  1. Bahahahahahahah those dam japs
  2. That's some crazy power outputs on stock injectors guys! Well done! Im about to get a SAFC Neo sometime this week and then see what we can get out of my set up on the HKS GT-RS because at the moment it is running ridiculously rich. I figured the amount of fuel i would go through would probably pay for a SAFC Neo in a couple of months. For now ill be happy with about 230kw @ wheels on the stock injectors and by the looks of your guys dyno sheets, i might actually achieve this. Anyone running a GT-RS on a SAFC and stock injectors? Would be curious to know how they go.
  3. As said above, Blitz ID3 or spec R if you dont want the flashy features of the i-colour. Blitz dual solenoid boost controllers have been tested many times in magazines such as Zoom and have been voted the best for holding boost. I still like the Greddy Profec B 2 though All great boost controllers in my books.
  4. Mate you have no idea what you are getting yourself into if 20g is all you have and want a R32 GTR. As said before, you better have a deep wallet ready to keep the GTR happy. They are a great reliable car if you can keep them in good working order. Have a bit of a research into what the costs are to maintain a GTR and you shall soon understand. All it takes is for you to go cheap on oil one service, add some extra boost to the car and end up with a hefty rebuild. Judging from reading your posts i would go the GTiR in your shoes and don't go asking on a SKYLINES forum wether to buy a skyline over a pulsar, its like going to a brothel and asking wether they think condoms are a good idea.
  5. My thoughts exactly
  6. GTR weighs too much.......you think that dropping a RB30/26 into a AWD nissan silvia will be much lighter?
  7. I still can't believe how real those cars look! Really looking forward to this one.
  8. Lol yeah this is getting freaking confusing and you people now have me freaking out that i have a vacuum leak! I agree that about -0.6 or -0.7 IN BAR is what it normally should sit on. Do we all agree on this?
  9. So your chasing a stainless steel airbox for your pod? If so unique autosports sell them in stainless, carbon fibre or fibreglass. Check out their website.
  10. Yeah aftermarket says -10psi, stock one reads about -0.7 bar which is equal to -9.8psi Nowhere near -18psi.
  11. Oh ok cheers! I was gonna fu**ing say, how the hell people were getting -18psi!!! Both mine and my mates sit on about -0.6, -0.7 bar.
  12. Mine sits on about -0.6 bar on my stock gauge and on my aftermarket one which is around -10psi How the hell are uz gettting -18psi?? The stock gauge only goes to -1 bar which is -14psi??
  13. Stock injectors and AFM at the moment. I havnt had the car dynoed since the new turbo so ur guess is as good as mine to what it would make. Ill probably get a SAFC for now and see how far i can push that. The next performance step is to go a Power FC and injectors but like with most mods, money is holding me back for the time being.
  14. I never get why people come on here to tell people im going to put this and this on my car (copy and paste someones shopping list from another thread) and say they are putting it into their car and then ask a bunch of stupid questions when they obviously have no idea what they are talking about. Seriously, do you kids have nothing better to do? Shouldn't uz be touching urself to a cheap porno or something at this time of the night?
  15. Hahahahhahahah you would be correct
  16. Thanks man, it looks sexy as in the car. Here's a pic of it all installed. I got the kit off of nengun and it was around $2500 delivered, so a very good price in my books. I'm still running it on the stock ECU (I know, i know i need a ECU!), but it runs ok on it. Comes on boost really early and pulls hard, sounds absolutely unreal! Really loud spool/whistle sound, i love it! But yeah i wanna get a power FC for it soonish if i can get my hands on one, then the fun will begin
  17. ahhhh!! That actually sounds correct, looks to be the same size as the hose aswell. I think you are right, hahaha what a stupid part Thanks man, my curiousity is gone now
  18. Ok just got a quick question that i want answering because i have asked a few ppl and no one knows what the hell this thing is for. Im pretty sure it's not really important and at first i didn't really care. However my curiousity is starting to get to me and i want to know what this is! So lets play GUESS THIS PART! What the hell is this thing in the HKS GT-RS kit?? I fitted the whole kit and it runs beautifully, but this part wasn't used and no where in the jap instructions does it say what it's for. So any one know or care to take a guess? I was thinking some sort of heat shield thing?
  19. Hahahah! I always wondered why out of all things they named them "KKK" turbos But yeah back on topic, very good turbos mate. Like said earlier, they are fitted to some of the worlds best factory turboed cars.
  20. HKS GT-RS kit gives you everything to fit it perfectly. No other expenses really needed. With the garrett one you would need to do the following: 3 new braided lines with fittings for oil and water Modify your dump pipe to fit onto the garrett turbo Gaskets HKS adjustable actuator (this is not needed, but too compare the two turbos you have to include this as a bonus in the HKS kit) Maybe change some pipework? Not sure if the compressor housing on the garret one lies up identically to all the the intake pipes So once you add all of that up, it ends up costing you quite a bit more than first expeceted.
  21. Hahaha thats what i was thinking aswell. But yeah i agree, great thread!
  22. Hmmmm is there even one available? I'm keen on one aswell.
  23. I use Motul Turbolight 10W40 in my car every 5000km and i have never had any dramas with it. The 300V series of Motul oils are meant to be the exact same oils that Nismo use in their race cars (Nismo 350z etc), i think of the top of my head there are 4 different 300V oils. They are extremely good oils and the reason the 300V series of oils are so expensive is because of their Ester technology. Either way, Motul make great oils and if its good enough for Nismo, its good enough for me My 2 cents worth.
  24. Mate i was in the same shoes you are in about a month ago and it pretty much came down to either a HKS GT-RS or a GCG Highflow. Both will easily get you into the 12s and take your engine internals to their limit without going a forged rebuild. To get the most out of these turbos you will need an aftermarket ECU, Z32, fuel pump, 555cc (or 700cc if you really wanna push the turbos to the limit) and all the other stuff that you allready have. On a fairly decent amount of boost you can get these turbos up to 250-260 @ the wheels and will both be very responsive. If you decide to go the extra step and take your head off, drop in a set of cams, head gasket and maybe bigger valves you can get 300 @ the wheels on a GT-RS (Not sure on the GCG as i havn't personally seen one pushed that far). However this will take the turbo to its absolute limit and your engine will most likely go bang. So its up to you, both these turbos will get you what you want and will give you heap of head room for further mods. Personally i went the GT-RS because it was only a little bit dearer than a GCG (approximately $1900 compared to about $2500). However the GT-RS comes with full braided lines, an adjustable actuator and hell, your getting a HKS turbo. So to me it was an easy choice. Hope that helps you a bit man, good luck with your choice.
