Yeah mine is on the same spot man so thats cool. There's two things that i could think of that may narrow it down a bit more. a) If you can borrow a dump pipe off of some one that is an all in one bellmouth pipe and not a split dump pipe. I had dramas with my split dump pipe and went to an all in one bellmouth one. I remember reading some where that some people have had their wastegate flap "pulled" open by a vacuum caused in the pipe from the wastegate by the exhaust gases flowing past it down near the cat when the wastegate is shut. It's a long shot but you never know. b) Try an electronic boost controller and see if it can keep the wastegate shut. Have a look for Trents (URAS) thread from a couple of days ago about electronic boost controllers, kind of explains a bit there. Other than that it seems to be a faulty actuator that has lost its spring pressure or something and is opening the wastegate early. Did you buy the kit new or second hand?

Sound travels furthur and is more audible in the cold, hence why you are probably hearing it in the mornings more. Maybe it is some how related to the cd player?
-
Hmm so for some reason the actuator is pushing the gate open and leaking off exhaust gases. What dump pipe you running?

You sure its not pinging

Max boost at 6000ish rpm? That doesn't seem right man. Best bet, put the car back on the dyno, wire the wastegate flap shut and see how quickly it ramps up boost, if it hits full boost a lot earlier than most likely your wastegate is opening a bit early and leaking off exhaust gases. Maybe invest in an electronic boost controller if thats the case to try and hold the gate shut.

Want To Sell R34 V-spec2 Nur And Get New Gtr35!
PM-R33 replied to mines's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I wish i was stuck in your situation....... "Hmmm do i keep my newly ordered R34 V Spec or purchase a R35.....Hmmmmmm" Bastard! -
Your mate is an idiot, in no way, shape or form does it have anything to do with boost. I have a blitz exhaust on mine, and it shouldnt sound like a wrx, the only time it sounds like a wrx is when it drops a cylinder and runs on 5 instead of 6. Check all of your spark plugs and coil packs. Dont run any more than 12psi on the turbo if you want it to last a while.

Dyno Graphs Comparing Pfc Boost Controll Vs Blitz Idiii
PM-R33 replied to STATUS's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
With regards to setting the gains Trent, do you just pick your desired boost level that you want to hold, then just keep increasing the gains to the maximum setting before it starts to spike boost? -
Dry

I got one on the 25, even if it doesnt give you any performance gains, the fact it makes your engine bay go from looking like ass to looking sexy as hell is worth the money. I cannot stand the standard RB20 and RB25 plenums, look like absolute sh*t!. Also makes working on your car so much easier because you dont have a million things in the way. If you can afford one and want one, get one.

I thought it was allready out? I swear i played it on PS3, it was an allright game, but nothing to exciting.

Max Rwkw Standard R33 Gtst Injectors?
PM-R33 replied to skozza711's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I wouldnt push them over 230rwkw without a fuel pressure regulator and i wouldnt be trying to squeeze out more through the standard injectors by upping the fuel pressure. At the end of the day use whatever information you get as a guide, watch your AFR's and injector duty cycle on the dyno and dont lean on them too hard regardless what power your making. Last thing you want is a cylinder leaning out at 7000rpm. -
Cometic Multi Layer Steel Headgasket
PM-R33 replied to Jamie88's topic in General Automotive Discussion
New headgasket regardless how long its been on the car, once it has been torqued down onto the head, taking it off and trying to reuse it isnt a good idea, and for the cost of $300 or so to get a new one its a lot better than having to take the head off again a week later. -
What, it got banned!!! FARRRRRKK!!! I've been looking forward to this for ages! Stupid bloody australian laws, that sucks so much!

Gtr Vs Gtst Huge Difference In Performance?
PM-R33 replied to boostin_r33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
In a way i agree, but i reckon its the other way around. In a RWD car, due to its nature to oversteer, you always know where that limit is and when it steps out you can regain it quite easily by holding the slide. However AWD cars give a bit of a false sense of security and their limits aren't always known to the driver, not so much talking about GTR's here due to them mainly being RWD when driving around normally, but WRX's and EVO's. Once these cars get pushed over their limit they violently snap out into a spin which is incredibly hard to control and therefore in a way more dangerous. In the past few years here in Townsville there have been three major crashes in WRX's where atleast one occupant has died in each crash due to the driver losing control and spinning out. So yeah i agree with the fact AWD does help put power down and control it due to it not braking traction as easily, but when pushed to far i believe the AWD has a higher risk of killing occupants then a RWD. Just my thoughts on the matter. -
Definetely dump pipe for sure, change that and then go from there.

Yeah he came up about a month ago and did a few cars, mine and tristans (Gojira) got into HPI. No idea when it will be featured, they said it can sometimes take up to 6 months Yeah the clutch got done in February, holds up fine now

Does it try to kick over or does it kind of just click when you turn the key? Id say the CAS. Check that first.
-
Pics look good man, but as said above, probably not the best to pay money for. I just had my car photographed for HPI the other month and have similar pics to you, vehicle moving from different angles, sun casting shadows onto car etc and the photos the photographer from HPI are fantastic. For example the one of your car side on while its moving is a bit blurred to the rear and the background is incredibly blurred, ie not the correct shutter speed etc while the one i have is completely in focus other then the wheels turning. Just little things like that. Your's are still good photos man, better then i could do haha.

Only if running a stock ECU and AFM combo.
