  1. Very nice mate! Good idea with just sticky taping the camera there, so simple yet very effective.
  2. Yeah its weird, call of duty does it aswell. In the settings menu on the PS3 where you set the video settings (720,1080i,1080p), if you have all three selected it automatically plays on 720. However if you deselect 720, it will play on 1080p. I wonder why it does this Doing a burnout for a while blows your tyres!!! Fantastic
  3. Hahaha nice, i think i might use that one when selling filters at work
  4. Hmm interesting test that one. Can't believe how badly the HKS one did in it, i wonder if it was rigged....
  5. He ment his latest tune has allowed him to get more km's out of his tank (ie more fuel efficient) yet retaining the same power level. He didn't mean he got a bigger fuel tank.
  6. Which autobarn? Lol. Cause i wrote up a list at work for a skyline mod list thing, some one is stealing my Autobarn ideas
  7. LOL! But in all seriousness i reckon this thread is a great idea.
  8. Whats the "explosive" kit look like? Got a pic or a link, never heard of it thats all.
  9. At 255kw@wheels mine is around 550-600Nm, not sure on actual figure as i dont have the print out of the torque curve only power curve. Old mans Blow CV8 Monaro was dynoed in Brisbane at Power Torque with 370kw@wheels and 1080Nm of torque, then with a bit of a tidy up of the tune up here in Townsville and changing the air intake slightly its making roughly the same power with 1100Nm of torque. No bullshit on both torque figures, i have both dyno graphs. It feals unreal and plants you in the seat like no other car i have ever been in.
  10. 0.64 exhaust housing
  11. You mean on stock skyline the first thing you would do is a form of engine management Then get and intercooler, full exhaust and more boost which then needs to be retuned again for the new modifications throwing off the original tune......IMO engine management should be done after basic mods so you only need to potentially tune it once if thats all your doing out of the stock turbo. I reckon so far he's doing the right thing.
  12. Assuming compression ratio is the same id put my money on the 2.8 with a single.
  13. Yep as said by Basti, get the SAFC, a tune and the dump pipe. Should just be around $1000 and give you the best gains.
  14. Injectors you cant do because its a stock ECU and you dont need any bigger injectors because your stock ones arent maxed out. Fuel pump once again doesnt need to be done because its not maxing out. I reckon the best bang for buck that you can do is getting a split dump pipe, something like an x-force one. They are like $350 or something and you'll atleast feal the difference. Spend the remaining money on something else. Theres not much you can realisticly do with a $1000 that is going to give you a decent "performance upgrade". However if you want it to handle better, spend the remaining money on front and rear sway bars, which again for the money will be the best handling modification that you can do.
  15. I think the girls you would be able to pick up in that would be far on the other side of the "gracefull" spectrum. You'd be getting a headjob before you even managed to put your seat belt on. lol. As the Hummer dealer dude from Borat says "The car is the pussy magnet!"
  16. Hahahahaha!
  17. I had Pedders Sports Ryder suspension in my car and i was never that happy with it. Used to be really rough when going over train tracks/ rough roads or something, but at high speed the car seemed to kind of "float" on the road and didnt feal like the car was glued down so to speak. Now not sure wether it was a fault or something with the suspension or i was being picky but yeah. However my old man has them in the Monaro and they feal great. Being a totally different car this may have something to do with it. Recently i sold them and went to Tein Super streets and the difference in suspension was unbelievable. Very happy with my decision. I'd probably suggest either Sydneykids Bilstein Suspesion as every one praises it or go something like the Super Streets. Hope that helps.
  18. Ok thats good to hear, aslong as the springs are fine (which im hoping they will be) ill drop my cams in and hopefully not have to worry about the shims. Suddenly went from an easy job to a nightmare when uz started talking about $30 shims lol.
  19. You reckon any of this is needed if your not going over 9mm lift?
  20. Yeah, dont bother, if you want a bit of response on the street on the setup, dont look at anything much past a 3540 IMO.
  21. .....bit of a big difference in turbo recommendations dont you think? Ones rated at 500HP the other at around 800HP....
  22. I dont think you can go wrong with anything around the GT35 range (either a GT3540 or something slightly smaller, GT3240), they will easily give you the power you want (rated around 600-700HP) and beyond and being a 3L this gives you the displacement to spool it up quickly. Quick edit: Just noticed you have 500cc injectors, are they actually 500cc or nismo 555cc injectors? Either way, if you want to go much over 300, say 330ish, id probably recommend 740cc injectors just so you arent running the 500cc on such a high duty cycle.
  23. I'd back that off a bit man, seems very high unless the tyres you have are made to be run that high I normally run between 35-38psi, if someone can tell me they can feel a difference of a couple of psi on the street they are full of shit.
  24. Do they HAVE to be the special nuts with the little crimp things on each side to stop it from vibrating lose or whatever it is for? Is that why they are difficult to find? Ill have another look around at some shops tomorrow arvo.
