  1. Very true, at the end of the day you have to realise that it is airflow that makes a greater increase in power then simply adding more boost. Obviously adding more boost gives more power (as long as the turbo is in its efficiency rating), but it is no where as much as increasing airflow or taking out restrictions. Think of a GTRS on 20psi compared to a T04Z on 20psi. Same kind of theory with twin turbo setups, you can run them on low boost pressure but because there is 2 of them you have double the airflow (think about a RB26). Tuning plays a huge ball game here, that's why it is very hard to compare. How far has the tuner pushed the car? Is he pushing it to an absolute limit where its about to ping its head off if intake temperatures increase by just 5 degrees, or has he made it safe as so you can sit it on limiter in 40 degree weather and not ping it at all. What does the tuner think is a safe knock level? Some tuners will push a car up to a certain knock because it is still relitively safe. What fuel are they using? 91octane, 95octane, 98octane,100octane plus? How old is the fuel, people are kidding themselves if they think when they top up with 98 octane fuel it is always 98 octane, i know of a BP here in Townsville that got done a few years ago for putting normal unleaded into the ultimate bousers. There are to many variables that people dont list or that are unaware of. Hence why one car can make 260rwkw on 20psi on a GTRS where as others can make 290rwkw on same boost.
  2. Haha, I hope not.......
  3. Ok, so having both hands off of the steering wheel and eating is an offecnce, i agree, however having one hand on the wheel and the other having a drink, smoke, eating something, scratching your nuts etc is fine, agreed? Therefore we need to go back to the original post and ask, was the person eating the sandwich at the light using one hand or two? lol.
  4. Lol. "Yes officer i do realise i can't drive a turbo car on my P's, however i suffer from a medical condition where my body needs to feal a car on boost, otherwise i have a high risk of going into cardiac arrest."
  5. Im curious about this aswell. A dickhead i know drives a GTST on his P's, thinks he is so tuff driving a turbo car on his P's What happens if they catch you? Fine and a warning or something? Say he pissed me off and some how cops found out about this.......would much happen to him?
  6. WTF are you serious? Maybe i could slightly understand it if you had like a coke in one hand and a buger in the other while doing 100 on the freeway, but taking a bite out of a sandwich at a red light? Cops seriously have nothing better to do than crap like this?
  7. Nope, will be fine, just depends what you want. What kind of turbo is it? 30 series garrett or something?
  8. Simple fluid mechanics, two units of fluid (in this case oxygen), each at their own pressure when combined do not combine pressure. Therefore 14psi from one turbo and 14psi from another turbo does not equal 28psi, it is still 14psi.
  9. Have a look in the drivetrain thread, plenty of information on them there. I for one highly recommend it, got one in my car and its fine to drive, bites nice and hard but still has a little bit of play in it for parking/low speed.
  10. Glad you got it back mate, ill take the poster down for ya at work. Hope you find out who it was and put a baseball bat to their head
  11. Went for a drive in a RB20 with a 700HP turbo on it the other day, i was unimpressed, never been in a car that actually came off of boost during a gear change and had to build up boost again.T04e's are very, very outdated man, i personally would be going something more modern, the lag that thing is going to have is a joke. Each to their own i suppose.
  12. This thread is a joke right? You drive a RWD car and when turning in the wet the back kicked out slightly causing oversteer and your wondering wether this is normal.......umm yes it is.
  13. I would have thought the RB26 would be more resposive; larger displacement, better flowing head with larger cams, 6 throttle intake etc. Only down side i can see is the RB26 having a lower compression ratio. However surely a RB25 would still be slightly laggier with twins? Any one that has experienced both cars know?
  14. Hope you find it mate, saw the A4 sheet that you brought into my work (Autobarn) to hang up. This town is a small place so surely some one will hear something about it. Good luck bud.
  15. Out of curiosity, whats the RB25 like to drive on twin turbo's, lag wise i mean. Compared to a standard twin turbo RB26, noticable lag difference?
  16. Rocket Industries have the kits available. Just go see someone that deals with Rocket, I work at Autobarn and we can get them through work so maybe just go see someone at a Autobarn near you. Not sure on the price of the kits honestly, havn't priced it up. I think they come in two different kits, with a remote poper or a poper some where on the door. Not sure what the laws are like where you live, but in QLD its illegal to have a fully shaved drivers side door with a remote poper, have to have a poper on the door somewhere. The passenger side is fine i think. Hope that helps ya a bit.
  17. That steering wheel has ruined that interior! Makes it look 20 years older, no thanks!
  18. Lol. Good idea though, lot of people ask about this, best thing to keep it seperated so information can be found easily. Good stuff.
  19. The first pic is actually a GTST, ive got a under bonnet pic of it and its got a RB25 in it. Bloody asian posers putting GTR badges on GTST's Every month or so i always flick open the Autosalon issue with GTN1K in it and im amazed every time i see it. The amount of effort that would have had to be put in to modify that whole kit to make it fit a GTST (made for a GTR) and all the custom work done to it (custom boot, shaved everything, modified quarter panels and front bar etc) is amazing.
  20. GTN1K is the sexiest skyline i have ever seen, hands down love that car! Best looking R33 IMO.
  21. Ahh yep, that's it, i knew it was something along those lines
  22. Correct Will play around with the VCT next tune when the cams get done, see what point is the best to switch it off at. I decided to go with HKS 256/264 cams retaining the VCT. Will see how i go, should have them in the car with in the next 5 weeks.
  23. There are 2 different versions of the datalogit software as fair as im aware, version one for example does R32/R33 RB's, 2J's, 1J's, Ej20's etc and the second version does R34RB's, CA's, SR's, 4G63 etc. Those are examples but you get the picture. So yeah the software will do a number of cars. Hope that helps ya.
  24. Lol Someone find some of these cheap strobe light things so i can have some fun for a night
  25. How are you not in jail yet lol
