  1. Well the reason i asked is because i wanna get a carbon bonnet, leaving the vents in carbon and painting the rest of the bonnet white. Something different

  7. Bit off topic, but how hard is it to paint a carbon fibre bonnet to match the car? Like can you get a perfect match with the paint or will it look different due to the carbon fibre bottom layer? Probably covered before but i cbf searching
  8. The new spec LS Greddy cores are 30% lighter over the old ones, are tube and fin over bar and plate, are fairly cheap at around $650 off the shelf for the kit and fit perfectly, not to mention look great. Probably one of the best buy intercoolers on the market IMO.
  9. Yeah that would be with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. No way standard injectors can push that much on standard fuel pressure. Even with a FPR, 245rwkw is just asking for trouble on stock injectors.
  10. Without a fuel pressure regulator i wouldnt be pushing them too much past 215kw to be safe.

  12. Can some one answer wether if a turbo spins nicely, could it still some how be a dodgy highflow? Like what would cause it to not make boost?
  13. ummmm for about 3 seconds before it pushes that much hot air it'll melt all 6 pistons.....way out of the GT-RS's efficiency rating.

  17. The HKS actuator has a minimum setting of about 14psi and is adjustable. The HKS GTRS kit comes with the HKS actuator so a bit pointless to use a standard one on it.
  18. 5W-30 to 10W-60 is quite a difference, 30 viscosity to a 60 viscosity.... Not saying that is the problem but just stating that it is a very different oil. Don't think the heat range in the plugs would cause this.
  19. Honestly if the car is only used on the street, i wouldnt bother doing the oil control thing. Up to him i suppose.
  20. You can modify the standard one to be adjustable, i remember reading some where on here on how to do it.
  21. Yep, definetely a good invest on a RB26 especially if your doing the timing belt. Good gains can be had with a bit of playing around with the pulleys. As for what brand, it was the old HKS ones that were a problem. Nowadays they are all pretty much the same so just grab what ever cheap ones you can from one of the traders here.
  22. Trust PEII's are fairly quite for a jap exhaust compared to Blitz and HKS and are the cheapest jap option that i know of.
  23. You thinking about doing anything with the valves ie. 1mm oversized? Or getting some one to do a 3 angle valve job? Im tossing up on what to do to mine when i take the head off. Other than that it looks like you pretty much have everything in the head covered.
  24. Ok change of plans for the final time. After much discussion with my tuner, we are going to rebuild the head but he doesn't want to use the HKS cams so i am giving up on them and going to try a set of Poncams and see if they work. They are back up for sale if any one is still interested or will do a straight swap for Poncams (the HKS ones are dearer so you would be getting a better deal). Sorry for mucking people around.
