  1. Dahtone Racing, i swear you must have one of the nicest RB engine bays
  2. Lol http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Brand-New-HKS-Power...1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. Yeah i was pretty sure the 300V range is a group 5 oil. Personally i have never used the redline engine oils, we sell both motul and redline at work but i always use the Motuls for engine oil and redline for gearbox. What information makes you think that the top of the range redline is better then the 300V? I've had training done by the Motul reps through Link Performance and i'm pretty sure the 300V range is pretty much one of the best oils you can buy in Australia.
  4. Ahh yeah true, our stupid Australian laws. I suppose the main thing it would get done for is the drifting....
  5. Pretty sure some female activists would get together and get the add banned saying its sexist to women portraying them as going after guys with nice cars.........cause that doesn't ever happen......
  6. Black Supra or a Black S15.....i've owned two white cars
  7. At work (Autobarn) we can get sparco gear. So maybe try a local Autobarn and tell them that they should be able to get it. Pretty sure the Sparco supplier is in Adelaide.
  8. Hmmm, interesting. The dyno sheet does look pretty legit and you can't really "fake" 40rwkw, like 10kw or something i could understand, but 40!! Only thing i can think of is that it is another cars dyno sheet, or you do infact have a high flowed turbo of some sort. Personally i would give them a call and say "Look, everyone i have talked to has said the RB25 turbo cannot physically flow that much power in standard form, so what do u think is going on?". See what they say...
  9. Pftt they are not homo and how old are we talking? I know of ones that have been on a car for a few years and they still look fine. Its just carbon fibre with a clear coat or resin over it, so how would it differ from a carbon bonnet or any other piece of carbon?
  10. They are actual carbon fibre with a sticky backing, so yeah its a sticker, but it is actual carbon fibre. They look really good but like people have said, they are expensive, $110-$120. I'm getting some for mine soon to match my carbon mirrors
  11. Yep, thats right, the front and the rear won't sit perfectly. The length is the same though. Main thing visually between them is that GTST side skirts are all one smooth piece where as GTR side skirts have a line on the skirt where the quarter panel and door meet. Not sure if it is one piece or two, never seen a GTR side skirt off of the car.
  12. You need a press to push the old bushes out, so unless you have access to something like a 10tonne press, you can't really do it yourself. Cheapest thing to do would probably take out your control arms yourself and take it to a suspension shop to push the old bushes out and put the new bushes in.
  13. Or you could fork out for something like a Hypertune throttle body and get it adapted on.
  14. Coolest car add ever!
  15. Hmm interesting, i wonder if you guys do something different down there I've never seen a RB26 push out that much power with just an exhaust system/boost increase, filters etc without some sort of tune or aftermarket engine management system. Then again you get a lot colder weather down there.....but still, a bit strange.
  16. Hmm interesting. I'm impressed that there are that many RB25's running over 300kw with standard head gaskets and still running strong.
  17. For the people running 300 or so kw on a stock RB25, what head gasket are you'se using?
  18. I've got it idling now so it drives fine, its not perfect but it is drivable (just jumps around down low a little bit on low throttle or when backing off). Don't really want to give it much until it gets retuned again just incase so ill let you know. I hope the sound doesn't change to much once its tuned, sounds very different. Certain model series 2 R33's came with the GTR V-SPEC A-LSD from factory, mine is one of them Not sure if it was a factory option or wether it was the last models of the series 2's, cant remember now, read about it on here a long time ago.
  19. I think a lot of people get a POD filter on a skyline because.... A: The stock airbox looks like shit if you have a nice looking engine bay (fair enough a lot of people want the stock look under the bonnet but to others a stock engine bay is about as interesting as watching a granny masturbate) I'm pretty sure i would shoot myself if someone made me put a stock airbox on my car, but that's just me. B: With aftermarket turbos and custom pipework why would you go to the hassle of modifying the stock box just to make it fit when you could easily just get a pod filter and shield it off a little bit? IMO a pod filter in a nice enclosed airbox is going to be a lot better for MOST people with skylines than keeping the stock airbox unless your car is fairly stock. Everyone is different though so why try to convince other people? Ever tried convincing a straight man to have sex with another man? It just aint going to happen..... End of rant.
  20. Poncams don't have any marking on them, HKS ones have "HKS" stamped on them but Tomei ones don't have "Tomei" on them.
  21. Ok so we finished putting the timing belt, seals, tensioners, camshafts on last night and started her up. She's having a bit of a problem idling but the retune will fix that. Now the cams sound tuff as f**k for relatively small cams, i think once tuned it will settle down a bit but i love it the way it is As for the gates timing belt, it doesn't make a sound at all so not sure what everyone is talking about, maybe its just the blue gates racing belts, i've got the black one. Overall very happy
  22. I was planning on buying some 255 Adrenalin's soon, this aint good news Other then the tearing issue (which could be a bad batch or something i suppose), how are your customers and you finding the tyres? Good grip? Last a while? Any info would be great Trent, thanks.
  23. Yeah i know the ones you are talking about. The Type X tail lights are definetely the pick of the bunch for a 180.
