm. He could have if he wanted to put a huge turbo on it and made more power then your "RB26 and bolt ons". Fully built RB25 is just as strong as a fully built RB26 so both can easily handle the big boy turbos if drag times is all that your after, which he quite clearly isn't. Also pretty sure you can't make 320kw@wheels out of a GTR that easily, stock R32/R33 GTR turbos max out at what 240-250rwkw? So a turbo upgrade is needed, closest thing for good response and power on a street GTR is probably something like 2530's or similar. Cost of turbo's, full exhaust, power FC, injectors, fuel pump, intercooler etc etc... well hell what do you know, its pretty much the same stuff he has done to his. The man has spent a lot of money on his car and has done it the way he has wanted to and its a great setup car. So if you don't have anything contributing to say, don't say it.
  2. Prostition and drugs is usually the easiest but can be quite difficult with the whole "legal" side of things
  3. No such thing as a top half greddy plenum. It's all in one and replaces everything in the stock setup, runners and plenum.
  4. Some great posts and info in this thread guys, keep it coming The more and more i read about these R.I.P.S rb30 conversions, the more im thinking of them being a really good priced package compared to other options.
  5. what highflow u using for that?
  6. You always want more power But yeah with some better tyres and suspension setup to get the car under the 2.0 60ft mark, u'll definetely crack an 11.
  7. That car is in Townsville, had a good look at it once and yeah definetely looks custom.
  8. Nice results as always man
  9. Hope the other companies don't go down this path. Just HKS and Blitz left from the main ones to not file bankrupcy.
  10. Pretty sure the whiteline ones come with the bushes. I could be wrong though. I'm looking at getting mine soon
  11. Ahh ok i see. Cheers.
  12. Wish they made the full carbon ones for the GTST
  13. I always thought that you lose the VCT when doing a RB30 bottem end because of the oil galleries or something
  14. With your RB30 stock bottom ends from NZD$4000, are these all ready to be bolted straight onto a twin cam head?
  15. Yep, you will need to rescale the injectors on the Power FC to get it to run and most likely the tune will need to be slightly altered, but nothing drastic. It will be the o-rings leaking the fuel, so just make sure when you put the new injectors in you get some new orings for them, if you havnt allready got them.
  16. PM Slide, i think he can do the HKS GTRS kit a bit cheaper. Honestly don't worry about "if the turbo fails its going to blow the engine" because it isn't! It is very, very rare for parts of the exhaust wheel to go upwards into the exhaust manifold and into a valve. Most of the time the exhaust wheel and shaft end up in your cat. If your unlucky enough the compressor wheel will let go and end up in an intercooler. For some of those parts to get through into your engine is rare so honestly if you don't actually want an upgrade because you want more power, only due to you being worried, then just leave the turbo as it is. Turbo upgrades blow $5000+ easily out of your wallet when you include: turbo $1000-$2500 ecu $1000-$1500 Z32 AFM $200 (if not MAP sensored) fuel pump $200-$300 injectors $600 clutch $500-$1000 splitfire coilpacks $450 tune $400-$600 intercooler/exhaust/silcone/etc etc Labour if you aren't doing anything yourself... $1000-$1500 It all adds up man. Now whats better, leaving the car as it is, or spending that much money just to make sure the turbo doesn't let go.... Your call.
  17. ECU Sold! HKS Cams, AFM and Plenum still for sale.
  18. BKR... or BCPR... both fit skylines so your plugs are the correct ones.
  19. If you want to push over 250kw forget the KKR430, go the kkr480. The most i have seen out of a KKR480 is around 260kw at 18-19psi. GTR injectors wont fit the RB25 as they are top feed not side feed. Therefore if you want to get out of it cheap you can use S15 injectors. But honestly just fork out a bit more cash and get yourself some Nismo 555cc injectors. Yes you will need some form of engine management so you can scale the new injectors. The stock ECU won't allow you to do this. Either install a Bosch 040, or if you want to save yourself the hassle in modifying one to fit, get a direct replacement Nismo/Tomei item.
  20. If you got the coin and have gone to all that effort with the engine get it done. It's not really that dear and i personally havn't heard of bad stories regarding doing it.
  21. Basically leave everything set to zero at first. Then adjust the boost percentage to the peak pressure you want to run (ie 14psi) . When you are happy with that start adjusting the gain percent to the highest value before it overboosts. Then set the start boost to the highest value of pressure you can before it overboosts. These will give you the highest ramp up you can get. Thats a very basic description but that's all it is in essence.
